Hank did it again! This is my favorite of all of her novels so far. A thriller that I couldn’t put down, with twists that I couldn’t guess. Loved it!

Her Perfect life was a fantastic read. I wasn't sure what to expect from this because of the mixed reviews, I'd say I exercised quite a bit of suspension of desbelief whilst reading this book, and it worked for me.

The main character is a successful producer who uses an anonymous source who feeds her tips, and she believes every single of them blindly... who does that? Lily Atwood, of course!

I have to say I loved the three different viewpoints, the unreliable narrator and... that secret (which was absolutely insane!!!)

Overall a fun read.

Her Perfect Life has lots of twists and turns, you will not see what’s coming. And the ending will surprise you, yes the one with the perfect life isn’t as it seems. Will her secrets remain private I guess you will have to read the book to find out what her secret is.

Her Perfect Life is a good Mystery I enjoyed it.

Her Perfect Life could be Hank Phillippi Ryan's best yet. This tightly wound, perfectly knotted mystery centers around Lily Alcott, a popular television news icon, and the story-book life she has constructed for herself, When a secret from her past threatens to ruin her, who can she trust to keep the secret safe? Masterful twists and intriguing characters will keep you entertained to the very end.

Hank Phillippi Ryan's HER PERFECT LIFE
While there can’t be a perfect life, this may well be a perfect book. I was completely blown away by twists and turns and the ending, I did NOT see coming, but which felt so right. I LOVED THIS BOOK!
Lily’s “over-protective” care for her daughter grew from the unsolved disappearance of her sister when she was young. One can’t reason away the pain of loss, early traumas and ongoing fear . . . one can only help create a safe space, as we did for a friend who feared dogs because of a traumatic early childhood attack.
Part of her protective armor is the creation of a perfect life #perfectlily with the income to support private school, a nanny, and other safety barriers. The problem is that perfection is not possible, not real, and as friends and I remind each other, perfection is the enemy of the good. As the “perfect” life, a house of cards, begins to wobble, whom can Lily trust to help keep Rowen and herself and others safe? Sometimes it’s hard to tell who’s really on your side, especially while trying to maintain a mask of perfection.
Clear the calendar for this one, as you won’t want to put it down!
Lesson: Taking responsibility and making amends is a better way to build an authentic life.
Side note: Ryan’s use of multiple narrators adds to the clarity of the story. I color code markers for each, but this is written so clearly that I wouldn’t have needed to.

Her Perfect Life starts out as a fast paced thriller with an alternating duel narratives between Lily Atwood and her Producer, Greer. Lily is the local TV news "talent", the face the public loves. Greer is our unreliable or untrustworthy narrator of the two that seems to both love and resent the woman that gets all the credit. But wait, throw in a mysterious source that is feeding the women juicy tidbits of information that makes Lily's star shine all the brighter. And, if that isn't enough, there is always a secret. This one is Lily's who has been hiding what she believes is a career-ending whopper.
While you're cruising along at mach speed, another narrator pops up that starts to develop a backstory and the possible secret that Lily wants kept hidden.
I have to admit, it got somewhat confusing at times with the addition of characters and alias' but it all comes together in the end.
Thank you to Ms Ryan and Netgalley for an early copy. All opinions are my own.

Everyone knows Lily Atwood—and that may be her biggest problem. The beloved television reporter has it all—fame, fortune, Emmys, an adorable seven-year-old daughter, and the hashtag her loving fans created: PerfectLily. To keep it all she has to do is protect one life-changing secret. Easier said than done. This book grabbed me on page one and kept me up all night finishing it. More page-turning suspense than I have read in a while. I had my suspicions about who the bad guy was but wasn't positive so the ending was perfect. I'm not sure Hank Phillippi Ryan can write a bad book and this story maintains her status of Queen of Mystery in my book. Trust me....this will be one of the best books you will read this year. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced readers copy for review.

Lily Atwood is recognized wherever she goes and that is sometimes not a good thing! She is a well known news reporter and a single mother. She will do anything to protect the people that she loves! Sometimes to the point of being paranoid. This is largely due to her past because her 18 year old sister went missing and was never found. Her perfect life is suddenly put to the test and I couldn't wait to see how everything turns out! Another 5 star read by Hank Phillippi Ryan!! Highly recommend!

I haven't read any of Phillippi-Ryan's books before, but after reading this, I will be seeking some out!

To me, this book is a perfect example of an easy read, but one that continues to keep you engaged without being overly complicated; just right for a thrilling read!

The story follows well known news anchor, Lily, who is incredibly protective of her seven year old daughter, her only family, or so Lily would have her colleagues, audience and many Instagram followers believe.

Lily's sister Cassie, went missing when Lily herself was seven, whispering cryptic goodbyes in the middle of the night. Lily is left to watch her Mother fade away with grief and is forced to look after her self and forge a life at 19, which she does with great success and one that she is very eager to protect.

Enter a mysterious 'source' the story follows Lily learn more about her Sisters 'disappearance', whilst protecting her daughter from public scrutiny, and trying to maintain her 'perfect life.

A very entertaining read.

Twenty-five years ago, Cassie Atwood disappeared into the night, never to be seen or heard from again. Until now. Cassie wants to come home...

Lily Atwood, Cassie's younger sister is a well-known tv presence/journalist, with the aptly chosen #PerfectLily. But, what the world doesn't know is that Lily has a past...and that she's gone to great lengths to keep her secrets.

It seems, however, that the confidential informant, Mr. Smith, is willing to go to great lengths to reveal those secrets to get what he wants regardless of the collateral damage.

Her Perfect Life is a MUST READ! Forget your adulting responsibilities and put on your comfy clothes because chores and sleep will evade you until you've read the last word...

This was not my favorite novel. I was not going to finish it, but I powered through. The first 2/3 was boring. The last 1/3 kept me interested.

This is one of those stories I raced through to see who done it, and a little more than halfway in, figured it out. I still enjoyed seeing all the threads finally weave together toward an agreeable ending.
Lily is that perfect person we all know, impossible. Her producer's role is both crucial and breeds the inevitable resentment that tie them together.
Using information from a secretive and anonymous source has propelled their career to great heights until things change. With clues from her past that only someone very close to her could know, Lily suddenly is confronted with a possible answer to the disappearance of her sister many years ago. But this solution presents several layers of risk. to her career, her daughter and her peace of mind. But the truth is irresistible and they follow the leads.
Once I gathered what I believed would be the story, it was more fun to follow the action but I never really saw the purpose of Greer.
This is a fun end of the day read, 3.5 stars

Hank Phillippi Ryan's latest provides it all--page-turning suspense, well-drawn three-dimensional characters, and a twisty-turny plot that keeps readers guessing. It's no wonder she's a multi-award winning author. Highly recommend this book as well as Hank's backlist. #HerPerfectLife #HankPhillippiRyan

It seems like everyone wants to keep people from knowing their inner most secrets. Especially our main character Lily Atwood. Her life seems perfect in every aspect, Emmy awards, beauty, a cute daughter, a dog, a Nanny, a producer that helps her keep things that way, but no ones life could possibly be that perfect. What secrets lie in Lily's past that could hinder her perfect image? You'll have to read the book to find out!

A television journalist seems to live the perfect life. Behind the scenes her producer works to keep that perception. The journalist, Lily, has a daughter and missing sister. She often wonders why her sister disappeared and whether she’s still alive Should Lily start searching for her sister or is it better not knowing?

As Lily grapples with this dilemma, other events occur that further complicate her life. Someone is sending her flowers and her producer is missing. What will happen next?

Murder, corruption, and fractured family ties are the elements that Lily must deal with. Hank Philippi Ryan has crafted a thrilling, exciting story that will keep you up all night. Her characters are fascinating, flawed, and so realistic.

This psychological thriller won’t disappoint. I recommend this book to all thriller fans - you will enjoy it!

This is Hank Phillippi Ryan at her best! I was hooked on the first page and could not put this book down. So many twists and turns with characters you will never forget. I thought I had it figured out, but NOPE- just like her other books, you’ll never guess what’s coming. A must read!

BOOK REVIEW
HER PERFECT LIFE
Sandra Dethlefsen

Hank Phillippi Ryan never disappoints. Her Perfect Life has the makings of another one of her blockbuster stories. Lily Atwood has an idyllic life. Fame, fortune, shelves full of Emmys, and a beautiful seven-year-old daughter. Lily becomes terrified when she discovers that someone is digging into her past life, threatening to uncover things that will ruin her if made public.
Lily’s fight to keep her world from falling apart leads to a shocking, suspense novel that never stops. The characterization is phenomenal. The story is full of neverending twists and turns, and just when you might think you know what’s happening in the end, you’ll never guess. I know I didn’t. A fantastic, end of the summer read.

Although this book had a slow start, with building up with an emotional start with some family drama, missing family members, the end totally blew my mind. I hadn't anticipated the end, which made it all the more a worthwhile read.

I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters be it the too perfect Lily or her workaholic sneaky producer Greer.

The twist in the end was well done, with a powerful emotional factor.

Thanks to NetGalley and to MacMillan - Tor/Forge for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
