I loved this book! Jackson had flown all over the world as a conflict photographer, capturing horrific sites. He survived many dangerous situations, but lung cancer took his life. He had three daughters by different women. He decided not to tell his daughters of his impending death leaving that to his lawyer. Tess is a successful author of young adult novels, having also been a child actress. Charlotte is a true Southern Belle. giving up her design business to further her husband’s political career. Natalie is a renowned photographer like her dad but lovingly captures the people and their everyday lives. The sisters have never met and have been summoned to Jackson’s fabulous winery in Oregon for the reading of the will. Their grandmother is an amazing woman and cannot wait to meet them. I loved the people and the grounds of the town and winery. The stories shared as they learn about each other are heartwarming. The importance of family rings true.
I loved the book! I really enjoyed reading about Tess, Charlotte and Natalie's relationship!
What really held my attention most was the setting this book took place! WWII France
So freaking interesting! I'm slowly but surely reading more historical fiction book!
Looking for strong ladies going though life in WWll! A story about family and love! Read this beauty then!
When photographer Jackson Swann dies, he leaves behind three daughters, each born to a different mother, who discover that they’re now responsible for the family’s Oregon vineyard.
As the sisters reluctantly gather at the Maison de Madeleine to deal with their father's final wishes, they become enchanted by the legacy they've inherited, and by their grandmother’s rich stories of life in WWII France and the wounded American soldier who would ultimately influence all their lives.
I loved this book!
