The books just keep getting better as they are being written and once I started reading this, I kept going until the last page, I’m not sure if there will be a fourth book but as this one ended on a cliffhanger, it might happen.

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read this Arc.
This is the third in the series. Like the previous two it's absolutely brilliant! From the first page you are completely drawn in. It's fast paced throughout and completely gripping. Is that ending a hint at the next one to come??

Helen Phifer has done it again. Sending us on a fast paced ride to find the suspect. Just like the other two books in this series it starts quickly and sucks you right in.

Detective Morgan Brookes has quickly become one of my favourite detectives. It has been enjoyable watching her grow into the role, even though there is only about a year between the first book and this one. She does her job well and yet somehow she finds herself in more trouble than any other detective I've read, which can be quite comical at times.

This third instalment of the series is a nice balance of focusing on the crime and developing Morgan's character further. This book also dove a bit more into the relationships between her colleagues, which I really enjoyed.

What I love about the Morgan Brookes series is that the stories are fast paced and have enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end, even when you think you have it all figured out. But they are lighter than a lot of other crime thrillers I've read in that there are generally at least a few laugh-out-loud moments to balance things out. And this book is no different.

The ending of this story left a perfect segue into what I hope will be the fourth book.

A truly enjoyable read.

Thank you to Net Galley and Bookouture for an ARC of this book in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

Helen Phifer is one of those Authors whose books i buy without even knowing what it's about. She has a knack of drawing you into the story and the world could stop and you would have no idea. In this 3rd Morgan Brookes novel, a young girl goes missing later sadly found deceased, soon after another youngster also disappears. The team are up against the clock to try and find her.
Many thanks to Netgalley and publishers for the ARC in exchange for an honest review my opinions are my own

Morgan has become one of my favourite detectives. This series is marvellous, and the third book managed to live up to my high expectations. This time around a young girl disappears from her home street, and soon afterwards she is found dead. The police is frantically looking for the culprit, and then another girl goes missing...

I enjoyed the small town vibes, and the quirky people. You never know who is hiding what, and in whom you can trust. A long time ago a teenage girl went missing, never to be found, and Morgan can't let. Could it be related to these new cases?

Morgan has romantic feelings towards a man who already has a girlfriend. There is also another man who shows a strong interest in her. This naturally complicates her life, and unexpected things happen. Due to her damaged background it is not easy to get close to her.

I enjoy Phifer's writing style very much. It flows like a river, and you can just sit and watch it for hours. It is hard to explain how it's different from most other detective story writings. It is somehow softer, more gentle, like walking on green moss, instead of walking on hard concrete. It is a nice change to the way other authors write in this genre.

It seems impossible to find something negative to say, because this book, as the rest of them, is simply brilliant!

I absolutely adore Helen Phifer Novels and this one has been inhaled in one sitting. I absolutely love Morgan and Ben, it has been an absolute delight to revisit them in this one.
I absolutely need more from these characters, I'm so invested in them I need to know what's next. This is another book that has kept me on the edge of my seat and repeatedly guessing.
Phifer pulled me into this one from the very first page and this has been a book I have been completely unwilling to put down. I feel like this is one I have been eagerly anticipating and haven't been able to wait to lose myself in the pages of this one.
This is a truly magnificent author and I absolutely adore this book. I 100% recommend this series and this author. This book is delightfully chilling on occasions and one you will find impossible to put down.
This is just absolutely fabulous. A definite five star read.
