This story kept me guessing right up to the shocking conclusion. Lily Atwood has a perfect life. She is a beautiful and high profile Emmy Award-winning TV news reporter in Boston and a single mom to an adorable seven-year-old daughter, Rowen. She purposely keeps Rowen out of the public eye and relies on her trusted producer, Greer, to keep her life running smoothly. But her perfect life begins to unravel when an anonymous source threatens to reveal life-changing secrets from Lily’s own past unless she cooperates with his demands. Little does she know that Greer is also being manipulated by this unknown informant. How far will Lily go to protect her daughter and her carefully-built life? The story is told from the points of view of Lily and Greer in the present and Lily’s older sister, Cassie, beginning twenty-five years in the past. The plot is fast-paced and expertly-crafted, weaving together the long-buried secrets of the past with the mystery unfolding in the present. I have loved all of Hank Phillippi Ryan’s stand-alone thrillers, but I think this my favorite yet! I highly recommend it. This was a fast-paced intriguing drama with several plot twists that had you rethinking what you thought you knew. Suspenseful nature abounds in this gripping and riveting tale that kept me entrenched in the narrative that I could not put this book down until all was said and done. The characterizations of the three main protagonists gave more depth to the situation at hand with their interactions and engaging dialogue that set the tone of what was yet to come. The author knows how to write an explosive story with great aplomb and the thrilling feat of apprehension. Overall, a terrific read.

Slow Burn With A Bang. This is one of those slow burn mysteries that doesn't seem like the stakes are *overly* high... until you find yourself in a situation with guns drawn in broad daylight in the streets of Boston. (Yes, a touch of a spoiler, but a very minor one given the lack of other details. :D) Overall you've got three primary perspectives, two in third person (sisters) and one in first, and everyone is hiding things from everyone for varying reasons and no one really knows who to trust at all, including some of the non-perspective characters. So on that point, this tale works well - if, again, a bit slow and seemingly low-stake. But it is compelling enough to have you want to follow along and see what exactly happens, particularly once we begin to get the third perspective (which doesn't happen until around the 25-33% of the book, IIRC). Overall an inventive tale that plays with some well worn tropes and spins them a bit in a new-ish way, and for this it is very much recommended.

Hank Philippi Ryan is one of my favorite writers so getting the chance to read this book has made me very happy! A superb psychological thriller focusing on the allegedly perfect life of an influencer whose peaceful existence is suddenly upended by someone who seems to know her darkest secrets...

I am usually a slow reader but Hank Phillippi Ryan's books grab you right away and are hard to put down once you start so they are quick reads for me. Her Perfect Life was no exception. Filled with twists and turns, all the characters have something to hide as the story progresses. Lily has worked hard to create the image of a perfect life for her and her daughter but there are secrets she harbors from her childhood and her adult life. Greer, her producer, is highly capable and has worked well with Lily until she decides to pursue a story on her own and disappears. Mr. Smith, an anonymous tipster, gives them credible leads on stories but who is he and what does he really want? Lily feels her perfect life starting to crack and she starts to question whom she can trust. Each chapter gives you more clues or more subtefuge. No spoilers here but I did not see the surprise ending until the very end. A true thriller. Kudos to Hank Phillippi Ryan for another thoroughly enjoyable read that kept me guessing.

I was hooked from the start of reading. The story jumps from present to past and keeps you intrigued. Lily Atwood has the perfect life except for missing her sister. This book kept the twists and turns coming all the way to the end of the story.

I was given an ARC of this book and I truly enjoyed it. It took me a little while to get into it otherwise I would have given it 5 stars ⭐️ but I rarely give 5 stars anyway. It became a page turner trying to figure out who the man was that was bringing together the 2 sisters that hadn’t seen each other in 25 years due to a situation that one sister blamed herself for and it wasn’t even true. I would recommend this book. Thank you for giving me this chance to read this book as a top follower. Kudos to this sweet author.

Wow! This was such a good read! She had me from the first word to the last. Be prepared there is quite a twist at the end.

This is another in the emerging genre of missing girls who may not really be missing. News anchor Lily Atwood has s perfect life with her daughter Rowan until she finds out that he much older sister Cassie, presumed dead, may be very alive....Cue overly complicated plot points and some unlikely coincidences. This is not a bad beach read that you will forget 5 minutes after you finish it.

In “Her Perfect Life”, we meet Lily, a seemingly perfect and put together TV journalist and her producer, Greer, when an event from the past threatens to upend Lily’s perfectly cultivated life, how will she and Greer respond? As more about Lily’s family life and her relationship with Greer is revealed through multiple POV chapters, I found myself trying to figure out what would happen next and how certain events occurred. I don’t want to say much more for fear of spoilers, but this was a fast-paced book that kept me guessing until the end!

Thank you Macmillan and NetGalley for this book. Lily is a famous tv personality. She has a producer, Greer, and a 7 yo daughter named Rowen. When Lily was seven, her 18 yo sister left because she did a bad thing. The story goes back and forth between what Cassie did and Lily’s life now. It’s a quick read and seems quite plausible. This is also a fast read, and if you have to put it down, you can pick right up again.

Loved this book by multiple mystery award winner Ryan. She certainly knows how to write a page turner with riveting characters and secrets slowly given throughout the novel. Ryan sells well at my bookstore and am thoroughly happy to recommend this one to my customers.

This book was amazing! Its quick, it's fast paced. Its my first Hank Phillipi Ryan book and definately not my last! Awesome characters and this book kept me guessing til the very end! Thank you for the chance to read this 5 STAR book!

This book had a promising start but then became just too unbelievable and left you amazed at the stupidity of all the characters. Lily, a television & social media star, wants to know what happened to her sister who disappeared more than twenty years ago. She then learns that her sister is still alive and that's when the book starts to disappoint.

The twist in this book...blew...my....mind. My jaw literally dropped and I looked up and went "what the F did i just read?!" I HIGHLY reccommend!!

Her Perfect Life, will give you the worst book hangover of your life! WOW! How will I ever find something to compare? Her Perfect Life was a wild ride! Obviously, this does not surprise me as I have been a HUGE fan of Hank Phillippi Ryan.

This was a a very real, in depth emotional suspense novel that immediately had me hooked within the first chapter. The characters are multi-dimensional and really feel real!

Cassie is fresh into college and living her best life. Cassie was raised by a single mother after her father passed away. At 18 years old and on her own for the first time, something happens and Cassie disappears, leaving her little sister, Lily, on her own. Lily is now a very famous journalist, living as a single mother with her daughter and dodging bits of jealousy from her producer, Greer. Lily also has a secret, she has an informant feeding her information for her career but when the informant starts telling her information about her own past Lily knows that her secret past might be revealed ..

What really happened to Cassie way back when and is Cassie still alive?

You will not see this ending coming!

I would highly recommend Her Perfect Life to those who enjoy a fast paced thriller.
