This book dealt with a lot of heavy issues, but it handled them well. The topics were balanced by great characters. It was an enjoyable read.
The best book I read in 2021, absolutely no competition. Simply incredible - I'll read anything Tia writes forever and always.
5 stars all around - an amazing read. Fun and romantic but with depth. I loved reading about these characters, and I really loved the format and structure of it along 7 days in past and present.
I have this book on my shelf but I wanted to get a feel for it before I decided to read it. And this excerpt makes me really excited for Shane and Eva’s love story!
Great excerpt, so excited to read this one! I have this one on my shelf and I can’t wait to dive in and continue.
The excerpt for the novel, Seven Days in June was riveting. It drew my attention in as a reader enough to finish the novel on it's own.
Although just an excerpt, this was enough to get me to purchase the book.
I look forward to reading the entire novel.
I am sorry for the inconvenience but I don’t have the time to read this anymore and have lost interest in the concept. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.
That prologue 😭😭😭. This was so good I love when the start of a book like feels good and fresh! and thankfully I have my copy of this at my sisters house, going to inhale this the minute I get to hers!
I believe I already reviewed this title but want to move this excerpt off of my dashboard. Loved this book and have recommended it often. Thank you to netgalley for the advance ecopy.
And we are starting this round off with a bang - Seven Days in June tells of a week after Eva and Shane (both wildly successful writers in their genres) bump into each other at a literary event. Sparks fly instantly and it is clear to everyone around them, including Eva’s daughter, that they are more than just budding acquaintances. What no one knows is that Eva and Shane spent a week together 15 years earlier as teens, on a drug fueled binge but madly and passionately in love. Will their past connection and the fire between them draw them back together, or will the pain of that week ruin what they could have together now?
I am so mad at myself for sleeping on this book! Thank you to whoever in my book club nominated this for our August pick because this is easily one of my favorite reads this year.
This book has everything! From the beginning it had me laughing out loud (that opening scene is a DOOZY), but it was also filled with so much heart. It has one of the best descriptions of chronic pain I’ve ever encountered, but I loved that it wasn’t the main focus because people are more than their disability. There were definitely some steamy romance elements, but the relationship between Shane and Eva always felt super realistic. I also loved how both of them were damaged - a good chunk of this book deals with overcoming your past to embrace your future, and it is beautifully done - but still were oh so vulnerable. I’m not exaggerating when I say I cried through a good 50% of this book for many reasons, and while it broke my heart, I would read it again and again. Sometimes you just find a book at the exact right time in your life and this felt like one of those for me.
Thank you to @grandcentralpub and @netgalley for the ARC, and to @tiawilliamswrites for writing this wonderful book.
Loved this book! Steamy, sexy, funny and smart. I also loved the mother/daughter relationship. This is a great book to read and discuss in a buddy read or bookclub.
Stunning writing, intriguing story. I can’t wait to read the entire book! Thanks for the excerpt - now I just want to read the rest ASAP!
This was just an excerpt, but I can tell that this is gonna be a witty heartwarming love story and one of the best reads of 2021. its about losing love and getting back together and second chances at love.
Great excert made me super interested and invested to read the book. A powerful story of connection and found family and resilience
This was just an excerpt and I received a hardcopy from a friend! Excellent. See my review on Goidreads.
I didn't realize I was only requesting an excerpt initially, but I did end up reading the full story after finishing the excerpt. I had high hopes for this after seeing so many good reviews, and I thought it was good, but not great. This is not my style of a romance and seemed too serious. I never felt the connection between Eva and Shane either.
This excerpt was not enough content and it was very slow for me to determine.I can go to AMAZON for excerpt I needed more than what was given.
I can tell this is going to be a beautiful heartbreaking story. I can’t wait to read the rest of this book.
This was a great excerpt! still waiting on the full title to come in at the library. I have high hopes!
