This book is too cute. Seriously, who gave it the right?
Themepark princess meets an actual prince and gets to show him and his actual princess daughter around the park for a few days? Freakin adorable.
I seriously could not get enough of this book. It clearly did not take itself too seriously (you gotta have a sense of humor and go with the flow as a theme park princess, after all) and therefore approached this world with the exact right level of responsibility and fun.
Watched the two princess (real and pretend) bond was beautiful, and "Princess Sweetpea" had some perfect ideas for birthday fun, overcoming fears, and dealing with grief.
And of course, no fairytale story is complete without a prince. A flawed prince who wants to do what's best for his country and his daughter, while still struggling with the loss of his wife.

So beautiful. So much fun.

Once Upon a Royal Summer by Teri Wilson is a wonderful, light, sweet, romantic, and sunny romance that I loved from beginning to end.

I am a huge fan of Hallmark romances (books and movies) and Teri Wilson, so of course I had to read this newest book. I loved it!

Ms. Wilson has a true talent in weaving a narrative that is romantic, realistic, and truly engaging. I loved Lacey and Henry. The commoner and royalty meeting upon neutral grounds, overcoming the logistics and respective responsibilities and expectations, and finding true love is one of my favorite plots, and Ms. Wilson pulled it off flawlessly. Both were likable, realistic, and imperfect. Both bring out the best in one another and make each other happy. A narrative that is breezy and fun, but honest and down to earth, and an ending that is perfect.

I couldn’t ask for a better romance.

Such a sweet and funny and slightly heartbreaking romance!
I just adored Lacey and Henry and Rose. And the BFFs Ava and Ian too.
The first half of the book we're at the fairy tale park, and then we all go to Bella-Moritz to mayybe find that fairy tale happily ever after? We'll see. 😍
I really enjoyed reading this. Cute, adorable. Just really sweet and beautiful.

It's Hallmark, not HBO - so don't go in expecting a sexy romance. 🤣
If I may s p o i l a tiny bit ... the first kiss basically happens in the very last sentence of the book. But still - even though I like my romances very sexy - I really enjoyed reading this one!

“Once upon a royal summer” is a true Hallmark novel! You feel all of the themes and all of the love, as you would normally from Hallmark.

Lacey plays a princess at a fairytale theme park, and she is loving it. This is her dream job, and she could not wish for more. Her family, however, does not seem to agree with her on the fact that her job is all about pretending to be a princess. But does a princess always meet a prince, and do they live happily ever after? Henry, the crown prince of Bella-Moritz, just wants to live a normal life, but is Lacey the right woman to fill in the hole from his lost wife.

This is just a typical, cute and cheesy story. A wanting-to-be princess, who is living out her dream, as she meets a real prince. What else would you expect from Hallmark? An it is perfect!

The book is straightforward, there is not much drama, and it is more or less just a cute love story, that will make you feel good.

Romance, family, friendship and love. That is what you get from this novel. The story moves slowly forward, and you are guided slowly all the way through the story. The language is furthermore classy and simple.

The characters are charming, and you will love them instantly. They are over the top in the best way possible. And they are absolutely adorable.

Once Upon a Royal Summer is a cute little romance where the MC, a princess in a themed park, finally meets her real life Prince Charming. It's an easy read without much drama. I usually like romances with a bit much angst but this one was nice nonetheless. I had a good time wich is what you're looking for in a book right ?

Once Upon A Royal Summer is published by Hallmark.... that should have been clue #1 for how the story will go.
I was not paying attention so I was a bit caught off guard by the cliche, cheesy, almost borderline immature content. If this were a Hallmark movie, it would be a hit. And it would be marked "E for Everyone." There are no risqué scenes, very minimal (if any at all) poor language, and the whole book has a very "disney-esque'" feel to it. If you're expecting a little more grit and heat, this is not where you'll find it. If you're looking for a wholesome, feel-good, easy read - this is it!

Is this the typical plot of an American girl meeting a handsome man, who just happens to be a Prince from some obscure European country?.....Yes. Does it only take a week for them to fall in love and decide that this is the person they are meant to spend the rest of their lives with?.....Yes. Does said Prince have a mother (Queen) who is about duty and disapproves of the 'commoner' her son loves?......Yes. (Why is it NEVER the Father/King that is the stumbling block?) Is the ending predictable.....Most definitely yes.

Yet.....I loved it. I'm a sucker for these Royal/Commoner romances. This story was "charming" & light-hearted. There are no characters that are unlikeable & the author throws in a cute, unspoiled little royal for flavor. The setting of a fairy tale themed amusement park provides a fun atmosphere. This is a very quick, entertaining, easy read--easily polished off in an afternoon.

I never read a Hallmark book before, so I decided to give it a try. It felt cheesy and cute, this could have been a Hallmark movie. The last few chapters felt a little rushed and the ending was kinda predictable.

Any fan of Disney princesses is going to love this book! Our protagonist is a young lady who works as a princess, bringing happiness to children as a result of her childhood. She runs into a real-world prince and his daughter, both of whom could use some happiness, and the Hallmark-ness ensues. (I'm declaring that a word.) This is going to be such an adorable, heart-warming movie when they film it!

I loved this book. I adore how Hallmark books always seem to be a quick reads for me. I loved every part of this book, I literally read it all the way through without putting it down. The characters are all well developed and honestly I'd love to see a second book from Lacey's best friends perspective as she finds love. It sort of made me believe in prince charming again. It also showed me that you should never judge someone by their job choice because you don't know why they are doing it. It could have a deeper meaning than you'll ever know.

'Once Upon a Royal Prince' is like watching a Hallmark romance movie: you know what you're in for, but you enjoy it just the same and can't help but have a smile on your face the whole time as you read.

Not everyone understands the job in the same way. Even though Lacey's job isn't the perfect job for many people, but for her it's the best she could have found working as a princess in a theme park. And one day she meets a single dad who happens to be a real prince.

Let's see, I must start with the basis that obviously this book is super cloying and has nothing groundbreaking, plus the story is typical. But knowing that up front, I enjoyed it a ton. It was literally like watching a Hallmark movie but in book form and I loved that.

Being what it is, the story isn't a super novel, nor do I think it has a whole lot of things that make it stand out in an original way over other novels. I mean, it's a very cliché story. But that's not a bad thing either because in the end I know what I'm looking for when I read a novel like this and I like to read a novel just for the sake of reading it and enjoying it.

I also have to say that you can't expect this book to be exactly a believable story, in the sense that things happen that are quite improbable but knowing the kind of book you're going to read I don't think that's something that influences much.

I also really liked the author's way of narrating. I think it is very simple and I also found it very fairytale-like, so it is perfect for the type of book that this novel is.

Once upon a royal summer is a feel-good romance that, overall, delivers on its promise of a sweet, heartwarming love story with a whimsical royal touch.

Of course, it is cliché and unrealistic, but it is right in the current trend of fairytale royal fantasies that’s been floating in the air in the past few years, now that the British royal family is popular again. I was only confused about the mention of a « queen » next to the word « principality », but it is a mere technicality.

The author does offer a lovely royal chick lit that would surely make a cute Hallmark movie. A delicious cheesy treat if you’re looking for an easy, fun read on the beach this summer!

I am a big sucker for the prince falling in love with the commoner trope so naturally, when I saw this book I knew immediately that I had to read it. Once Upon A Royal Summer by Teri Wilson has all the wonderful things I have come to expect from a Hallmark book or movie: lovable characters, a sweet romance, and a big emphasis on friendship, family, and community. Lacey and Henry were likable and relatable characters and their journey to a happy ending was a lot of fun to read about. My only complaint is that it went by way too quickly. Highly recommend this sweet cozy romance.

This book was exactly what I wanted to read. Once Upon a Royal Summer is a hallmark book written, and it was just like a hallmark movie. It was super sweet and cute, and I loved the romance.
Lacey was such a sweet character. She loved her job and the people she interacted with. I loved Lacey from the beginning. She was kind, and she was funny. I liked how she was grounded and how she cared for people. It was so fun to see her interacting with Rose and Henry. She did have her faults and she never felt like she would really be enough for Henry.
Ohh I felt so bad for Henry, he was lonely and he didn't know how to raise his daughter. He wanted Rose to have a good life, but he was struggling to figure out how to let her be a kid while still preparing her for the life ahead of her. He was more shy but he really cared for Rose and it was super sweet to read about him falling for Lacey.
Henry and Lacey had such a fun and cute romance. I liked reading about them falling in love and getting to know each other. They met at the theme park and as they spent more time together, they began wishing for more. Henry’s daughter was super sweet and she loved Lacey from the beginning. Books with children are often so much fun! However will Lacey be able to endure the life of a royal or is she meant to stay at the theme park for life?
Once Upon a Royal Summer was a clean contemporary read! It was just what I expected and I loved it! I would recommend this is you are looking for a light clean read.

Hallmark never seems to disappoint with its published books. Heartwarming and interesting!

This was a delightful read! It's the kind of book you want to curl up with your favourite snacks and drinks and read on a miserable day because it is filled with sunshine. The characters are all likeable and while the ending is predictable, it's a lovely journey to get there. Just what you'd expect from a Hallmark movie.

This is a clean read and a standalone book. I got it given to me in exchange for an honest review. It's easy to be positive about it because it was a nice book to escape into.
