This will be a love-it-or-hate-it story. If you ask me the drama and angst were unnecessary and there was no real reason why they shouldn't be together. And they were kind of shallow.

I flew through this one in one night! I need to read the rest of the Destiny Dunes series. This story is a second chance romance between Tori and Jack. Tori tried to move on, but Jack had her heart. Jack spent the last year making lots of changes in an attempt to win her back. The two are thrust into work together and cannot stay away from each other.

I enjoyed the characters and the plot. Great book. Can't wait to dive into the rest of the series!

Up for Seconds by Melissa Chambers is book 2 in the Destiny Dunes Series. This is the story of Jack Massey and Tori Jacobs. Their story is the second change at love after being broken up for about a year. I did enjoy reading their story and will be looking for more books from this author.

Up for second Chances, is the second book of the serie and you can read it like a standalone but I guarantee that you will want to read the other books.

The characters capture your attention from the beginning and follow each step that the story flows, at times you can hate their attitudes and for others you just want to hug and tell them that everything is going to be fine

But in the end it is a sweet and beautiful story of second chances and facing your mistakes with acceptance and love.

I read book #1 in Melissa Chamber’s Destiny Dune’s series earlier this week and enjoyed it, so I was looking forward to reading book #2! I’m a little sad to say I just didn’t love this one. The angst in book one was so high and already felt pretty immature for the supposed age of the characters, I didn’t think it could get worse. I was wrong. I was bored so fast of the back and forth will they won’t they. There was no real reason for them not to be together and it just felt like too much drama for people in their mid-twenties.

Up For Seconds is a second chance romance that focuses on Jack winning back Tori after their first attempt at romance didn't quite work out.

I liked the premise of this book and the characters. I found story itself a bit hard to get through, but I enjoyed the romance and the character development overall.

I don't feel any chemistry between the two of our MCs, and I also don't care about both especially our female MC Tori. When I read this book, I keep on feeling bad for Jack, he's been trying so so goddamn hard just to win Tori back and he was treated like shit. I know Tori's a complicated character with a complicated background but really this time Jack really tries hard to win his second chance and she keeps on ignoring him. YET SHE ALWAYS JUMPS AT HIM LIKE A FUCKING TREE. I just can't with her, she's straightly MEH for me and the plot sucks. If she doesn't want him and keeps pushing him aside, then why sleep with him several times?

Tori and Jack work at the same resort. A year ago they had a brief relationship for three weeks. Until Jacks jealously breaks them up and leaves Tori hurt. Now they have been grouped together at a work retreat and Jack sees his chance to make things right. He realizes how wrong he was, and hasn’t been able to move on. This is a good second chance story.

Cute, sexy and fun. I enjoyed this one! The characters were a lot of fun. Def worth a read.
