This is a heartwarming and fun series and this is the second book featuring that cute lovable Snowball the cat. Snowball helps orchestrate a Christmas match up between Sophie Heidt- the B&B’s new manager and the contractor, Daniel . It's not all easy going as there are some funny moments involving the mischievous cat along the way. Like many cats she doesn't like birds but to get this couple together she just may put up with a few feathered friends now if only Daniel wouldn't bumble things along the way. Fun read.

Such a cute story!!

Description
Just in time for the holidays, author Kristen McKanagh gifts readers with the latest heartwarming novel featuring lovable, irresistible, mischievous feline ball of fluff, Snowball. By now, the kitten we met in Snowball’s Christmas is all grown up, greeting guests at her Victorian B&B forever home near the mountains--and sharpening her matchmaking skills…

Snowball takes her job as the “official kitty” at the Victorian B&B Inn, Weber Haus, very seriously. Greeting guests and keeping tabs on them is a full-time feline job, after all. However, being nice to Daniel Aarons is not on her to-do list. The handsome construction manager almost messed up her forever family, and she isn’t about to forgive him anytime soon…

But then someone new arrives at Weber Haus. Her name is Sophie Heidt—and she’s the B&B’s new manager. When Snowball goes missing on Sophie’s first day, Daniel, in charge of the new hotel wing, comes to her rescue by getting the cat to do what she does best: attack him.

It doesn’t take long for Snowball’s animal instincts to reveal that Daniel and Sophie are meant to be together. Unfortunately, Daniel keeps making a mess of things. It’s going to take some special insight and holiday cheer to bring them together. But if anyone can do it, Snowball can—even if she has to tolerate turtle doves, French hens, calling birds, and other fur-raising human traditions…

This was a super cute story.

I was slightly wary of how the author will pull off writing in a cat’s pov, but I needn’t have worried at all. Snowball is such a mischievous ball of delight, and it was terribly funny and wholesome reading her inner musings and attempts to bring Sophie and Daniel together.

Those of you who love reading Christmas based books will adore this one.

In Kristen McKavanagh’s The Twelve Days of Snowball, the 2nd installment in the Snowball contemporary romance series, this Christmas-themed contemporary romance is tender-hearted and sweet with some funny moments. Sophie Heidt is the newest hotel manager of the Weber Haus hotel for the Christmas season. She had heart broken by her boyfriend who stole her dreams away from landing a role at her top-choice hotel. During the Christmas season, she’s in charge of the hotel in Braunfels and runs into Snowball, an adorable white kitten who’s the official kitty of the Victorian B&B Inn. And then she runs into Daniel Aarons, the construction foreman, who she had butted heads with on a daily basis. While she had gotten into the Christmas spirit, she dealt with entertaining guests, have preparations made for the Christmas Market, and deal with hilarious moments when it comes to Snowball and her match-making ways. As for Daniel, his best friend recuperated at the hospital and needed to pick up the pieces to finish what he started on the job to help Sophie get ready. Though she infuriated him at first, he learned to get on her good side and deal with whatever she needed to help the hotel. But they were two people who stood in his way, his competitor named Jannik Boch, and Giselle, a former childhood flame who had her eyes set on him. While he made Christmas magic with Sophie, they had a few laughs together and realized how good they were for each other. But when Sophie received an interview for her dream job at the hotel, would she follow her heart or make dreams when she felt at home with her new friends to celebrate the holiday spirit?

This was a delightful Christmas-themed contemporary romance. Snowball was a hoot in all of her kitten-like ways to bring Daniel and Sophie together. I cared about Sophie on how she dealt with all the innings and outings of running a hotel during the holiday season and beyond it. I loved how she friended Clara and handled Snowball in more ways than one. I adored Daniel and was glad that he came to the senses and be on Sophie’s side all the time. I loved how the “Twelve Days of Christmas” theme was interwoven throughout the storyline for the theme. The location of Braunfels was enchanting and unique from the B&B and to the Christmas Market with vivid imaginary scenic settings for the location. The theme of the story is that you can make your dreams come true anywhere if you believe in yourself.

I loved how it dealt with finding love during the holidays. This was heartfelt and moved me to tears. I rate this book, five out of five stars, because it was a powerful read and well-written. This is recommended to everyone who loves to read Christmas-themed contemporary romances and loves Hallmark movies. If you love heart-warming holiday romances that has non-stop action, plenty of romantic drama, hints of humor, and a spark of mystery, check out the Twelve Days of Snowballs today.

The Twelve Days of Snowball by Kristen McKanagh is the second book in the contemporary romance Snowball series. Each of the books in this series take place in the days leading up to Christmas and feature different main characters so they can be read as a standalone. The characters from the first book do make a slight appearance in the second though for those having read both.

The somewhat unique thing with the Snowball contemporary romance series is that not only do you get the point of view of the two main characters but also that of the tiny fluffball herself, Snowball the kitten. Snowball belongs to Miss Tilly who runs the B&B in which the stories are set and Snowball is quite the matchmaker around the B&B. This time around Sophie Heidt has been hired to be the new manager of the B&B and she and Daniel Aarons are left to run the B&B together when a family emergency calls Miss Tilly away.

So I mentioned in my review of the first book how thankful I was that since I was suckered into picking it up with the adorable kitten on the cover that I was so happy the story was a good one that I enjoyed and I feel the same the second time around. The characters were nice yet again but it’s so cute to have snowball included and follow her antics and her thoughts. It’s certainly still a sweet series that matches the adorable covers and I loved how this one incorporated the twelve days to match the title too!

I was so prepared to fall absolutely in love with this holiday romance. Small town scene, likeable leads, an absolutely darling matchmaking cat, and a series of cute romantic scenes structured around the 12 Days of Christmas -- it has a lot of elements I love! The opening scene even featured a starring role for Snowball the cat, and a daring rescue attempt by the hero, Daniel, which goes hilariously wrong in front of the heroine, Sophie. From that first scene, I was hooked, and ready to lose myself in this romance.

Unfortunately, the story somewhat fizzled for me afterwards, and didn't quite manage to hook me until about the halfway point. I can't quite pinpoint why, and am open to the possibility that it's simply a case of wrong timing for me, but it took me over a month to finish this, which for an animal-themed holiday romance is surprising.

I do like the leads, and I do buy the conflict between them -- Sophie's the new manager of the Weber Haus Inn, and Daniel owns the construction company doing renovations before Christmas. Both are take-charge Type A personalities who care deeply about their jobs but suck at collaborating. So when they have to work together -- or at least around each other -- to get the inn ready for the Christmas Market, they naturally butt heads.

I also like that Sophie's backstory totally explains why she's so prickly: her ex-boyfriend / former co-worker used her ideas to take her dream promotion for himself, so she naturally bristles when Daniel inadvertently circumvents her authority as manager. Daniel's background is a little less clear-cut -- he's guilty over being unable to save his brother from dying when they were kids, so he now wants to solve all the problems he can. Perhaps I missed why he feels so responsible for his brother's death? Either way, it's a sad backstory, but the connection to his behaviour wasn't quite as clear. I do also like the communication between the leads. They tell each other clearly what their professional boundaries are, and when the other has stepped over the line. And I love how the first scene with rescuing Snowball after the cat gets stuck chasing a partridge up a pear tree turns into an inside joke between Sophie and Daniel. Their banter about completing the 12 days of Christmas could have easily tipped over into too-cutesy territory, but the author makes it work. The scene with the five gold rings was super sweet, and by the time we got to five gold rings, I was eager to find out how the rest of the days were going to play out.

And of course, Snowball is an absolute darling from beginning to end. I absolutely love how she starts out loving Sophie and hating Daniel, and then reluctantly decides to play matchmaker to make them both happy. I also love how she struts around the inn like she owns the place, and how she apologizes with the cutest meows when one of her matchmaking schemes goes horribly awry.

Still, overall, I didn't fall as much in love with this as I thought I would. There's a minor plot thread about a business rival of Daniel's that never really went anywhere -- perhaps that rival turns out to be a major villain who'll re-appear throughout the series before getting his just desserts? And there's a minor plot thread involving a snobby mean girl who's totally flirting it up with Daniel, which mostly just annoyed me. To be fair, I'm not a huge fan of stereotypical mean girl rivals in general -- I prefer when the romantic rivals are also decent people, just not the right fit for the hero -- and particularly when 'mean girl' is their only defining characteristic. Unlike even Sophie's mean ex, Gisele barely even gets a backstory or motivation beyond just wanting to date Daniel.

Overall, this book was okay. I do think it'll make a great Hallmark/Netflix holiday romance -- the medium will move things along more quickly, the cute Christmassy encounters around the 12 Days of Christmas will play beautifully on screen, and of course, Snowball will be absolutely adorable on film.

Thanks to the author and Netgalley for the early copy of this book in exchange de an honest review.

This story had a cute premise- a kitten named Snowball that lives at a charming inn and helps the employees of the inn find love (or at least one employee).

This was a bit of a boring story to me and it really dragged. I just found it to be okay.

This book is the second in the series, but it works fine as a standalone after skimming the first book. The story is told from both Sophie and Daniel's point-of-views, but we also hear from Snowball. Initially, Snowball was not a fan of Daniel but warms up to him and sees how he'd be a perfect match for Sophie.

I love reading warm-hearted series that invite you back to visit with the same familiar characters year after year, and this sweet, charming romance set in a Hallmark-like Christmas town is off to a promising start.

The song, The Twelve Days of Christmas, is loosely woven into the story, and it's fun to see how each of the gifts appears.

A perfect book for someone who wants to take a break from heavier books or the busy holiday season and put her feet up to escape for a few hours into a book that is as cozy as a fleece blanket

Snowball is an adorable furry kitten with matchmaking skills who lives in her forever home in a B&B Inn with her forever humans. Following her success in the first book (Snowball’s Christmas) in setting up Lukas and Emily for a happy ever after, she again plays cupid in the second book, this time to help Daniel and Sophie fall in love with each other. I’m not a pet parent but reading this makes me itch to have one just so I can feel the fur and purr! This feel good Christmas love story is the perfect cozy read for the coming holidays. Although I enjoyed the first book, The Twelve Days of Snowball is better for me. It had more holiday feel and I loved reading about the highly organized Sophie and the brooding carpenter Daniel. The interfering Snowball is also just so cute!!! By the end of the book, I was singing the 12 days of Christmas song (and a partridge in a pear treeeeeeee!!!!🎶🎼🎵) 😁 If you love small town romance, set in wintry Christmas season, with an extra kitty cupid, then pick this up! Just don’t forget your hotchoco and fleecy blanket and you are all set!💖

The Twelve Days Of Christmas follow up companion to Snowball’s Christmas. This time the adorable feline has her eye set on a new pair: Sophie and Daniel. Previously Snowball had despair for Daniel for interfering in her match making. This time though she sees the possible connection between him and the new bed and breakfast manager and decides maybe it is time to give him a second chance.

Sophie is the new manager at the bed and breakfast having taken over for Tilly and working with Emily and Lukas. She has previous experience working in a large hoe in NYC so the bed and breakfast seems pretty simplistic at first. Well except that there is construction going on, a winter wedding to be had, and a Christmas market to be held. Plus Tilly, Emily, and Lukas have to leave town unexpectedly for a family emergency. This leaves Sophie completely in charge with a handsome contractor who wants to help her.

Sophie and Daniel’s first encounter is a memorable one. It involves Snowball, the birds outside, a tree, and sharp kitty nails. Yes, it is exactly as hilarious as you think. Daniel is feeling the pressure of finishing the construction project which has been delayed due to the weather. Sophie is feeling the pressure of a new job and doesn’t want to let anyone down. She is also still reeling from a betrayal which was both person and professional.

Given the fact that I have read Snowball’s Christmas, it was fun to watch Snowball’s relationship with Daniel change. This kitty is still as curious as she was before, and does get into tons of trouble for her kitty mischief. As a cat owner, her antics were completely believable and I believed that she had the best interest in mind for her humans. Sophie and Daniel’s relationship was definitely a bit of a push pull dynamic with flaws of sweetness and jealousy.

The Twelve Days Of Snowball has a beautiful Christmas background using a touch of the 12 Days Of Christmas. I really like the way the items of the 12 Days were used in the story. It was both creative and funny as well as endearing. Add in the shenanigans of Snowball and I hooked. I don’t think you have to read the first book to understand the second but it will give you more context as why Snowball dislikes Daniel so much. This one also introduces a character who stirs up trouble for Daniel and Sophie. Who knows maybe Snowball can help her find her happily ever after next!

The beginning was a little slow for me, but it finally picked up towards the middle. Cute premise, it would be a good fit for a hallmark movie, and definitely gave me those vibes. Overall cute, quick, holiday read.

Told from the view point of a kitten, this is a sweet holiday/romance book. Simple, fun, good hearted, it will give you all the holiday feels. You don't have to be a cat lover to enjoy this book, but if you're a cat lover, you'll think it's purrfect.

Snowball is a hilarious terror of a cat who dislikes intruders in her B&B and definitely understands human. The book opens from her POV, though it is mostly told in third person about the humans. Sophie is the new manager of the B&B where Snowball lives, and Daniel is the construction manager. When they have to work together to get the B&B ready for Christmas, Snowball decides to do some matchmaking.

I had assumed the title was just a cute nod to the holiday season. But the song is actually worked into the story in the cutest way. I really enjoyed reading about Sophie, Daniel, and Snowball. This is such a sweet holiday romance.

Thank you to Let's Talk Books and Kensington for the book. These opinions are my own.

A new girl in town, a stubborn construction manager, a cat with a vendetta and a partridge in a pear tree - this has all the calling cards of a fun holiday romcom.

Sophia Heidt begins her role of manager at the charming country b&b guest house,Weber Haus, by trying to get the resident cat Snowball out of a pear tree. She enlists the help of a passer-by, Daniel Aarons, who happens to oversee the renovation work on Weber Haus.
Sparks fly, and not in a good way.
When the owners leave for a family emergency, Sophie and Daniel are left to manage the inn, the construction, new events and a cat who tries to ssabotage everything.

This was a fun, light read, with the various elements of the Twelve Days interspersed throughout the story.
It was a continuation of a previous story, that I had not read, but works quite well as a standalone story.

I read the first book Snowball's Christmas and it was cute - but I don't think I would have picked up this one on its own. However, I was surprised by how much more I liked The Twelve days of Snowball compared to the first novel in the story. This one has better characters, a better plotline and less annoying Snowball anctics. It was a great holiday book that was light and easy to read.

A romantic Christmas inn, two stubborn yet misunderstood enemies, one precocious yet fluffily adorable kitten, and a partridge in a pear treeee!!

They say not to judge a book by its cover, but all it takes is one glimpse into those adorably solemn blue eyes surrounded by fluffy white fur, and I'm officially a goner. To be quite frank, if you can manage to read this book from start to finish without cracking one smile, you might just be a legitimate Grinch. This sweet, cute read will definitely put you in the holiday mood, and is the perfect read when you need a quick break from family mayhem throughout the season. There are remnants from the first book which are a delight to see again, including a portion of each chapter told from the point of view of the official troublemaking matchmaker of Weber Haus, Snowball the kitten. We get just a taste of her POV so that it remains fun and silly without venturing into eye-roll territory. Honestly, it was kind of my favorite part of each chapter when we got to see things through the eyes of such an innocent little heathen.

The other calling card of this series includes a picturesque wintery inn that we can clearly envisage in our mind's eye, filled to bursting with the most lovable characters that are sweeter than a cup of hot chocolate. While the characters from book one remain absent for the vast majority of this read, and it was certainly easy to miss them, this absence does allow for our new primary characters of Sophie and Daniel to be featured front and center in their own right. Albeit with a familiar fluffy face to pop in every now and again to wreak havoc, yet also help these two strong personalities put their differences aside to find love during the holidays.

Sophie and Daniel start things off by butting heads and essentially hating each other. Daniel is the head of a construction crew working on-site to add a new wing to this lovely small town inn, whose delays in finishing threaten to derail the bookings that Sophie is trying so hard to secure. As for Sophie, she's our strong-willed manager who likes to keep to a schedule, and her constant questioning of Daniel's timeline is enough to drive him mad. So we have two stubborn personalities who seemingly can't stand to be around each other, and insist on doing everything themselves with no help from anyone. When the inn's owners are called away to deal with a family emergency, basically leaving Sophie and Daniel to handle everything on their own, it creates the perfect environment where they can't help but be thrown together at every turn.

I've got just one word for when you're dealing with two people who can't stand each other being forced to interact in fairly close quarters: excellent! This is the perfect example of enemies-to-lovers when it comes to Sophie and Daniel, yet we also see instances of enemies-to-friends when it comes to some of the other characters involved. Witnessing all of these distinct personalities open up and start to understand each other was pure holiday magic. From Snowball the kitten finally warming up to Daniel following her obvious disdain for him due to the events in book one, to a curmudgeonly old loner guest of the inn who opens up to share a few words of wisdom with Daniel when Sophie's past comes back to threaten their relationship. There's enough holiday cheer to make even the smallest of Grinch hearts grow ten sizes in delight!

There's not much else to say about this light-hearted read other than it's as sweet as a sugar plum, doesn't have too much drama, it's quick and will leave a smile on your face! I actually found myself more intrigued by the fun and silly moments than the few dramatic ones. Upon first starting this book I didn't even fully register the title of The Twelve Days of Snowball, but when we start to see all of the elements from The Twelve Days of Christmas song start to make an appearance as Sophie and Daniel's relationship evolves, I was positively tickled pink! It was such a festive feature of the read, as you were constantly wondering how five gold rings or a plethora of milking maids would show up. This is definitely a fun read for when you're looking to relax and be entertained throughout the holiday season.

THE TWELVE DAYS OF SNOWBALL is a delightful, holiday read. Little Snowball is so adorable she makes you want a little Snowball of your own. Whether you are a true cat person or not won't matter; this little furball will steal your heart.
