In LAST SEEN ALONE, detectives Brandon and Antonio were working a murder. They were trying to solve several cases, and they circled came to be connected. But when Brandon met the lawyer Leigh Larson who there missing person hired it became very interesting. When little clue turns the investigation around. Is it good or bad? I won’t say anything more.
Last Seen Alone by Laura Griffin has it all. A missing person/ probable homicide mystery, and a slow burn romance. It was my favorite read all summer!
Austin homicide detectives, Brandon Reynolds and Antonio Pena are called to the scene of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle's owner Vanessa Adams has left her purse, wallet, and cell phone behind. She is not found although a smear of blood on the car door and a pool of blood is found in the roadside wooded area. In examining the car, Brandon finds a business card for Leigh Larson, Attorney-at-Law. Testing proves the blood belongs to Vanessa Adams but no body is found. Even though technically there is no homicide, Brandon and Antonio continue to work this case. Brandon tracks down Leigh Larson, an attorney who represents women stalked and harassed online by exes. She had met Vanessa once but only becomes her attorney when she received a retainer check by mail the day after Vanessa disappeared. Brandon and Leigh work individually to learn Vanessa's fate but sparingly share details with the other. Regardless of the trust issues between Brandon and Leigh, a romance develops. Brandon only feels more protective of Leigh after she is assaulted by someone with probable connections to Vanessa. He tries to persuade Leigh to stop her investigation but Leigh won't stop until she finds Vanessa or what happened to Vanessa. This was a very good story and I admired Leigh's devotion to her clients. Even though they couldn't work together to solve the Vanessa case, Brandon and Leigh were a credible and likeable couple making me believe they found happiness.
I enjoyed this book from Laura Griffin, she knows how to write an explosive romantic suspense book. We’ll done Laura.👏👏
Last Seen Alone by Laura Griffin has it all. A missing person/ probable homicide mystery, and a slow burn romance. The two main characters Leigh and Brandon are both set in their ways, but can’t seem to stay away from each other while they try to find out what happened to Leigh’s client who has disappeared without a trace. I found the ending to be a little rushed, but all in all I found it kept me hooked from beginning to end.
A highly suspenseful read with a gripping edge. It's a plotline that could be taken straight from today’s headlines. With the day-to-day use of cell phones, anyone could be vulnerable to an ex's revenge via the Internet. Last Seen Alone gives you a jarring example of the victims and the people that perpetrate these crimes. Leigh and Brandon make a riveting and strong couple dynamic. They have a purpose and drive that moves and flows creating an unputdownable storyline. Laura Griffin is one of my favorite storytellers and her latest work is phenomenal.

Laura Griffin is one of my "go-to" authors when I am looking for a good, well-written, Romantic Suspense novel. Her characters are always fleshed out and well-rounded and the chemistry between the characters is always well developed without being over the top. The story plot is always new and exciting and full of twists and Last Seen Alone is no exception!
In Last Seen Alone, the story revolves around a young woman's disappearance that has Auston PD homacide detective Brandon Reynolds investigating a possible murder but without a body, he is fighting an uphill battle.
Defense attorney Leigh Larson is the one person that might have some answers but because of her relationship with the young woman gets mired in the investigation to the point of making herself a target.
This story is intense with the real-world issues faced today by many women of stalking and revenge when relationships fail.
I truly enjoyed this book and the characters and can't wait for more of Laura's stories!
Brandon and his partner Antonio got called out to a scene with a deserted car which had all their personal belongings left inside. A girl had gone missing and the two detectives could not make it a homicide unless they had proof so they were focusing on tracking down a missing person.
The attorney Leigh, began working with Brandon on the case and in some ways was able to discover more information that he was. The problem was is she kept keeping secrets from him that could cost him more time. It wasn't until something happened to Leigh that she began opening up more, but the more time they spent together the closer the two became.
Last Seen Alone is a good book. It does not have the same level of suspense/nail biting that Far Gone had, but still worth the read. This is more of a cop finding the bad guy and protecting people at the same time. It was also good to read about lawyers out there doing good, helping people, and finding those that have been victimized by crazy ex's, stalkers, and revenge porn. I think this is a well written book, with good characters, and a good story line. It's always nice to see when the good guy wins in the end over the bad.

What a book! A+
I absolutely love Laura Griffin's writing and this book did not disappoint. It was suspenseful, emotional and so damn good. If you haven't picked up a Laura Griffin novel yet, I strongly encourage you to do so.
3 Stars!
This is my second book by Griffin, with Hidden being my first. Last Seen Alone held my interest during my elliptical and bike workouts but I never felt connected to Brandon or Leigh. I had the same issue with Jacob and Bailey in Hidden. Perhaps it’s a me issue. Last Seen Alone is readable but I never felt invested. I never felt a connection between Brandon and Leigh because their personalities never shone through for me. Alas, I wasn’t a fan of the romance in the book, but I did find the suspense fairly interesting and Leigh protecting her client and her job as an attorney are really what kept me invested in the story.
For the future, I think Laura Griffin will be an author I reach for when I want suspense and not so much for a romance.
Good book! This storyline was good it had a decent flow, it wasn't very um thrilling? It was more like a good police versus bad guy type of story so not much suspense and not to thrilling but it was still a good cop story! Its definitely worth reading just not a nail biter! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
