The Ayurveda Solution is an interesting read. It has solid concept’s for taking control of sheath condition sweeping the nation. Type 2 diabetes is fast growing into one of America’s top contenders for health decline and yet a few simple changes can slow or even reverse this illness. And as I write this is it so simple on paper it would seem so but as many know who struggle with many different aspects of life. Eating healthy almost always tops the list.
It is that everyday choice we must make each day to strive to be a bit bet better and healthier than yesterday. This book has detailed information including a 12 week plan, recipes and exercise regimes. including tables to track progress and motivate you to stay on track. I found the book to be well researched and listed out . I truly wish it had pictures but It’s quite a solid read regarding management of type 2 diabetes.
Interesting foray into the well being of Diabetes Type 2 sufferers via the filter of Ayurvedic thoughts and food principles. As with all things there are some ideas I lean towards. I have flirted with Ayurvedic practices in the past (including eight principles and cooking sessions), liked what I saw, struggled to find my correct dosha, and have incorporated some minor aspects into my life. I suspect the book will go the same way. If you’re seeking new ways forward this title is packed full with plans, recipes, exercises and information offering a different insight for those fighting this disease.

Very interesting concept regarding prevention and controlling the growing problem of Type 2 diabetes. Detailed information along with 12 week plans, recipes and exercise regimes. including tables to fill in to keep you on track. I found the book insightful and would use some ideas incorporated with other healthy options. It’s quite a solid read which I would have enjoyed more with some photos and real life success stories to enhance it.

How fabulous is it to be given the opportunity to reverse such a horrible disease. This book is full of good common sense and great ideas. Recommended.

our modern lifestyle has had an impact on health and if you would like to understand more about how Type 2 diabetes develops then this is the book for you. Identify the early symptoms and by understanding the body's reaction you could reverse the impacts. If you already have type 2 diabetes there is a clear plan to follow for 3 months to bring your body back into balance and feel the energies of the 3 forces at work. Written so well, by an expert in their field who care so much and want to share their knowledge. I learnt a great deal from this book and although not diabetic I have a greater understanding how to control my diet and lifestyle to ensure my body does not develop any sypmtoms. Easy to red and to find sections relevant to yourself and to refer back to. Thank you #NetGalley for the copy to review.
An excellent Ayurvedic guide to managing and reversing type 2 diabetes. It helps you determine your Ayurvedic type and then develop a plan for food, exercise, etc. based on that. Starting with detox and then using meals according to your dosha to retrain your way of eating. The book is filled with excellent knowledge about each dosha.
There is very valuable exercise information in the book. It explains when to test blood sugar, what time of day to exercise, and the type of exercise instrumental in lowering blood sugar.

This was my first introduction into the Ayurveda method to reverse type 2 diabetes. The method really will not work for me. It advises to avoid foods that have always been considered diabetic friendly. After researching Type 2 diabetes myself, some of the info does not coincide with my research. I am not saying it is not valuable, just that it will not work for me, food wise. Those who follow Ayurvedic lifestyle may find this helpful. There is very valuable exercise information in the book. It explains when to test blood sugar, what time of day to exercise and the type of exercise instrumental in lowering blood sugar.

If you are into Ayurveda and want to help yourself or a loved one manage or reverse type 2 diabetes, this will be an excellent guide. It helps you determine your Ayurvedic type and then develop a plan for food, exercise, etc. based on that. I never fit into any of their types and I am not a fan of limiting foods based on stuff like this (some types are told to avoid certain foods that would otherwise be considered very diabetic-friendly because of things like balancing their pitta energy), but that's just me and my beliefs. Those who do follow the Ayurvedic types are likely to find this a very helpful plan.
