I have a significant need to purchase a home with a pool now. The girls that get it, get it.

This was good, I flew through it in two hours. Spice, check. Attractive men, check. Confusing? Slightly. Immature characters all around? Absolutely. Look, this is closer to Twilight than it is to anything else, but I still ate it up.

This is a steamy STEAMY new adult romantic suspense and is book 1 in The Ravenwood Series. If anyone has read this, I beg you to DM me about the ending.

For those following my spice-o-meter, this is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5. It might be a 4.5 for 🔥

At 18, Cecilia moves in with her dad for the first time in her life. She uproots her whole life leaving her mom and BFF behind to move to a rand new town. There she meets smoldering hot Sean, who is in his mid 20s, and appears to a super nice guy. Sean's friend Dominic who is even more hot has the bad boy demeanor. Turns out they both may be bad boys as there seems to be some nefarious stuff going on and Cecilia is drawn into their seemingly dangerous world.

When I read books, I'm always trying to extract lessons. I love when a book reminds me of a lesson I know but often forget to live by. In Flock, I'm reminded to not judge others. You really don't know the path they've walked until you've been in their shoes. Their actions may not make sense to you on your journey but their journey is not yours. Don't judge or assume.

This audiobook was so very well done, the narration was superb. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't blushing a bit during the sexy scenes 😳

Audio specific portion of the review:
I love both narrators and find their performances to always be flawless. However, they were not the right casting fit for this story. Both narrators have mature voices and it didn’t fit the ages of the characters or their personalities well.

Overall review:
This book just wasn’t for me. I found that I disliked more than I liked. The writing was good, although at times too repetitive and wordy just for the sake of trying to sound deep and philosophical.

I found the heroine Cecelia to be naive, weak and extremely annoying. She was so d!ckmatized that she was constantly putting her own feelings and boundaries aside, to please her men. She continually made poor decisions and her age and immaturity was forefront the entire story. The second one of the men threatened to end things, she fell to their feet like a leaf and lost all backbone she barely had. Also, what was up with her relationship with her Dad? That whole added storyline was confusing and underdeveloped to the point of frustration.

Sean and Dominic the two heroes… I didn’t care for either of their characters. All the secrecy made it extremely hard to develop any kind of connection with them as people. When they weren’t having bedroom relations with the heroine, there wasn’t much exposure to them. Their whole “hood” thing was confusing and overly dramatic. I didn’t understand that whole aspect of the story at all.

What I did enjoy in this read was the relationship that Cecelia had with her best friend. She seemed to be one of the only selfless people in C’s life. I also adored Tyler the Marine and his potentially scandalous storyline with Dom’s aunt! I was more invested in those two than I was in the MCs!

I won’t be reading the rest of the trilogy because I wasn’t invested enough to continue, but I sure hope the various plot lines get flushed out!

I really enjoyed this first in a series book. I love the narrator and really felt the story was engaging with the narrator!

I love the NC mountains so I loved the setting and loved the way I was hooked right from the start of the book. No slow ease into this wild ride!

I look forward to continuing the series and I think I will continue it on audio!

I couldn't get into this because it was an audiobook. I really tried, but I could not follow the narrator.

Wowza! What did I just listen to? I was gifted this book through Book Sparks Summer Reading Challenge, so I went in blind I am not mad about it. I really enjoyed the story and the steaminess of this book. There were some parts that I felt were a bit over the top, but overall I really liked it. I thought the twist at the end was great, and I am excited to see it is a series!

Nineteen-year-old Cecilia has moved to Triple Falls, to stay with her father and work for his plant for a year, at his request. Although she doesn't know him very well, it's a condition of him paying her college tuition, so she feels like she has not choice. On the first day on the job, she meets Sean, a mysterious and charming guy who ends up being her supervisor. They begin their relationship as friends, although both sense an under current of chemistry between them. Sean's best friend, Dominic, makes his disdain for Cecilia known from the first moment the meet. As she slips into a relationship with Sean, Cecilia begins to learn more about Sean and Dom's unorthodox relationship and the mysterious brotherhood they are a part of. With red flags going up all over the place, Cecilia knows she should stay away from these two, but she can't help but be sucked into their world.

I had so many different feelings while reading this book. I was intrigued by Sean and Dominic and their brotherhood and the mystery behind it. I wanted to know more about what they were doing and what their end game was. I was perplexed throughout most of the book because Kate Stewart only gave readers little bits of information at a time, and even then we don't have the whole picture by the end of the book. I'm still a little confused by what's going on, but I think that was intentional, considering this is a cliffhanger/continual series. The ending of this book definitely made me want to start the next book, Exodus, immediately.

The other feeling I had while reading this book was...hot and bothered! The polyamory/reverse harem is something that can be tricky to write into romance books because it sometimes can be too over the top or too unbelievable. But Stewart did a great job with this story. Those sex scenes were intense and insanely hot and I was into it!

I listened to the audiobook and I highly recommend it! Joe Arden is one of my favorite narrators and he does a great job in this audiobook. It's duet style (where all male dialogue is read by the male narrator and all female dialogue is read by the female narrator), which is a style that I love because it makes the listening experience a little more authentic for me. If you have an opportunity to listen to this book instead of reading it, I recommend that you do.

Whoa, this book was addicting, and this suspenseful romance was burning hot! I could not stop listening and finished it in one day. I don't want to say too much about the plot because I'm afraid of giving something away. The beginning was a little slow, but it quickly accelerates and doesn't let up! Do yourself a favor and read this series now! The Ravenhood series is one of the favorites I've read in 2021!

This is one interesting book. Wicked steamy too. I am trying to think of a different word for it? Risqué is more like it! This book pushes the limits as to what is acceptable within the traditional relationship. Because I’ll tell you what this is anything but traditional. Now I need book 2 because I need to see what Cecilia does. Because it know she’s not going to take it like a girl!

This book was nothing like I thought it would be. I was thinking it would have some fantasy elements in it. I kept waiting for them. Instead it is a book about sexual exploration and one young women finding herself sexually. The narration was good on audio though. This book was just not my thing.

Ok, so I went into this book blind. I did not expect the MMF storyline. It came out of left field but I will admit that I did not mind it. In fact, I could not get enough and need to get books two and three to see how this story continues and ends. Plus, I need to see how the twist of Robin Hood plays out as I admit that I could not see any slight connection towards Robin Hood.

The dynamics between Cecelia, Sean and Dominic is hot....very hot. Although, I have to admit that I am more Team Sean then Dominic. Part of this reason is because Dominic was not as prominent in the story and two I was a bit turned off by his "coldish" personality.

I listened to the audio version of this book. The narrators are great. They really had clear voices and ones that I wanted to listen to. In fact, I want to do the audio versions of books two and three.

Flock by Kate Stewart really should be deemed as erotica. This is not romance, nor was there much of a story. It was pure sex, and lengthy sex scenes at that. If you want to get lost in a world of graphic sexual enjoyment, then this is the book for you. If books like that make you uncomfortable, I highly recommend passing on this one.

At first, this book seems like it will be a book about an angry, early 20-year-old who is sent to spend a year with her father, so she can earn her inheritance. It quickly turns into something much more graphic.

Really addicting story line. The narrator was fantastic. I am looking forward to more in this series. Would recommend to friends and family.

🎧 Whew...headphones on for this one friends! 🎧

Thank you BookSparks & Podium Audio for choosing me to be a part of their #src2021 Audiobook Track! Kate Stewart you knocked this one out of the park! ⚾️

🤫 The synopsis of “Flock” is a bit vague, much like the story itself, full of secrets! So, I wasn’t really sure what I was getting myself into when I pushed play.

🔥 What I experienced was fire. I think I was blushing the entire time, even with my earbuds in.

“I never told him how I allowed myself to be used, ravaged and at times debased to the point of depravity...and that I loved every second of it.”

🫁Not only can Kate write narrative from a sexy ass man’s perspective but I have to give a nod to the narrators Maxine Mitchell & Joe Arden that provided explosive chemistry & true emotional talent. I felt what the characters did, when Cecilia’s heart raced, mine did. When she licked her lips. I licked mine.

“Flock” follows 19-year old Cecelia “C” who moved in with her father in Triple Falls for a year in order to work at his business because her mother’s well- being is at risk.

She’s barely there but a moment when she meets Sean who invites her to a party back at his place. She automatically says no, she’s not the type to hang out with people she doesn’t know in an unfamiliar place. But, she’s easily persuaded by his charm.. It’s then & there that she decides that this is going to be her summer to shine. No holds barred.

“Free time will take on a whole new meaning for this wall flower.”

But she has NO idea what she’s getting herself into! A world full of private “meetings;” brief answers & a group full of men who are equally as hot as Sean. Especially, the head bad boy Dominic. Suddenly she can’t make up her mind which man she wants to pursue. But, does she have to?

“I love it... the draw...the sizzle..”

“I look good on you.”

“... It can be a LOT of fun to be an animal.”

But as amazing as this feeling is, all good things must come to an end. Can Cecelia survive it?

“Since day one I’ve done nothing but walk directly into the line of fire.”

An explosive MMF romance that I devoured. I can’t wait to continue on in this series.

5 ⭐️.

I went into this audiobook blind. Wow this was a spicy, steamy, sexy one!!!🔥🔥🔥

Cecilia was raised by her mother and now has to go live with her father if she wants her inheritance. She has to work at his factory in this small town and live in his country estate.

On the first day of orientation she meets Sean who invites her to a party which she then meets all the other hot small town guys.

This story was really rich and deep and you could feel this secret they were keeping from her. There is an undercurrent that you can tell is there from references, looks, vagueness and you really want to figure out what is happening or what their group was started for with the Raven tattoos.

Cecilia started a relationship with Sean and then Dominic got added into the mix. Oh to be 18-25 again! The steamy scenes were sooo steamy and wow I may have to revisit! There was fast driving, partying, sexy and funny banter and of course the steamy and emotional scenes.

You hurted my heart there for a while, I loved it! What is wrong with me?! I think I just want to read how they will fix it. I really need this vacation I am about to go on.

I can't wait till book #2 cause, what the cliffhanger? Who the what was that? lol

This was my first experience of an audio read and the experience was good. Thank you #Booksparks, #podiumaudio , #netgalley and #authorkatherinestewart for the gifted audiobook.

The story of the #Flock is rivetting. The author builds up the atmosphere and gives the vibes. It is full of emotion, unconventional, twisted and a romance laced with suspense. I went into it blind; and am so glad I did.

Some may find it a bit of a slow burn . I didn’t mind it; but do know it might leave you on a cliffhanger as this is only Book 1 of the #Ravenhead trilogy.

The romance and steaminess is high! Be prepared.
