This excerpt made me thoroughly excited to read the full book. I don't feel like I have a full picture to give an adequate review. But I am excited to see what else this enticing book full of romance and plot, has to offer.
This beautifully written love story is a great way to get your romance fix. Rising star Tia Williams blends
humor, heat and angst in a deeply satisfying second chance romance about two writers who had
difficult childhoods during which their brief and intense young love affair was the brightest
spot. Even though they’ve came out the other end successful and (relatively) healthy, their
relationship and trust were casualties. Many years later, they meet again on stage at a literary
panel and the sparks are still there. Deep down, for each other, they’re the ones who got away,
as evidenced by the fact that they’ve both been writing about and to each other in their books.
Loved it.
A passionate, powerful, tender, love story about the power of relationships, the healing nature of writing as expression, and the ways our families, communities and past experiences shape the people we become. This novel was beautifully written with complex and authentic characters and a well thought out plot. Simply stunning, it blew me away. Thank you so much to Grand Central Publishing and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy.
This excerpt got me really excited to read this book- snarky and witty and funny, and I can't wait to read the rest.
This excerpt was one of the most exciting openings to a book that I've read in a long time, and I can't wait to read the rest. I don't think I totally understand what's going on, but nonetheless I'm anticipating more.
Seven Days in June is such a unique book. Love this excerpt....This highly addictive read had me glued to its pages, and unable to put it down.
This is such a tantalizing excerpt and really makes me want to read the whole book (so thank goodness I have it!). I love the writing and it promises a smart and well-crafted romance.
Thank you to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for the sneak peek!
Let me start by this cover! Isn’t it ravishing and totally sucks you into the depth of yearning for the main characters!
Thank you Grand Central Publishing and NetGalley for gifting me a copy of this beautiful book and the excerpt!
Eva and Shane are childhood sweet hearts from high school. They both find sense of security, comfort and home in each other’s company in the seven days they spend together. They both go different routes and are separated for 15 years only to come face to face again during an event.
I was sucked into the book starting from the mesmerizing cover and captivating storyline. I could not put down reading this book and finished it in 2 days as the love, the pull and the chemistry they shared was out of this world.
I highly recommend this June’s pick by Reese Bookclub to everyone who loves to read about second chances, lost love and immensely emotional story.
This was a short one, but so excited to share this with our customers - seems to be a great cross-over fiction/romance opportunity here!
Smart and sexy, a love story that will make you laugh out loud and reminisce lost loves. Mature and complicated.
Reading the excerpt that I was approved for, this appears to be a very promising read. It drew me in from the first paragraph. I will be picking up a copy of my own to read the rest!
RATING: 4.5 STARS

OMG, this was a great excerpt!!! It really drew me in. I wasn't planning to read this one anytime soon. It was on my list because I am doing the RBC reading challenge. Then. This. Excerpt. Happened. So good. I actually downloaded and requested a copy from the publisher. I am so happy to have my own copy.
***I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the publisher through NetGalley, and hardcover from the Publisher. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.***
I loved the opening to Seven Days in June! We haven't even met the love interest yet, but Eva is such a dynamic main character! I dropped the other book I was reading and read this excerpt in one sitting. I cannot wait to read the rest of the book!
As a lifelong sufferer of migraines, I can empathize with Eva and her pain. Other than that, however, I can't really identify with her. No fault of the book - I'm just not the target audience.
Didn’t realize it wasn’t the whole book when I requested and don’t feel I can accurately review/rate a small portion. Hope to grab from my library!
This excerpt certainly did its job—left me wanting more. I need to know what happens to these characters.
So good but I need moreeee….. hooked and new the full book now.
Almost a tease to just get the excerpt but I certainly understand why Reese picked it as one of her choices. This is a Bookstagram darling and so far I see why
'Seven Days In June' draws the reader in right from the first sentence of the book and every paragraph that follows leaves you piqued by the compelling life of Eva Mercy. Though the story is in third-person, I felt very close to Eva and enjoyed the voice that runs seamlessly throughout. If Tia Williams’ goal was to grab the reader’s attention and hold it with the first few chapters of ’Seven Days in June’, she succeeded. After reading only the excerpt, I’m dying to get to the bookstore and purchase this so I can indulge on the rest of this witty, original, romance.
Thank you Net Galley and Grand Central Publishing for a snippet of ‘Seven Days in June’.
I was so thrilled to read the excerpt of the book that I bought the book through Amazon. Tia Williams makes her characters come alive with the realness of their struggles tied to being black. Eva is a black divorced mother raising a brilliant daughter and still in love with her high school fling. I would say that there are some mental health triggers but overall this was a great book. I also saw that it was one of Reese Witherspoon's book club picks. I recommend everyone to take the time to read this.
I was given an excerpt of this book — very good! Will be purchasing this book to read the whole book!
