A sweet read, but not really my style as it was a bit more on the Hallmark side of things! I think my mom would enjoy this more!
I've picked this one up and put it down quite a few times the past few years. Seriously years. I'm a lover of romance no doubt. A good love story or meet cute and I'm there. Even womens fiction with a good believable plot. Unfortunately this was neither. The dialogue was so saccharine sweet I truly don't believe anyone actually speaks this way in real life. The story was so light and fluffy it was too over the top for me. Again, this is just my opinion. I'm absolutely sure this book is perfect for the right reader. No offense to the author or anyone who loves this book. I'm just Unfortunately not the reader for this one.
I received an advanced copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you to NetGalley, Rebecca Raisin, and Harper 360. ❤️
Thank you NetGalley and Harper 360, HQ Digital for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review. This is the second book in a series. This book deals with past heartbreak, close friendships, romance and travel.
The title and synopsis of this book originally really spoke to me, and after years of putting off reading it I finally picked it up. Unfortunately this type of British romance novel is just way too light and fluffy for my taste. I have read books like this before and ended up really disliking them so I’m going to DNF this one at 10%. The dialogue between the two female MCs feels really cheeky and over the top. I hope others loved this more than I did — I don’t doubt it was a sweet story, I just don’t think it was a good match for my reading style.
I appreciate the publisher allowing me to read this book. I really enjoyed reading it the plot was interesting and the characters made me want to know more about them. I highly recommend.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review. I requested this book because I really love traveling and I also really love books. Seems like a no brainer to me...but if I am being honest, I did not love it as much as I was hoping to. I gave it four stars but it was more of a 3.5 ish kind of book for me. I loved the story line and I loved most of the characters but certain parts just drove me crazy...Aria lost her husband and is determined never to fall in love again to honor his memory. Even though there is a guy she is crazy about and keeps meeting up with...some would call that fate but she turns away every single time. Until suddenly she doesn't and bam, that's it. There was really no development into a relationship, just zero to hero. And if I never hear the word leonine again in my life, I will be good.
Aria's Travelling Book Shop is a beautifully written, sweet, and charming romance that warms your heart. I loved the whole premise of having a book shop in your van finding love again while traveling through France.
This book is another one is a recent string of arcs that never ended up on my kindle. I don't know what the problem is, but I can't review it. Sorry.
This was my first book by this author, It was pretty enjoyable. I would give this book a 3.5 star rating! It was a pretty Quick and easy read!
I chose this book basically from the cover - 1) I'll take anything about bookstores 2) I have an aunt and uncle who are full-time RVers so I thought the 'van life' concept was unique 3) I've never read any romance so I thought I'd give a new genre a try. But, it wasn't quite for me. I did like the bookshop truck, and I did relate to Aria as an avid reader, but I just didn't buy into any of the relationships in the plot. Aria spent way too much time daydreaming about Jonathan and too little time actually with him for me to commit. Rosie and Max had differing perspectives on how to live life and I felt like Max was pushing his lifestyle on Rosie too much for my liking. It was a bit slow overall, but still a quick little read.
What a charming, sweet story! I loved getting the chance to “visit” France and meet these characters. I am so thankful that I received this digital arc, thanks to NetGalley and the publisher.
I was unaware that this was part of a series so I felt I needed to backtrack after finishing this one. I loved the idea of a traveling book shop van, so cute. This was a very sweet story and perfect for a quick uplifting read. It was heartwarming and filled with love and hope. This was a feel good pick me up that I needed. The cover instantly drew me in, and the lead character just being a lover of books is something that I instantly relate to. She lives on the road, selling books that she loves and spends her days with friends old and new. Traveling, meeting new people, falling in love, reading all the books. What more could you want.
This was such a sweet book! I would classify it as women’s fiction with just a little romance. There are a couple kissing scenes so if you like clean romance or closed door this is for you. This would be safe for your mom or grandma to read if they keep bugging for recs 😉😁. I really did love it though it was very cozy and also relatable. I want to pick up the rest of the series now.
I didn’t realize this was a second book in a series. While the main character in this one was a side character in the first, it’s obvious I missed out on details. This book could be a hallmark movie. It feels just like one. Van life and traveling the world is so appealing. I love the little details of the places traveled. Give me all the French food.
Not as good as Rosie's Traveling Tea Shop. There is some nice humor from time to time but the book mostly goes on about the philosophical aspects of love. Aria still loves her dead husband who died of cancer at an early age and is fearful of loving someone new. That is all that the book is about and makes it a drag to read. The traveling life of the vagabonds as they visit the cities in France is interesting. The character Johnathan does not have enough personality to be interesting. Rosie and Aria are lively and make the book worthwhile
I enjoyed reading Aria's Travelling Book Shop by Rebecca Raisin. Treat yourself to a new author today!
I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and the publisher ~ Thank you ~ !! This is my honest and personal review.
Nomadic friends, van life, adventure, festivals, romance, France -- all are included in this tale of Aria & Jonathan and Rosie & Max.
Aria loves books--their smell, their feel, and just plain loosing oneself in romance. Jonathan looses his self in writing tales. Rosie is the detailed organizer and Max, her companion, is into healthy choices.
A fun romantic read with Aria needing to release her past so she might move forward.
A story to read in front of a fire with a glass of wine. Enjoy.
A Sweet story with a traveling book shop and a woman determined to not have a romance. But it seems like romance and the people she meets have other plans. Who knew a summer and a traveling bookshop could chance a life.
Aria started a traveling bookshop after her husband died from cancer. She likes her life in the van, and it gets even better after she meets Rosie, her runs a traveling tea shop. They join forces and travel through France during the summer. Aria swore off men after her husband died, but when she meets Jonathan again, she wonders if she shouldn’t give him a chance.
I loved reading about their “van life”, it was fun to go along with them on their travels. 4 stars.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Aria’s Traveling Book Shop by Rebecca Raisin
TYhis book was a little different.. A life on the road. They called themselves the Van Lifers. Could it be practical once children’s appeared?
I enjoyed this book. The vendors operated right from their vans. Lovely characters.and a fun-loving group. This book left you feeling very warm & happy. I recommend this book.
Thanks to Net Galley for sending me an advanced reader’s copy for my review.
