Slightly late with the review but its because I would start and stop the book. I could just not relate nor finish the book. I'm not much of a fan for racy romance. I think it would be best if you read the other books in the series that ties these characters more together in the setting. Not my cup of tea anymore. I was provided an advanced reader copy & was under no obligation to provide a review. The opinions are my own. Thank you to author, publisher and NetGalley for the A R C. but I cannot do it justice in a review.

Her Renegade cowboy is a third book in the Moving Violations series and a moving Romantic Suspense.

I Enjoyed this story quite a bit and would rate it Five Stars.

Lily was hiding from something terrible that happened to her in college. She survived, but he haunted her dreams and her actions. And when he escaped prison, he no longer only haunted her, he hunted her. Her strong will and stubbornness kept her from going into witness protection. It did, however, not keep the Marshalls from sending someone to watch over her.

Levi was undercover on a job to keep Lily safe. What he didn't expect was to fall in love with her, or to risk everything to protect her. Staying close to her did not mean in her home and in her bed, but he couldn't resist the draw he felt toward her. But he does have a job to do, and it puts him in a position to where he has to omit a few truths...also known as lying. A fact Lily flips over once she learns the truth.

Her Renegade Cowboy is a steamy hot read filled with suspense. Both Lily and Levi are stubborn, well-written characters, and the story line easily captured my attention.

P.S. The bad guy is INSANE!

Her Renegade Cowboy by Lora Leigh is a great spocty read dull of suspense. You can't help but love a strong cowboy.

I struggled with this book, unfortunately. The dialogue felt jarring rather than sexy to me. But I do give it 5 stars for the sexy cowboy-licious man on the cover!

Hello

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title. While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023 and beyond.

Her Renegade Cowboy is the concluding story in the Moving Violations series. And while I’ve read the earlier stories and was looking forward to the finale… I read Levi and Lily’s story, set it aside, and came back to it for a re-read before finally doing this review. I wish I could have loved it. I know with this author, I’m going to get a hyper-sexy read, and that’s fine and enjoyable. Yet, I also expect and want some suspense within a Romantic Suspense story (even with all the sexiness) and that I did not find here. I don’t even mind a clueless heroine, but the moves she made and the important things that Lily never mentioned took her to a whole other level for me in the clueless department… and as a school teacher, I didn’t expect her to not act with some snippet of common sense.

I wanted to like this book. But I simply didn’t. That is a personal opinion; it doesn’t mean that there isn’t an audience for Her Renegade Cowboy that would love every moment. Unfortunately, that didn’t include me. This is why I’ll always say make up your own mind about any book because a reviewer’s opinion is just that… my opinion.

If you want a romantic suspense book that has mystery as well as heat, this is the book for you. There was a mystery to be solved, but the best part of the book what is the chemistry between the heroin, heroin, heroin heroin. As always, there are secrets that came out that added to the plot and were not done in a way that felt jarring. In fact, everything fluid really well throughout the book and the relationship was the primary focus.

Third verse, same as the first and second. I probably won't be reading this author again. There was literally nothing I liked about this book, or the first two in this series, for that matter.

I really liked this book. To me, Levi was a perfect book boyfriend. Lily was not my favorite heroine though - she was a little hard to like.

This book has action and suspense (although not really until the end). But I did like it enough to read the rest of the series.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

I really enjoyed this story and am sorry I didn’t read it sooner! Lora Leigh has written a poignant story about some difficult subjects including physical, sexual, and mental trauma. Although this story does have some serious possible triggers it also brings a passionate romance and the unadulterated healing aspect of love. This is the first book I have read from this author and I am already eager for the next book. Lily and Levi’s story will keep you captivated from beginning to end, I highly recommend it to those who enjoy a sexy cowboy romance.

An edge of your seat, emotionally thrilling journey from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this action packed and thrilling adventure filled with witty and exciting charters, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Great reading.

I'm starting to think this series isn't for me. As much as I like my romance novels to be steamy, the lack of proper build up of tension and chemistry completely throws me off. Especially considering the heroine's past trauma.

This book has all the elements of a heart-stopping romance. The back stories of the characters, Lily Donovan and Levi Roberts, brings added elements of fear, anxiety, stubborness, and protectiveness that result in an exploding passion that take them by storm. Definitely a must-read for lovers of romance with flying (hot) sparks attached! Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read and review this advance reader copy. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. #HerRenegadeCowboy #NetGalley.

If you're looking for a spicy read, then you definitely should try Her Renegade Cowboy. Lora Leigh is a queen when it comes to sexy romance novels, commanding and badass heroes, and wonderful female characters.

I have read and enjoyed this author in the past but unfortunately, this book fell short for me in a lot of ways. The storyline was, to me, very disjointed. First, Lily suffered a traumatic event that has scarred her mentally and left her distrustful of men but it was not alway clear when/how long ago the event took place. It mostly seemed like it occurred a little over a year ago, but then the timelines didn't always match up when other things that happened would be discussed or when Lily would think about how she was "before." Additionally, while Lily and Levi definitely had chemistry, the development of their relationship didn't feel authentic or believable.

Lily was also tough to like. The traumatic event she suffered was only alluded to in the beginning, and this vagueness made it hard to connect with her or understand where she was coming from.

And I really hate romantic suspense stories where one of the characters is in danger for whatever reason and they don't tell anyone because they don't want to bother anyone or put anyone else in danger and then when they eventually do tell someone and end up with some sort of protection, late run off and ditch that protection because something happens, like a family member is threatened or they're told if they don't do what the person wants, other people will be hurt, and they're all like they can't let someone else be hurt. But they never stop to think that maybe it's a trap and their family member isn't actually in danger or if the family member truly has been kidnapped, do they really think the bad guy is just going to let them go? But no, instead of consulting with the person or persons protecting them, who are usually trained (police, ex-military, etc) they run off and figure they'll be able to handle it on their own..

Case in point, Lily's cousin was ex-CIA and Levi is a US Marshal but at first she stubbornly refuses to tell her cousin what is going on and then when it comes to light, doesn't turn to either them when things take a bad turn but instead takes off on her own and purposely makes it so they can't track her. It was so frustrating and I just wanted to shake her.

I was intrigued enough to finish the book but I didn't walk away feeling particularly satisfied.

I enjoy Lora Leigh's writing style and prose. This was such an edge of your seat story; once you get into the bones of it. The characters are all well developed and relatable.

Over a year ago, Lily was attacked and almost raped/murdered by someone she trusted. She ended up testifying against this person, anonymously, so that she could have some kind of normal life in the small town she grew up in. The "someone" and 2 others recently escaped from prison and the authorities want to put her in protective custody. Lily want's no part of it. She's tired of living in fear; although the nightmares still haunt her on occasion and she still has anxiety attacks.... then there's the new hire, Levi, at her cousin Jacob's ranch that she keeps thinking about; even though she found him a bit stuck-up and obnoxious. still he was mighty nice to look at. Levi finds Lily captivating and tries everything to try to get to know her better.

Will these two find there way to each other before the past comes to Lily's small town and threatens her and her loved ones? Or will her past travel out of North America, and disappear, like the authorities think?

I really did like this story and the characters. Personally, I don't need the full on, descriptive sex scenes in stories; alluding to them and knowing there is chemistry is enough.

Continuing right along with the cowboy badasses this latest installment of Lora Leigh’s Moving Violations series kicks off with a great story of two people that both have trust issues being pulled into a relationship at truly the worst possible time. I must admit that when I began this series I was skeptical that I would enjoy it, and the first story didn’t truly light my fire, but as the series progresses I am enjoying them increasingly more. Lily and Levi’s story is filled with tears, trauma, betrayal, forgiveness, and love and I adored every moment of watching these two circle and finally come together. Lily Donovan has returned to her small hometown bruised but not truly broken after a tragedy, one that she has kept from almost everyone and one that has placed her directly into the sightline of an extremely dangerous man—who is now on the loose and headed straight for her. Levi Roberts is on her cousin’s ranch for one reason, to keep Lily safe from the psycho after her, but if he happens to catch the bastard too all the better. The minute he sees Lily though everything shifts for him and his priorities change. Determined now to not only protect her but to claim her and have her in his bed, Levi embarks on a treacherous mission to convince Lily to trust him with her heart and ultimately her secrets. Once the truth comes out, Lily is faced with the betrayal and Levi will have to work five times as hard to get her back and to protect her. Because danger is right on her doorstep and Lily is done hiding and putting her family and friends at risk, even if it costs her own life and she is determined to bring the bastard that ruined her to justice, one way or another. Levi might be too late to protect the woman that has stolen his heart if he doesn’t earn back her trust in time. This story was by far my favorite of the series so far, even though I knew that it was going to blow up in Levi’s face as soon as he started building a relationship on a foundation of lies. Levi was an fascinating character, one with a true mission but that quickly begins to cross lines once he loses his heart and mind to the love of a woman in a way he never imagined he could. He was a hardcore badass to be sure, alpha, bossy, and extremely intense in all he did, but at the same time he was protective, loving and passionate giving Lily just what she needed to remind herself she wasn’t truly broken or a weak woman. I loved how he fought so hard to redeem himself in Lily’s eyes once his lies were uncovered and then put it all out here, begging for forgiveness and forcing Lily to admit her feelings for him and convincing her to take him back. Lily was definitely my favorite heroine of the series so far; she believed herself to be broken and unable to ever trust a man again but she instinctively knows that Levi is a good man and will never truly harm her, and though he ends up being a little shady, she wasn’t wrong about him. Her attitude and snark was awesome to watch as she butted heads with Levi, but when she finally let him in and showed her sweet, compassionate and loving side, there was no way that Levi couldn’t have fallen for her. Her bravery and willingness to defend her loved ones, even at the risk of her own life, showed that she was never truly broken by the bastard after her and the anger over Levi’s duplicity was just the catalyst she needed to find her backbone again. The FIRE (caps intended) between these two is off the charts from the second they lay eyes on one another, and as with most of these lovers, they burn up the pages a lot, but that’s the fun of a romance. In the end, this story of two people coming together in a common fight against the evil of humanity is one that will leave you with tears, fears, and laughs as well as the ability to understand forgiveness and true connection as Lily and Levi fall in lust then love even though they are hiding secrets. I am looking forward to more in this series and seeing more of these characters again in future novels and hope the series only continues to get better.

This is the third book in a series. Once again, major characters from previous books have disappeared, significant background of major characters has changed, and the whole book barely hangs together. The re-use of familiar names is nothing more than a convenient tactic to cover up the fact that this book has nothing to do with the other two (also unrelated) books in the "series."

The book is set in northern California, but the author can't seem to remember that she's not writing about Georgia or South Carolina.

Save your money.
