Seduced by the Dragon Lord is the second in the Dragon Lords series. Loved Jessie and Orik together - Jessie is feisty, resourceful and strong and Orik finds himself unwillingly attracted to her to the point of distraction. Ms. Fay has a talent for building vivid alien worlds that come to life on the pages - her books are always an enjoyable escape. Looking forward to the next in the series!

Another human girl is kidnaped from the earth in an alien spaceship and flown to another planet. For me another great book. The story is interesting, intriguing, funny, and full of laughter, a story about family, love, and finding yourself. I enjoyed every page and every twist and turn and the love that blossoms between two wonderful characters.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

The story-line is good and action filled with humorous dialogue and had my interest from the beginning.

I'm so happy I got the opportunity to read and review the second book of this saga.

I finished it in just one morning. I like how this fantasy romance has an actual plot that it's engaging. I really enjoyed reading Jessie's and Orik's POV

Jessie is an adrenaline junkie who loves her extreme adventure business. Raised by a father who is a former military guy, she knows how to take care of herself in most situations. She's the proverbial tomboy. If she were a boy, I could totally see her as an Eagle Scout. When Jessie ends up in a space ship and kidnapped into an alien world, her survival skills are put to the test.

What I found interesting is that somehow she turns into a "Disney" princess. The only good part of being a Disney princess in the manner that animals love her and follow her around in the jungle. This is a pretty awesome skill and I would totally kill for it. I liked Jessie. She is tough and she knows she can take care of herself. She's probably not the best person to trust because she can't keep her word. She constantly breaks her promises which she justifies in many different ways. I'm not saying that she doesn't have a good reason. What I'm saying is, maybe don't make promises you know you aren't going to keep. Because really, why would anyone trust you will do something when you say you will?

Orik on the other hand, he is a male who you can take his word to the bank. He doesn't break his promise. He is a male with conviction. He is also a little too black and white. This makes Jessie the perfect person to help balance him out. Their interactions are explosive. Their chemisty is fair. Their angry make-up sexual interludes I could have done without. This story does have a few erotic scenes which I mostly skimmed because they didn't appeal to me. Your mileage may vary.

What I am more interested in is learning more about the different witches and specifically about the dragon enemies. Hopefully we will see more of the white haired witch too. I think her story may come up in a couple of books. Overall, I enjoy this series and hope to read more in this magical world.

Looking for a fun, roller-coaster, suspense plus a hot and spicy book. Then this is the book for you.

I'm a readers who enjoy paranormal fantasy with a great hunky dragon shifters, humans with powers, and crazy villains. This is my kind of story!

This heroine is brave and not timid and doesn't need anyone to save her. Did I say I love lots of drama, action, magic, dragons, creatures, love and sex.

I liked this one better than the first but still not a fan. The first chapter is the end of the first book, which was weird but could live with it. As I started reading it, it felt just like the first book. There wasnt much of a plot difference; some minor details but no huge difference. There was also a ton of inner monologue but not anything that progressed the story just rambling on.

An absolutely scrumptious sci-fi romance indulgence!! I've decided Ms. Fay and her Dragon Lords series has fast become an addicting guilty pleasure. Sure, Jessie's character was eye-rolling annoying with her stubborn and stupid decisions at times, and the villain was a bit cliche but the story still delivers in every yummy, edge-of-your-seat page. For anyone who enjoys science fiction - light, with a good dose of hot romance and suspense, this book and series might be just what the Dr. ordered!

After reading Tempting the Dragon King I got an arc for Seduced by the Dragon Lord. And it is again a very hot read. It continues with the story of King Tristan and his (hilarious) human queen Juniper. When another spacecraft lands in his kingdom, King Tristan sends out his trusted guard Orik to check it out. Orik is cautious to investigate the intruders with their spaceship, because they could be witches. And Orik knows from experience how horrible they can be: they murdered his family and therefore he wants to wipe them from their planet.
But it is no witch: it is a woman from earth who got stuck in a spaceship. A very feisty and stubborn woman. Jessie's father always told her: curiosity will kill the cat. Well, it certainly got her in a strange place. But hell will need to freeze over, before she lets herself killed by those hot and grumpy warriors. Both Jessie and Orik don't trust each other, but Orik has promised Queen Juniper that he will keep Jessie safe. Which is proving quite difficult, since Jessie doesn't follow orders very well.
Jessie has a hard time adapting to her new surroundings and to her suddenly new abilities. Something that makes her look like a witch. And since Orik has vowed to kill all witches, Jessie is desperate to avoid interaction with Orik, although she can't get enough of the view of this broody warrior.
When the palace is attacked by witches, Orik feels betrayed by Jessie. Because he was falling for the impossible female. But now, since she shows signs of being a witch, or ik must decide if he wants to fulfil his oath to kill all witches: including Jessie.
Full of fun, suspense, twists and turns. A great hot and spicy read of Fay. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Ms. Fay has done it again. This time it's Jessie and Orik. What do you do when you fall in love with the thing you hate? How would you deal with an interplanetary romance? This is part two of the dragon series. You'll see some of your favorite characters as well as new ones. It is a one sitting read, that will keep you entertained for hours.

I was invited to read this book so I thank the publisher for the opportunity. I absolutely loved my introduction to this world and the science fiction elements of space with the earlier books from the author. This story unfortunately other than the fact that our heroine happens to step into a space ship accidentally and is transported to a new world has little or no space opera like elements.
Jessie lands on a world populated by dragon shifters. Once her initial fear and panic begins to subside she finds herself strangely attracted to the captain of the guard and he to her. She is also apparently manifesting strange powers that fall into the realm of magic and witchery which the hunky mail has an anathema for. While she recalls some dreamy instances of her mother telling her she will be powerful there is really no explanation. Did her mother come from another world? readers are left to ponder and come to their own conclusions.
As it happens she's stumbled on a war for succession between witches and dragons and she becomes this superwoman who's going to single handedly safe her new friends with emerging powers she barely understands.
The author does some great word building but alas it misses the space elements that I am enthralled with.
Better luck next time since the excerpt I read seems to indicate that we're going to see some wonderful space action.

Trapped in an alien spacecraft through no fault of her own, Jessie Knight is jettisoned into space and intercepted by a mysterious group of soldiers who call themselves dragon shifters. Thrust into a world of myth, legend, and danger, she discovers she may not be entirely human as she begins to develop latent powers that both captivate and mystify her. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Kiersten Fay is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book

I love Kirsten Fay and I love most of her books. However, I didn't love this book. The hero was rightfully biased, so I found it a but unbelievable when he made a 360 degree change from wanting to have nothing to do with our heroine (despite a strong attraction), to loving her and not being able to live without her. I would have liked to know how seemingly human people, suddenly because supernatural. Is there something in the air? I know she had some latent abilities, but why did they show up on that particular planet? So many things to unpack that were left unsaid. I would definately read others in the series.

I did a lot more skimming in this book then the first in the series. At moments it was boring and there was nothing going on between the characters it felt like chapter after chapter of internal thoughts. It was slow going after the initial excitement of her finding her way of an alien ship and creating a barrier with ship part to keep her safe. Once they get to the castle it’ just seems to be missing something. When the characters do talk to each other the dialogue is whitty and the way they challenge each other is fun to read about. However if you can get through the middle of the book the end is pretty good. There is plenty of fire between these two and the buildup is slow but does progress at a nice pace in this story. I do wish we would have seen a little more of June and her getting to connect. Wish there was more dialogue between characters and less internal monologue, which causes the story to lag at different parts.
We never do get to find out what happens to the white haired witch, why she comes and goes and what purpose her role was in this book.

I can't say I enjoyed this quite as much as the first book as I felt it was a little to similar. however, I did really enjoy reading it and loved Jessie's characters. Orik did make me laugh with his grumpy nature but annoyed me at times too .

There were a lot of typo/ grammar errors that need to be addressed.

I loved the descriptions of various plants and animals, phoenix especially.

I do look forward to seeing where the next book will take us.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was provided this book in exchange for my hones opinion.

I have loved the first book of this series very much and the second one didn't disappoint.

I love Kiersten Fay's books because her female lead is not a damsel in distress (not really). The MC is fierce, stubborn and confident. I also enjoy that the book is not simply about the relationship between the two characters. There is a fight for the kingdom, the discovery of secret magical powers. Traitor of the royal family who tries his best to seize the power. The plot that any writer can be proud of. This is great fantasy/sci-fi with amazing sex scenes. It is fun to read!

I have noticed several issues with the second book, and the below-listed things are the reason behind my lower rating.

SPOILERS BELOW: do not read past here if you don't want spoilers:

- The 1st chapter was the Epilogue of the 1st book - this felt strange and I didn't enjoy reading the same information again.
- There is repetition and similar themes with book 1 - example: the value/theme with the knife. I think in the first book it was swiss knife here it is a different type but still
- Typos: there were a couple of typos in the text. "the' and "a" following each other, or "piece with witches" instead of "peace with witches"
- Discrepancies: There were few but 2 really annoyed me: when Jessie is put in her cell in the first scene the cell is opened with the panel and buttons on the wall. But in the second scene, the guards open the cell with a key and keyhole. During Orik's memory of his past, he hurts the witch with his poisonous talon making an ugly scar on witch's face. but later in the book when he tells the story to Jessie, he says it was a tooth.

If these "beauty" mistakes were corrected it would be a 4 star for me. Thank you so much Kiersten for allowing me to read your book! I really enjoyed this adventure and I am looking forward to the next one.

Back to the planet of Dragons!

Those pesky aliens have used another spaceship to hijack a female from Earth. They abducted the wrong woman though - Jessie is a kick-butt hero. She's the daughter of a Marine and a wilderness lover. But when the spaceship gets waylaid by Orik and his guards they try to et her know she is safe but she just stabs them with her weapons LOL. There will be no sweet-talking Jessie around.

Orik is the epitome of cool, calm and collected but something about Jessie just makes his blood heat! The only Earthing he knows is the mate of his leader (and adoptive brother) but Jessie is nothing like her. She tries to "escape" at every opportunity. But one of her escapes leads to a big discovery being made about her!

I loved Orik. He is just so grumpy at Jessie's antics. I'm a sucker for a grump. The love between Orik and his adoptive family is so sweet. They never see him as less than they just because he doesn't have royal blood. And his backstory is tragic! Jessie is a spitfire and but she is also stubborn and foolhardy. Sometimes you want to shake her and just tell her to "THINK" before she reacts.

Opposites do attract strongly here and whilst it's not exactly enemies-to-lovers it's dang close! Great read.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of SEDUCED BY THE DRAGON LORD (Book 2 of the Dragon Lords) by Kiersten Fay in exchange for an honest review. The good: this book had some lovely and charming descriptions of alien flora & fauna. The meh: There were a couple of typos and some instances of “That word doesn’t mean what the author thinks it means.” Hopefully, those will have been corrected by the time of publication. The bad: This is one of those books where the male lead irrationally hates and mistreats the female lead. The more he mentally and emotionally abuses her, the more she pants after him. This dynamic follows them into the bedroom where he enjoys hitting her and she just loves it. (I’m rolling my eyes, right now). Things get even worse afterward. I recommend this book to fans of that sort of trope.

This was a good follow up to the first book, Tempting the Dragon King. It was a fun, quick read. I did find that there were a lot of similarities to the first book, with the transportation to space being almost exactly the same, the heroine has a knife with sentimental value, and both hero and heroine have tragic backstories.

There were some issues with typos and continuity errors, for example there are several instances where Orik calls Jessie “Jessa” when earlier in the book a different character called her “Jessa” and was firmly corrected that her name was “Jessie”.

Book 2 in the Dragon’s Lord books brings us the story of Orik. As a young man before his Dragon change his family was murdered by Witches. Orik is now the Kings guard but his history will make him suspicious of Jessie recently arrived from Earth and showing signs of empathy with the local animal life. Her first signs of witchcraft will draw out an evil faction who have been waiting in the dark. Orik and Jessie will find themselves drawn to each other and must work together to change the tide that is coming. Orik and Jessie have a sexy chemistry together but must overcome Orik’s prejudices. You will enjoy that Jessie has a strength inside her to be more than equal to Orik’s Dragon.
I was given a arc of this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
