Absolutely loved this book!
I really enjoyed that no matter the success you can have in the big city, A small town and a small town girl can chanhe everything.
Thank you Netgalley for my ARC in exchange for my honest review
The best way to describe this book is it’s like a Hallmark movie! I really enjoyed the characters of Hadley and Cam. This was an adorable beach town romance with an enemies to lovers story. If you’d like Hallmark movies you will love this book
Thank you to NetGalleyfor the opportunity to read this book for an honest opinion
Coming Home to Seashell Harbor has it all. With a hot, hunky hero and rescue dogs, this book has it all.
After being publicly embarrassed, Hadley has come home to think things over, and help her grandmother run her Pet Hotel. Unfortunately, the Pet Hotel is almost in bankruptcy, and Hadley's grandmother has just broken her hip.
Hometown football great, Tony Cammareri, has also returned to their hometown. His football career is over and he's looking for a new project. He's has a thing for Hadley since they dated in high school.
Will Hadley be able to save her grandmother's business? And, will she be able to overcome her loathing of celebrities? You'll have to read this to find out.
I would highly recommend this title to romance and chick lit lovers. It will make a great beach book.
In the interest of full disclosure, I received a free digital copy of this title to review from Net Galley.

I am always up for listening to a light book in the midst of other harder-hitting books. It helps lighten the mood and is a pleasant listen, while riding a cycle around, which is what I now do instead of walking while working my way through audiobooks.
Hadley's small town is the perfect place for her to hide out from a very public breakup with a popular star. She imagines a relaxing holiday with her grandmother and dogs lots of dogs. Things do not even start the way she imagines. Her now-famous ex (from school days) is annoying her with his very presence.
The entire cast of family and friends on both sides of this couple get to work to bring about a change in their lives. They contribute to the narrative by being entertaining and emotional. The town also needs helps, and the changes might be a positive contribution.
This is a simple story, with both simpler and deeper moments between characters. It set an appropriate foundation for a future series in the area.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.
I really enjoyed this! The story was heartwarming. I loved the small town feel and the the wonderful characters. Hadley has come back to her hometown for awhile. She finds out that some things have changed. And the man who broke her heart when they were younger has come back to town also. They end up wrapped up in a new controversy. Thankfully she has her close friends and her family to help her through it all.
Note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All of the opinions are my own and this did not affect my review in any way.
I started reading this book without knowing what it was about, I just knew that it was right up my alley. This book deals with first loves, second chances and what it means to open up your heart to new opportunities so I knew that I had to read it.
In Coming Home to Seashell Harbor we follow Hadley Wells, who swapped her dreams of saving the planet for the glamour of Hollywood. But when a very public breakup reveals cracks in her not-so-perfect life, she returns to her hometown to reassess what it is she truly wants. Unfortunately, Seashell Harbor has some trouble of its own—including the first man to ever break her heart.
Although this book is quite long for a contemporary I was really blown away by the story and the plot the author managed to create. The characters felt real and throughout the story you get really attached to them, especially the main character. The banter between the two main characters made me smile and made the overall reading experience extraordinary.
The first half of the book was to get to know the town and the character better and that made the story drag a little but in the end all those details were what made me get emotionally invested in the story. My absolute favorite part of the book was the inclusion of animals into the story especially dogs, they made my heart swell.
Overall this is a great second chance romance novel about what it means to open up your heart to new possibilities. Truly recommend this great book.
A pleasant story of two people who split up when young, went their owns ways to some success, but then came home and found each other. Part issues resolved, but the issue of who got the building that was Pooch Palace remained. Would this divide them again? Warm characters, but quite slow and very repetitive. The dogs are cute though

CW: Cancer Diagnosis, End of Career Uncertainties
What It’s About: Hadley has just broken up with her famous boyfriend and is off to hide in her hometown of Seashell Harbor where she finds out that her beloved grandma’s dog hotel is being closed down and the building sold. Hadley is devastated and desperate to save the business that meant so much to her, only to find out that her first love Tony, a newly retired football pro, is the one who is buying the building. Let the rivalry begin.
What I Love: I am a sucker for a book that involves dogs.
What I Didn’t Love: I wasn’t sold on this romance, I didn’t necessarily find these two meant to be or get their relationship and that ended up kind of wrecking it for me. I didn’t get to know the characters really well. I didn’t think that the battle was intense as the rest of the characters and town did, which I get cause you can only go so far with an enemies to lover book. But ultimately not being sold on the romance, the amount of cheese within the book, and lack of really getting to know our characters made this a miss for me. This is disappointing I was looking for a good Jersey Shore romance, being a NJ native.
Who Should Read This: People who love a Hallmark movie. People who love dogs involved in their romance books.
Quick Summary: A pair of exes gets in to the ultimate battle for a building that is critical to each of their legacy.
This was such a great book. I ended up flying right through it. I found myself not wanting to put it down. This had a small town romance vibe to it. But it was also more than that. There was also hints of friendship and family in this book. I loved the small town feel of this book. These are quickly becoming my favorite to read!
The first half of the book you spend really getting to know the characters. It was so fun watching Hadley and Tony try and one up each other on everything. I loved the side characters as well, especially grandma. She was so fun and feisty. I found this to be a really enjoyable book. This would be the perfect book to pack in your beach bag this summer. I highly recommend checking it out!
This was the first book by this author for me but definitely not the last! Hadley has come home to Seashell Harbor after she is splashed all over the gossip mags because of her breakup and all she wants to do is hide out and rest and rehab with her grandmother but life has other plans. Her grandma has broken her hip and has decided it is time to retire and Tony Cammareri has moved back to town and plans to open a restaurant. These two have a past and now, it seems, fate has deemed them have a present. Will they be able to work together or will they forever compete and try to outdo each other. This one was so good and even though I had this one in audio it would be just as good as a beach read. LOVED IT!
This is the first book I have read by Miranda Liasson, but it won't be my last. I very much enjoyed this second chance, small town romance. Hadley Wells has returned to Seashell Harbour after a very public break up from her actor boyfriend, because of another woman. Tony Cammareri is back for good after an injury ends his pro-football career. Tony is very well off, but wants to start something new to help his hometown. It turns out that they both have plans for Hadley's Grandma’s shop Pooch Palace. Hadley wants to bring back the business in its heyday, and add a no-kill shelter, while Tony wants to open a restaurant. This puts them on opposite sides of a battle, where everyone in town has a position. What they all know is that they want both Tony and Hadley to remain in town and work out their problems.
This is a wonderful, second chance romance. When they were in high school, Hadley and Tony were an item, but they both left to follow their dreams and things changed. These friends became enemies both blaming the other for what happened. The dialogue and verbal sparring was well written, especially at the beginning when they deal with each other for the first time and become frenemies. This was a well written story with great well developed characters. Even the secondary characters were integral to the story and I look forward to seeing them return in the next book in this series. I have to mention Hadley's grandmother as another great character. Hadley originally comes home because he is injured, but she has a lot planned and is instrumental in the goings on in this book. I always enjoy the addition of animals to a good story and this one is full of great ones. All in all, an enjoyable story with themes of love, second chances, family, animal protection, community and friendship. I listened to Seashell Harbor on audio and was very pleased with Kate Marcin's narration. She did a good job with the various voices and with her expression and emotion, she added to my enjoyment of an already sweet, delightful story. If you enjoy a clean, sweet, small town romance, then you will enjoy Coming Home to Seashell Harbor.
Hadley Wells has just gone through a very public break-up with a celebrity. To get away from the spotlight she heads home to Seashell Harbor where she's also confronted with the first man to break her heart: Tony "Cam" Cammareri.
Tony is also newly back to Seashell Harbor after a knee injury ended his football career. Now, he's looking to continue his legacy by opening a restaurant. Problem is, it's Hadley grandmother's building he's looking to buy.
What starts as a competition soon turns into Cam and Hadley reigniting that old flame. But will their career goals get in the way of what they could have together?
I liked listening to this audiobook as it was a quick and easy listen. I thought the narrator did a fine job, but found there wasn't much distinction between different characters' voices. The women tended to sound similar to one another, same with the men. It didn't impact my overall enjoyment of the story. Once I got with the flow of everything and learning who was who, it wasn't much of an issue.
I enjoyed how we see both Hadley and Cam coming back to their hometown after both having some super life-changing moments happen in their lives. And in turn seeing how they each are coping with their change. Namely, they're both reaching for their futures and questioning what their futures should look like. Cam wants to open a restaurant, but is conflicted between utilizing his fame as a pro-football player versus wanting to keep it close to his family's heart.
Hadley doesn't want to see her grandmother give up her business due to pressure from Cam to sell, but an injury causes Hadley to take over running her grandmother's dog grooming business and she begins to see an opportunity for growth. But her heart still sees being in Seashell Harbor as a summer-only respite.
While both are questioning their futures, Cam and Hadley bond over their shared past and learn that feelings they've had for one another are still there.
I kind of liked seeing them work through their business conflicts then their burgeoning romance as two separate entities. Obviously there comes a point where these things converge, but building up separately really gives readers a good glimpse of how much they both stand to lose in the process.
Along the way, Miranda Liasson does this great thing where we get clear pictures of the next books in the series which I'm assuming will follow Hadley's friends. Their setups are wonderful yet don't detract from Hadley and Cam's focus whatsoever.
I will say that Coming Home to Seashell Harbor doesn't break any new ground. It might seem downright repetitive to many, but I always feel like there's something to be said for those comfort reads that you know will satisfy and enjoy, much like coming home again. Seashell Harbor is somewhere you just want to tuck in a lose yourself for a short while.
I look forward to seeing this series grow and seeing where things go with the other characters along the way.
This story was such a sweet book. Set in a small town, Seashell Harbor, we see two former lovers battling it out over the fate of Pooch Palace I enjoyed the slow burn of this second chance relationship and the banter between characters. It looks as if this is the beginning of a new series and I can’t wait to revisit Seashell Harbor in future books!
Coming Home to Seashell Harbor is the first book in the Seashell Harbor series by Miranda Liasson. Public relations phenom Hadley Wells is back home in Seashell Harbor for the summer after having been involved in a very public and rather nasty break up with an A list star. Her firm wants her to lie low until the dust settles.
Also back home in Seashell Harbor is football legend Tony “Cam” Cammareri after a major injury blew out his knee ending his career. Tony needs to reinvent himself before the public has forgotten all about him and plans to do so by opening a restaurant in his own hometown. His dream of a family themed restaurant featuring his family recipes is being overshadowed by the actions of his agent and the slew of investors that have been brought on board.
Not only are they both back in Seashell Harbor, but they are also vying for Hadley’s grandmother’s, Madeline Evans, building in the center of town. This after a bad breakup after being high school sweethearts, has set them at great odds
With her grandmother laid up in the hospital after a serious fall leads to a hip break and surgery, Hadley is determined to take over her grandmother’s almost defunct dog grooming and boarding business and turn it around for her grandmother while she recuperates. Although it is Hadley’s intent to reopen the salon as in its heyday, what she discovers is a dire need for an animal shelter in their town and her uncanny ability to help place pets with people.
Grandma Maddy has her own plans as do Hadley’s longtime friends Darla and Kit. With the excuse of her rehab, Grandma tasks Hadley and Cam with following through with her plan for a local major fund raiser. But will her plan work?
This is a delightful story and, even though there is some tension, it is obvious that the characters in this story truly care for one another. The delightful conclusion will warm the hearts of the readers. I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it!
Coming Home to Seashell Harbor is a cute and heartwarming second-chance romance. Although not entirely unique in the concept, I did overall enjoy the story of Hadley and Tony’s reunited love.
Any book with furry friends infuses another element of adorableness so I have to say, the dog rescue scenarios were my favourite part of the story and the love story was a bit pale in comparison.
If you’re looking for an easy breezy and light novel, Coming Home to Seashell Harbor is a great book to bring with you on vacation or to the beach.
Sometimes I feel like my mood largely dictates how I feel about a book and to be fair to this book, it always seems to me that whatever I read following something I hands down adored tends to suffer a bit because of that immediate comparison. That in no way means this isn't a diverting read and take this review with a grain of salt. It's a second chance romance in a small town, which are two tropes I'm a fan of. This all to say... I liked it and would read more by Miranda, but I was able to turn it on and off without too much angst on my side.
Hadley and Tony are high school sweethearts. Their epic break up makes their reunion less than comfortable. But what can they do with meddling, small town matchmakers on hand?
I will always appreciate a strong female friendship group. I think I just wanted more; more reason to root for Hadley and Tony as a couple, more dynamic girl time, etc. I will say though, that I thought the ending was quite sweet and worth the read.
The narrator, Kate Marcin, might have been part of the "okay" feelings that I have. I believe a different narrator's inflection and character voices could have gone a long way to making the listen more interesting. Again, not bad, but it wasn't one of my better experiences with an audiobook.
Thank you to OrangeSky Audio and NetGalley for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.
4 Star Review Coming Home To Seashell Harbor by Miranda Liasson
AUDIO REVIEW:
Miranda Liasson is a new author to me as was the narrator Kate Marci. From the first chapter to the last I was drawn in to Hadley Wells and Tony Cammareri’s (Cam) story and their return to Seashell Harbor.
This is a second chance at love story that ticked the boxes for me. It was well written and narrated and you couldn’t help but become invested in the story that Ms. Liasson wove. I have to say one of my favourite characters was Grandma, she was such a fun, feisty, no nonsense woman; I also loved Hadley’s best friends.
Hadley and Cam have history and now they are more frenemies and Cam knows that it will take a lot for Hadley to forgive him and move on, or even if she can. When they both set their sites on her Grandma’s shop Pooch Palace they will find themselves on opposing sides yet again.
Their journey was rocky but it was worth it in the end.
Hadley Wells has returned home after being publicly dumped by her celebrity boyfriend. In Seashell Harbor she encounters her first love Tony Cammareri who has also recently returned after his professional football career is sidelined by an injury.
Hadley still has hard feelings towards Tony which is only made worse when she discovers he is trying to buy her grandmother's pet boarding business to convert the building into a restaurant. Hadley has her own ideas to turn the business into a dog rescue.
It doesn't take long for things to heat up between them, but how will they overcome the obstacles stacked against them?
The coastal setting makes this a fun summer read, and Kate Marcin breathes charm and life into the story with her excellent narration.

This is book one in the Seashell Harbor series.
Hadley is very publically dumped by her famous boyfriend. So she heads home to Seashell Harbor to work out where her life is going.
Tony Cammaren, is forced to retire as a professional footballer due to an injury. He heads home to Seashell Harbor to start a new venture. Little does he expect to bump into Hadley… his first love.
This story was slow to get going, but was enjoyable and well written.
Great narration by Kate Marcin.
I look forward to reading more books in this series.
