Until You Came Along is a funny and engaging story for children and adults alike. While the format is a little longer than a traditional children's book, it is much more fun for adults to read and the illustrations are more like a graphic novel. This would make for an excellent gift for any new parents!

I really didn't like this book. It's probably unfair because I was really expecting it to be a kid's book and it definitely isn't. I wouldn't buy it for my library. I know it's supposed to be more for the parents than the kids, but I just couldn't get excited about it.

This book is on the long side (like super long) for a picture book, but that's because it's not really a picture book. It's very much a book with cursing and adult themes that you should not read with any child who can talk or understand English. It's an illustrated humor book about parenting.

The illustrations show diverse couples. The only thing is that everything they bemoan losing with their new kids is pretty much a checklist of cliche things upper middle class white millenials in West Coast cities like. Which is, you know, true for some people but isn't going to be relatable for all.

This book will serve best as a gag gift, baby shower gift, or gift for parents when their kid turns one. It's definitely the type of thing new parents can gift to each other, and I can imagine parents getting it for their own kids once they are planning on having kids themselves.
