This is Lily's story, an her abuse survivor. Unbeknownst to her, the handsome hunk of a cowboy is an undercover US Marshall who is tasked with finding her abuser after he escapes from prison. But his attraction to this sassy and seemingly scared girl is more than he was expecting. I loved all the chemistry between them and when things get hot the are very hot. But the secrets he is keeping from her could end it before it starts. I was invested in them and sitting on the edge of my seat when things get crazy.

A suspense story about Lily Donovan, a grade school teacher who is keeping secrets of her past. Only her sister Shay and her friend know about it. Now the fugitive that tried to kill her has escaped with two others from prison. As the US Marshalls office wants to put her in protective custody, she says no. Levi Roberts, a former Ranger and now working for the US Marshall’s office is there working as a ranch hand for her cousin in order to protect her. Little did either of them know they would develop feelings for each other putting his job in jeopardy. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat as the law tries to figure out the connection of the two cell mate escapees and why. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Maddie Montgomery and Gryff Davies have grown up dealing with their families' centuries long battle of who was better. They are now adults who vividly remember playing together and teasing each other as children. Thing is they are now adults who have all new feelings for each other. Gryff loves it, but Maddie can't see her father ever agreeing to them being even something as simple as friends.
Situations keep throwing them together, but the best laid plans never work out, do they??!!
This was a thoroughly enjoyable romp with two people who have always cared for each other and now love has entered the equation!

REVIEW

Her Renegade Cowboy by Lora Leigh
Moving Violations #3

Levi is considered very good at his job and his job this time is to work undercover and keep Lily Donovan safe from a man who wants to kill her. He is supposed to remain professional and distant, but that idea goes up in smoke soon after they meet when the chemistry between them combusts. This is their story.

What I liked:
* The small town cowboy setting
* Levi: alpha male, takes charge, knows what he wants, military and bedroom skills, capable, intelligent, caring, protective, loves Lily.
* Lily: teacher, trauma survivor, suffers PTSD/Anxiety nightmares, closed off, family oriented, trust issues, loves Levi.
* Jacob & Sallie: from book two…being reminded of their story and seeing them was fun
* Shay: Lily’s sister, says what she thinks, family oriented, strong, independent, not taken with cowboys.
* That most of Jacob’s ranch hands are ex-military
* That Levi and Lily are well matched in more ways than one
* That the bad guy is dealt with successfully
* The small town setting

What I didn’t like:
* The people and events I was meant not to like
* That at time Lily seemed willing to take dangerous/unwise risks

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Paperbacks for the ARC – This is my honest review.

4 Stars

This is the 3rd and final book in the Moving Violations trilogy. Lora Leigh writes wonderful contemporary cowboy romances and this one is no exception. I loved this book and the story of Lily and Levi. This one is full of danger and passion. If you are looking for a fun and exciting romance, then pick this one up!

I have not read Lora Leigh in a few years, and did not even know this was the third book in a series when I chose this story to read and review. It was however very enjoyable. This book had much more of a plot than I expected. Lily has come back to the small town she grew up in, and Levi has starting working for her cousin’s ranch. He is a US Marshall in town to protect Lily although undercover because of events that happened while she was in college. They both know there is a major attraction, but both hold big secrets . There is a lot of heat with their romance as that is something Ms. Leigh writes very well. The suspense mostly took place in the last quarter of the book, but could have used some fleshing out. It happened quite suddenly although you knew it was coming. Overall a good solid read.

Her Renegade Cowboy is the Book 3 in the Moving Violations series by Lora Leigh. This book can be read as a standalone should you wish, although it would be better if you read the previous books for a greater reading experience. Wildly Interesting plot to keep me engaged, a solid and established world-building that Lora Leigh is really good for with wonderful main characters and side characters. I wouldn't solidly categorize this as a cowboy trope as Levi is an undercover agent so there's some law enforcement at play too. Will most definitely check out the next book in this series.

I am really torn about reviewing this book. I hate to be critical, because I know how hard writers work at their craft, and how much of themselves they have invested in each volume. But I accepted an ARC from the publisher and I have to be honest. This is by no means a bad book, it is just that I had some problems with it.

I just didn't like Lily, the main female character. I understand that she had been through a terrible series of traumas, and that they had changed her. She is supposedly a strong, educated woman, but frankly she is very foolish, and even the dreaded Too Stupid To Live. I am trying hard not to give spoilers, but Lily makes poor decisions, over and over again. She doesn't learn from her mistakes, and she puts herself and others in danger.

It is Levi who saves this book. He is a splendid character, and far too good for Lily. They have a lot of explicit sex, so if that is not your jam at least you have been warned. As far as I am concerned it saved the book.

"Her Renegade Cowboy" is worth reading if you like strong, dominant, heroic men, lots of sex, and if you don't have the same problems with Lily as I do, and my feelings about her are just my personal opinion. The writing is fine, and Levi is worth knowing. Leigh is an established author, but this one is, in my opinion, a near-miss

Lily is hiding secrets from her family. She had been the rape victim of her trusted college professor and was responsible for having him put away. Now he's escaped from prison and is determined to get his revenge on her. The Texas Rangers want to put her in protective custody and witness protection but she's not having any of it.
When Lily refuses protection, Levi is dispatched undercover to work on her cousin's ranch and develop a friendship with Lily so he can protect her.
Levi and Lily have a strong chemistry and Levi makes inroads on the relationship front. As it turns out Lily is no longer a job for Levi but he's got to run the gauntlet of his superiors, her cousins, the local sheriff, and the local hotshots. Of course what happens when Lily finds out? Hopefully Levi will have an opportunity to tell his side of the story since his heart tells him this one is for keeps.
An excellent story with all the ingredients that make Ms. Leigh a great author.

Honestly, this book was a bit “eh” for me. There wasn’t a lot of suspense, until the very end of the book. And even that wasn’t as engaging as I’d hoped. The heroine, Lily, frankly, was annoying. She’s definitely not an “oh so proper” school teacher, she’s actually kind of a bitchy pain in the arse. I get it, she went through something horrible. But to keep that from her family…the family she supposedly is so close to? Nope, not buying it. I liked Levi, but didn’t see a lot of chemistry between the two of them. Yes, the had a lot of intimate scenes, but that was the whole of their relationship. They were both so busy keeping secrets that they never seemed to get to know each other being the bedroom. There was too little substance in the characters for me to be invested..

I really have enjoyed this trilogy and I'm sad that it's ending. I want more of this series. Sadly there isn't more but hopefully, someday with will get a story about the neighbors.

Until her next book let's talk about this one. I've been loving this series and couldn't wait for this one. I so liked Lily in the last book and knew she'd make a perfect heroine. And for the most part, she was. At times she could be a little too hard but once you get into the story you understand where it's coming from.

She grew up happy but then it stopped. I'd go into more of why but you need to read it for yourself. As she became harder as a person her attitude changed completely. Happily, she meets and falls for Levi. He seems to bring out the best in her and makes her happy.

I love Levi. He has a job to do but his caring for Lily makes it so that she comes first above all else. He'd do anything to protect her even if that means losing her.

So much goes on within the story and there are so many enjoyable characters that you'll want to know more about. From the first page, the story moves pretty quickly and you feel a little tense throughout most of it for poor Lily. All of this makes for a great story.

Levi is former Ranger, is tasked with undercover op in small boring town.
That is till he meets Lily, and everything changes.
Hopefully he will be able to keep her alive.
Storyline is great, characters are awesome.
Loved it

This has been a really great series. Here Renegade Cowboy is another enjoyable book added to it. I liked both Levi and Lily. She has a lot of trauma in her past, but she hasn't let it change her too much. These characters are really good together!

Although Her Renegade Cowboy is the third book in the 'Moving Violation' series, it can absolutely be read and enjoyed as a standalone.

I enjoyed this newest offering from Lora Leigh. I loved our mysterious ranch hand and his chemistry with the lovely Lily.

Having previously suffered at the hands of a sexual predator, Lily has returned to her home town to recover and protect her anonymity.

Having turned down protection from USMS, Lily is jumping at shadows, especially after she is given news of a recent jailbreak.

Levi Roberts' attraction to Lily is most definitely not one sided and their relationship quickly develops.

Determined to protect the lovely Lily, Levi also has secrets that he is keen to keep as long as possible.

As is usually the case though, he has some explaining to do!

All in all Her Renegade Cowboy is a hot, fast paced, cowboy and small town girl romance. What's not to like?

5 Her Past Could Ruin Her Future Stars!!!

This is my first book by Lora Leigh and I absolutely loved this book!! This book has it all…. a Hero that is sexy, swoony and oh so alpha and a Heroine that is sassy, stubborn and beautiful and they’re absolutely meant to be together. There’s only one problem, Lily has been so damaged from an earth shattering event last year that she doesn’t trust any men but those in her family… until she meets Levi that is. There’s something about this man that draws her to him and while she’s attracted to all his “cowboy ways” she’s not sure she can let her guard down.

Levi is on a mission though, and he’s determined to niggle his way into her life. What he didn’t expect was to fall in love with her, which compromises his assignment. I loved how he paid special attention to Lily and moved at her pace. He could see and feel the draw to this woman and he’s willing to do anything to have her… except tell her the truth. And you know that’s going to come back and bite him in the butt!!

There’s also a bevy of secondary characters that play an integral part in both Levi and Lily’s lives and while some of them may be wary of Levi and what his actions mean for Lily, they end up playing a pivotal role in this story.

I loved the pace of this book. It’s quick but there aren’t any moments that felt rushed. I felt like I was on Lily’s family’s ranch and with her at school. The attention to detail is amazing! And when these two finally saddle up and admit their attraction, holy cowboy are they HOT!! And just when Lily thinks her life might be okay even with the disturbing news she recently received, BAM!! She’s knocked sideways on both sides and the intrigue and suspense had me on the edge of my seat. My heart was beating at a staccato pace it was that intense! I don’t want to say too much, but wowza the ending is powerful in it’s conclusion of one part of Lily’s life and the beginning of a new phase!!

I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a book that will give you romance, suspense, intrigue and an unexpected HEA! And even though this is book three in this series, there was no point that I felt like I was lost and missing something from the previous two books! I of course will be reading those too now that I’ve discovered Ms. Leigh’s writing!

The oh-so-proper school teacher, Lily Donovan has learned, the hard way, that men are not to be trusted. Period. Until Levi Roberts, the new cowboy working at her cousin's ranch, tempts her carefully-built resolve and awakens an all-consuming passion she thought lay dormant. But when she discovers his deadly secret, and her own secrets come to light, Lily unwittingly joins the lethal cat and mouse race between Levi and the man he’s been hunting for weeks. Former Ranger Levi Roberts has seen his fair share of deadly trouble during his years as a tough-as-nails operative. The ultimate expert in undercover investigations, he’s been tasked to find a man with a dangerous agenda in town.
The third book in the series & it’s easily read on its own. I love a romance with suspense & mystery & this book had both but I felt both could have been developed more. We met Lily in the previous book & I thought she was destined to be with someone else! I really liked Lvi but found it hard to like Lily although she did grow on me throughout the book. There was some chemistry between them but it didn’t sizzle, just kind of simmered. That said I did enjoy the book & look forward to more by the author.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

First of all, I love this cover and think it's a perfect representation of the protagonist of the book Levi Roberts- strong, confident and totally swoon-worthy....
I didn't realise that this was the third book in the series. If you are planning to read the previous ones, I think it is better to do it in order, as there are some spoilers for Book 2 Strong, Silent Cowboy. Having said that, it works perfectly fine as a standalone.

Schoolteacher Lily Donovan is hiding a big secret from anyone in her town apart from her sister Shay and her cousin's wife Sallie. While she was a student at college she was almost killed by one of her professors. Lily found strength to testify, but later refused to go into the Witness Protection Program as that would mean giving up everything and everyone she loves. She returned to her home town of Deer Haven, finished her degree online and started teaching, trying to move on with her life. When she gets a call from US Marshals Service Bureau informing her that her tormentor Graham Brisbee escaped from prison, Lily's nightmares return.

Levi Roberts is a new cowboy at her cousin Jacob's ranchand notonly is he gorgeous, it is also clear that he is interested in Lily despite her feisty reputation. Lily knows Jacob would never hire anyone without checking their background thoroughly, so he must be trustworthy despite his overconfident, cocky attitude, but she has been lied and manipulated before, can she really trust him enough to have more than a one-night stand?

To be honest, at the beginning I felt things were developing a bit too fast -lust at first sight?-and I wanted a bit more build-up, more feelings, more romance. Then the judgy part of me felt it was wrong of Levi to 'pursue' Lily given her vulnerability. Don't let her bluntness/directness/'spark' deceive you- yes, she is extremely independent and would like to be seen as someone who can hold her own, can get herself out of any trouble.Yet, she also feels ashamed/embarrassed that she was a victim of crime in the first place and would love dearly to protect her anonymity. And Levi knows much more about her than she does about him.

Levi is definitely a generous lover, although he guards his secrets a bit too well from one person he should have confided in. If you aren't looking for clean and wholesome(wrong place, sorry!), but rather the opposite, you're going to appreciate the physical attraction they are feeling for each other. Still, their secrets are just too big and too important for their identity to hide behind the physical side which gives them an illusion of closeness. Especially, considering the asymmetry of their situation.

The second part of the book proved that Levi's conflict of interests was the main point of the book- he knew that he was putting his job on line, but the desire to protect her was stronger than any common sense, professional experience or even the code of conduct he must have signed at some point in the past. The pace picked up and suddenly I was so engrossed in these action-packed final chapters that I couldn't put the book down for the life of me!

Overall, it was an entertaining story with an interesting ethical dilemma and a very satisfying ending. It turns out you can forgive a lot! Recommended to any reader who likes romantic suspense with alpha male protective characters, small town setting, danger, pursuit, and lots of steamy scenes.

If you love the alpha male stories this one is for you. Levi is a take charge dominant sexy take no crap guy. He’s swoon worthy just ask Lilly., even though she’s been through the worst and is very guarded. This was another grand slam for one of my one click authors!

Lily is hiding in her hometown until the trial against her college professor almost killed her more than a year ago. She refused Witness Protection but her life is in danger again due to his former professor break from prison. Levi is a new hand in Lily’s cousin ranch and the attraction is explosive. But is she ready to open her heart? CAn Levi protect her while falling for her? The danger will bring then together or break them apart.

Due to a past traumatic event, Lily is wary of men. Most of her family doesn't know of the event.
Now a prison escape has her worried for her life. Levi is the new guy at her cousin's ranch, but he's not all that he seems.
This story was light on the suspense part though the final chapters will have your heart racing. I did enjoy though their journey of trust, love and fun. And yet it's based on half truths and we know the truth will come out. Will it make or break them? Will they even both survive the finale.
Great story, I couldn't put it down.
