After blowing through the excerpt, I can't wait to get my hands on the full novel when it's released! Felicity is for sure up to something, and I absolutely love Stella and Taylor so far. This is a very promising start.

I have ordered a copy of this book after reading this excerpt! The introductory paragraphs took me to a happy place of imagining reading a book poolside with cocktails and all things light and Hollywood twinkly. I loved the details in the introduction, the strong setting of the stage, and the clear writings style presented. I can tell this will be a fun, engaging, and fast paced summer read, just what I look for right now and what I look to share on my social media accounts and with friends and family. Looking forward to reviewing the whole book soon! Thank you NetGalley for early access to these preview chapters and Grand Central Publishing as well

Highly-entertaining and thrilling! This excerpt left me wanting more. An intriguing premise as I followed Stella-- the once “it” actress who crashed and burned looking to make her come back!

This was an excerpt of the book, and it definitely did its job! I am so intrigued by this story, and though I’ve never read anything by Katherine St. John, I immediately found myself interested in the characters and plot. I am very excited to get my hands on a copy of this book to see how the story plays out!

I loved this excerpt! I can’t wait to read the entire book when it comes out. I loved Katherine St. John’s first book, The Lion’s Den, and this one looks just as good if not better.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

I was so excited to receive this book. I loved her past work and this did not disappoint! The characters were so well established, and the book didn't feel like anything else I've ever read. Loved it!

The Lion's Den by Katherine St. John was one of my favorite books last year, so I was looking forward to reading her new book. The Siren has all the good ingredients of a sizzling summer read - Hollywood drama, beautiful tropical location, interesting complex characters, a loathsome villain, a little bit of mystery, a touch of romance, with on-point social commentary about #timesup and #metoo movement in Hollywood. The book started a little slow, but once I got into the story I couldn't put it down, I found it very engrossing. Like The Lion's Den, The Siren is going to be another hit, in my opinion. Katherine St.John is a talented storyteller and I cannot wait to see what other juicy tales she will come up with in the future!

I absolutely loved Katherine St. John’s debut, The Lion’s Den, so I was so excited for The Siren and so far, it is living up to the hype! I’m not typically a huge fan of thrillers but there’s something about the beachy, luxe atmosphere St. John creates that’s so entertaining. I’ve already gotten this book from my local library and I can’t wait to finish it!

Having been enthralled with Katherine St. John’s gorgeously illustrated cover of her previous book, The Lion’s Den, and its first few chapters (it’s on my TBR for June), I jumped at the chance to read the ARC excerpt of her latest novel. And what an intro. The story of an aging but devilishly handsome mega movie star on film set with his glamorous but troubled ex-wife, mysterious female producer, and two young ingenues with secrets of their own, drew me in quickly after just the first 50 pages. The story is told from alternating perspectives of the women, with flashbacks heavily used. Even in just a few chapters, we read of sordid pasts, traumatic childhood experiences, generating a foreboding about the aforementioned charismatic movie star (I couldn’t stop picturing George Clooney, although he doesn’t give off warning vibes in real life). The excerpt did its job; I’m now keen to get my hands on a just published copy.

Thank you to #NetGalley, Grand Central Publishing, and #KatherineSt.John for the chance to read the ARC excerpt in exchange for an honest review. Wishing the author good luck and great success with the book this publishing month!

The Siren (Excerpt)...
Interesting excerpt for what may be an overall good read and the premise promises much. From this reading a light mystery but with some heavy, and potentially distressing, themes. Well drawn and credible characters.

A movie set, famous stars, jealousy and many secrets. And all of this wrapped in a scenic tropical setting. What else would anyone need to take for their vacation? Sunscreen and mimosas perhaps. I only read the excerpt of this book and cannot wait to read the whole thing.
Thank you Netgalley and Grand Central Publishing for giving me the opportunity to partially read this.

I was pleasantly surprised by enjoying the excerpt so much. The story started off a tad slow- but I could see that the author was giving me background insight into all the point of view characters. I love multiple POV stories-as I like seeing different takes on a situation. The women all seem to have vastly different personalities and come from very different backgrounds. How they interact and the stories intertwine has me wanting to read more of this book. By the end of this excerpt, I was ready to purchase the book and keep reading! I have seen great reviews on the full book from friends on Instagram so adding the full book to my summer reads list!

Thank you to NetGalley and Galley books for allowing me to read and review this advance excerpt.

One word for this book ~Stunner! This was unputdownable book full of scandalous drama filled with secrets, jealousy and desire to be seen! I really enjoyed Katherine’s storytelling in creating intricate web of three women having a common enemy!

Thank you @grandcentralpub for sending me the advance copy in exchange of my honest review!

The story is told from 3 POV, Stella- one time big actress, now a middle age woman who is a victim of drugs and alcohol, Felicity- Stella’s secretive and mysterious young assistant and Taylor- Producer of the movie The Siren, who has been thrown out of her previous job due to involvement in some scandalous affair! All three of these beautiful ladies have some past relationship and grudges to the A lister dashing movie star Cole Power. They are all brought together on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Genesius for 6 weeks to shoot The Siren movie!

Read the book to see how the story unfolds and unearths past buried secrets of lie, deception and murder. The book picks up rapid pace towards the end!

This is a perfect summer beach read that lets you dive into your guilty pleasures! It hit the shelves today, May 4th, get your copy now!!
