Once Upon a Royal Summer is an insanely cute fairytale romance that will make your heart sing. Teri Wilson charmed my socks off with this tale of a theme park princess who falls for a real life prince.
Lacey has her dream job in playing Princess Sweet Pea at Once Upon a Time, a popular Florida theme park. Her reasons for it broke my heart but also showed Lacey’s nature: she’s kind, compassionate, and so sweet. Many people don’t understand why she loves what she does, but that doesn’t dim her sunny, funny nature. Henry, crown prince of Bella-Moritz is a widower with a daughter who he wants to give a chance to be a regular child. Their trip to Once Upon a Time is a break from reality for both of them. Rose is immediately captivated by Princess Sweet Pea…and so is Henry. With Lacey playing tour guide for the royals, it’s easy for both father and daughter to become attached. Rose is just precious and Henry is a real Prince Charming who loves his daughter and his people. The fact that Wilson can make a story so sweet without it becoming saccharine is a testament to her skill as a writer.
Once Upon a Royal Summer made me smile over and over again. It’s a kind, gentle book with a positive message that just warms your heart. A theme park princess shouldn’t be a match for real royalty and yet every step of the way Lacey is on equal footing with Henry. The two of them make a lovely pair and their modern-day fairytale romance made me smile and sigh. I adored Once Upon a Royal Summer from beginning to end; it’s definitely a story I’ll revisit whenever I need sunshine and sweetness in my life.

I am posting an honest review after reading an advance reader copy of this story.
I'm giving a rare, very rare, 5 stars to Once Upon A Royal Summer. Ms. Wilson has hit it out of the park. The lead characters are adorable, funny and loveable. The little girl, Rose, is so sweet it makes your teeth hurt. I love the setting for the story, a theme park. Once Upon A Story is a fairy tale theme park, they come to life in the characters & rides. Our lead female is playing Princess Sweet Pea, she's the big hit at the park. I want to visit this wonderful place, ride every ride, and have a tea party with the princess in her castle. I'll also take the handsome, lonely prince from a foreign country, but speaks English, that's important for my prince. He needs a mother for his daughter and a princess for himself. If Princess Sweet Pea doesn't work out I'm available. Have suitcase, will move to the South of France.

I thought Lacey and Henry's romance was an absolute delight! The well written storyline is a enticing combination of pure fairytale and real life reality that delivered maximum swoon and plenty of feels. I thought both main characters were very likable and I loved them as a couple. While not every reader will relate to wishing and dreaming of being a princess, I do believe that every reader can relate to the challenge of embracing your own dream, having to deal with the disapproval of others over it and just simply daring to embrace what makes you truly happy. This read is sweet, cute, funny, emotional and heartfelt. I totally adored it! I am posting a forthright review of my own accord. #OnceUponARoyalSummer #NetGalley

A perfect summer read - This is my second Teri Wilson, and certainly not my last. This story follows Lacey, a theme park princess, Prince Henry and his daughter Rose. While working at Once Upon a Time, Lacey is tasked with whisking the Prince and Princess around for the entirety of their stay. With loveable, relatable characters, swoon worthy romance, and moments to make you laugh out loud, my only wish was that the story was longer.

This is such a sweet Cinderella-like story about a theme park princess and her prince charming. It's a fun, light, easy read that's so uplifting -- I thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely a Hallmark story!

A delightful, fun Hallmark royal romance. I love Hallmark films so this was just perfect. I wanted to visit this magical theme park, it sounded so much fun. I loved experiencing all the child like wonder of fairy tales and princesses. I still love it now.
This is a real life fairy tale, a theme park princess meets a real life prince. This is everything you expect from Hallmark. All the characters were just fantastic, and Rose is adorable. A heartwarming, feel good, summer escape. I hope that Hallmark decide to make it into a film.
Thank you to Netgalley and Hallmark Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A sweet beach read, Once Upon A Royal Summer is exactly what one would expect from a Hallmark book. A real prince meets a theme park princess and they fall in love. A typical on-brand storyline and yet, author Teri Wilson has added a pleasing depth to her characters that Hallmark movies often lack. What could easily have been a cotton-candy read becomes a truly enjoyable story with interesting characters, a plot that often drifts beyond the expected, and yes, even the happily-ever-after leaves readers feeling fulfilled. A book worth reading by the beach.

I loved this book so much I couldn’t stop reading it. I have already told all my HallmArk watching friends that they need to read the book or watch the movie if it ever becomes on. I am such a sucker for this genre. These stories are always my go-to when I need a break from reality.
Henry is the real prince of Bella-Moritz and he invites a theme park princess to visit him at his castle. Lacey’s job choice is less than desirable to her ex and his family, but she does her job for a reason and not one you’d expect.
I’ve already added all of the movies based on this troupe to my Netflix queue. Now that my review Isco needs - let me indulge a little more!

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Such a fun and cute book. Hallmark never disappoints whenever I’m in the mood for a happy, “feel good”, corny love story....add some royalty and it’s even better. I really hope Hallmark decides to make this one into a movie. I love to visualize actors/actresses from previous Hallmark movies while I’m reading a Hallmark book. So for this one, I would cast Brittany Bristow as Lacey and Cameron Mathison as Henry! Loved both of these characters...they made me smile from beginning to end!
Pub date for this one is tomorrow, June 15th and I highly recommend picking up a copy. Thanks to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

Rose is a real life princess. Having lost her mother at a young age, she is having some difficulty recently on the edge of her seventh birthday. Her father, HRH Henry, decides to take her on a holiday to America. There he schedules a four day trip to an amusement park built around fairy tales. Lacey, aka Princess Sweet Pea, is assigned to be their tour guide over the duration of their stay. Sparks fly between Lacey and Henry.
Opinion
This story is completely magical and the ideal fairy tale for adults who loved them as a child. The sweet, slow romance between Henry and Lacey is adorable. This book will allow a time travel back to childhood.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Readers will agree that Teri Wilson is simply magical. She has crafted a very grown-up fairy tale with a unique mashup of a Walt Disney World-style vacay, your favorite real-life royal family, and hints of Grace Kelly era-Monaco. Wilson is one of the only authors who can pull off this kind of genre blending, with actually unlikely leads who are very actually made for one another. The authentic secondary characters will have readers pleading with Hallmark to adapt it for their Summer Nights movie line up. A must for everyone needing a matinee idol hero devoted to his daughter, adorable witty banter with a theme-park princess, a pint of sunshine, and a whole lotta heart.
Includes a delightfully cooling recipe for Cucumber Dill Tea Sandwiches

Perfect way to start summer with a new story featuring a royal romances. Once Upon A Royal Summer by Teri Wilson is very enjoyable. The story will take you to a theme park where the main character, Lacey has the best job being a royal princess. She meets her real prince and his daughter at the princess tea. The story has all the elements, you will laugh, enjoy all the characters, royal balls and travel. Huge thanks to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for allowing me to listen and review this book.

I lost my heart but I found my smile. Wilson pulled me into a confection of sweetness sprinkled with a hint of spice. Poignant, humorous and irresistible come together to create a savory story of heartache and hope. Once Upon a Royal Summer speaks to the dreamer that lives inside of every heart and soul.

I received an arc of this title in exchange for an honest review. This book is absolutely adorable. I hope they eventually make it a movie on hallmark because it's that cute. Lacey works as a princess for a theme park where she happens to meet a real prince and gets to spend several days showing him and his daughter around the theme park where they fall in love. This is very much a fairytale romance book and it's worth the read. It's a quick read full of happy squeals and cute interactions. A dream come true.

When an amusement park princess meets a real-life prince, there's a spark, but fairy tales don't come true, do they?
For one week, "Princess Sweet Pea" Lacey is the private tour guide for Prince Henry and his delightful daughter, Princess Rose. A magical time spent together, Henry and Rose could live life without the weight of royal duties as they are treated to an adventurous time by Lacey in the fantasy kingdom in a theme park. But all good things must come to an end, until an invitation to a royal ball!
The attraction felt real, an almost-kiss, and a trip to the kingdom of Bella-Moritz, complete with a borrowed dress from Lacey's "fairy godmother." But was it real, were the feelings mutual, and do commoners really meet a prince and have the Happy Ever After?
This sweet romance delivers on dreams coming true in a modern storybook tale, if only you believe in love, kindness, and possibilities.

Once Upon A Royal Summer is such a sweet heartwarming read by Teri Wilson. The role reverse is wonderful in this book where real life Prince is going for “normal” and real life “normal” is playing Princess.
Lacey is a lovely character who enjoys her career as a fairytale theme park princess. What is not to like about this woman who enjoys making children feel special and bringing smiles to their faces. It takes someone special to make this more than just a job. The Henry is a single father who has much on his shoulders as crown prince but is such an amazing father too. You can’t help but want these two to find the Hallmark Happily-ever-after.
Perhaps some would say it is predictable with the usual obstacles in the way of the romance. It also has those unlikable personalities in the story too, such as Mark who the reader meets early in the story. “Happily-ever after” with love winning is always welcome in my reads. It is a story that will leave you with a smile on your face. The recipe is an added bonus which is one I haven’t heard of in a long time.
An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book is perfect for the Hallmark brand. It's a twist on a modern fairytale. Lacey plays a princess character at a popular theme park and truly loves her job, even if other people think it's childish. When Henry, a real crown-prince brings his daughter to the park posing as regular tourists, sparks fly. Lacey connects with his daughter Rose and their connection helped make this book feel authentic. Who doesn't love a happily ever after. I just wished the ending wasn't so rushed.

Once Upon a Royal Summer by Teri Wilson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this super sweet story about finding love while staying true to yourself. Who doesn’t love a happily ever after💕

What else can you expect from a Hallmark book but the perfect romance. Oh man did this book provide that. Just absolutely splendid. I loved the characters and I loved the development. I truly loved that the queen becomes in essence the fairy godmother. And while I know what to expect of a Hallmark story, this one just was so enduring. Really a great read. One I will for sure talk up with patrons who are looking for a lovely romance. Thank you so very much for allowing me to read an advance copy.

This a lovely story to get immersed in and enjoy watching a modern day romance unfold between a theme park princess and a real life prince. Prince Henry is on vacation in Florida with Rose, his young daughter, where they meet Lacey as "Princess Sweet Pea." Lacey's boss' boss' boss asks Princess Sweet Pea to show the VIPs around the park along with Ian, Henry's personal guard, for their time at the park. It is fun to watch the chemistry between Lacey and Rose and then Henry and Lacey bloom into a special friendship. Because Lacey lost her mom at an early age, she has devoted her life to making others happy for a little while and she can relate to the motherless child. So for a few days they spend quality time in the special make believe world of an amusement park. When Henry invites Lacey to visit his kingdom of Bella-Moritz on the French Riviera for a special festival, she cannot believe it. Her roommate and best friend even gets invited. But they are just friends, right? This is a sweet and delightful way to escape into a world of fairy tales where the heart makes decisions, not the head. Expect to smile a lot, especially at the charming ending.
I received a complimentary ARC from Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.
