Scarred by Eva Winners is a good fit for readers who crave a thrilling and passionate romance that combines the dark and adventurous elements of a mafia romance with a strong and emotional storyline, perfect for those who enjoy complex characters, steamy scenes, and a touch of danger.
I see I am in the minority here but I just didn't like this book. I found it to be very repetitious. Also, none of the characters were realistic or appealing to me.
This book was so good and kept you on your toes wondering what was going to happen next. Niko and Olivia mad each great couple couple. He was so loving g and patient with her. I cannot wait to read more from the other two couples.
Nikolai and Olivia are a power team! Olivia was sold to be married to a monster. She was sold by her abusive father to an even more abusive man. It is the same man that killed Nikolai’s sister so he is out for revenge. When he meets Olivia, he vows to always protect her. I am in love with this series. Opinions are my own. Book provided by NetGalley for my honest opinion and review.
Olivia’s father is in debt. To buy himself out, he has sold his daughter to the devil, Malcome. Malcome is vile and evil but Olivia cannot find a way away from him. Nikolai has a reason to hate Malcome and intends to bring about his demise. When he “kidnaps” Olivia to get her away from him, he realizes how special she is.
Opinion
Holy hot tamales Batman! This book has it all. Hot alpha man, danger at every turn a strong female lead and chemistry that is off the charts are all included in this book.
This is book two and I’d suggest you read book one first. Spoiler alert: it’s as awesome as this one and there is a third book out.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.
A fast-paced romantic suspense with plenty of action in and out of the bedroom! I loved how both main characters exhibited both strength and vulnerability. They certainly both had their demons and I was glad in the end to see the resolution for the one demon. #netgalley #scarred
I love books about the Mafia, Russian or otherwise. Protective men and strong women always make for a good story. This is the second book and I will go back and read the first one of the series, I enjoyed it that much. The romance part heated up pretty quickly, which I didn't think was necessary, but it didn't detract from the suspense of the story.. I hope to ready more about the peripherals players in the next books. You can't go wrong with this book.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for providing me with an arc of this book for my honest opinion.
NOOOOPE
This was so badly written, I had to DNF it quickly and move on. The writing doesn't flow, it's very annoying. Usually I sit it out and see if the writing improves along the way, but boyyy this was way too annoying to continue.
Although this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. The read was fast-paced and full of suspense. The romance had just the right amount of heat. Even though the romance escalated quickly, it was pretty believable (there were times I was thought things happened too quickly, but I was able to let those things go as they weren’t major for me). All in all, this was a great read and inspired me to track down the first book to see what happened with Olivia’s friend. I will definitely be sure to check out there third book when it is released!
This book is the 2nd book within the Russian SInners series, I haven't read the 1st book but every book in this series can be read as a standalone with ofc some tidbits from the book before. This time is about Olivia and Nikolai. As with the other mafia + hot billionaire stories, it's full of suspense here and there and also steamy moments between our MCs. This book was told in 2 POVs (I like it!), both from our MCs' perspective.
Thanks to Netgalley for the chance to get this eARC!
Wow this book was a great read! Totally unexcpected as Mafia Romances aren't usually my vibe but this story capitvated me start to finish. Nik and Olivia had such sizziling chemistry you could feel it leaping off the pages as you read each chapter. The twists and turns have you holding your breathe throughout the whole book. I love how interconnected this series has become.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for an arc of this book I beyond enjoyed it!
I'm so sad to say this, but i didn't like it...like at all.
I was blown away by the first book in the series that i was so hopeful for this one to be on the same level of awesomeness, but it was just disappointing.
First of all, this a replica of the first book, it even held the same sequence, the characters lusting after each other, each of them trying to glorify everything the other do, them being so insecure about their upbringing and demons, then them getting physical with vivid description that got quite boring because of the repetitive nature, and so on.
The characters were... boring, they just weren't likable to me, i kept comparing them to Dimitry and Anastasia, and let me tell you this, i wasn't favouring them.
The entire novel was so bland, then the author crammed a little bit of action at the very end, it felt like a last try to give the book a purpose, but it didn't work for me.

This story is about Olivia Fray and Nikolai Smirnov, it’s the second book of the Russian Sinners series but could be read as a standalone. The book is written with Olivia and Nikolai point of view.
The story deals with Olivia who was mentally and physically abused, and who is trying to regain her strength after she has escaped from her abuser. She finds that she has fallen instantly in love with Nikolai and his niece….
This is where I find an issue, the the love was INSTANT and a little too cliche. They couldn’t resist each other from the moment they saw each other. It had a great start but I believe that somewhere in the middle (where she was trying to make the character fall in love) the story got away.
This book does have a lot of Spiciness sprinkled everywhere and Nikolai sounds like a very sexy man but I was more interested in reading about Olivia mental journey.Spice was just an added bonus.
This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. Olivia is trapped in a relationship that she didn’t choose and Nikolai promised her best friend that he would do whatever he could to get her out of that horrible situation. Sparks begin to fly between them but can Olivia be sure that Nikolai isn’t life her father or her fiancé? Fast-paced emotional read with plenty of drama, suspense and steam. I really liked it.
I loved this book! I am so glad we got to see Olivia and Nikolai's love story come about. I have been waiting for this book ever since I read Marked. Although this book features a new couple, I would recommend reading Marked first to understand the conflict happening.
Olivia, with the help of Nikolai, is able to escape her abusive father and fiance. What first started off as a promise to his brother's wife turned out to be life changing. Both Olivia and Nikolai believed no one could love them because they had too many scars, both physical and emotional. Nikolai promises Olivia that she will never have to go back to those that hurt her ever again and will make them pay for what they have done.
I really enjoyed that we got to see characters from the previous book. This book was told in dual POV with little overlap in some scenes. We love reading about about a ruthless mafia man who will do anything for his woman. I also enjoyed the relief that Tasha brought in to break up the tense moments. Now to wait for Sergei and Scarlett's book!

Firstly thank you Netgalley for sending me the ARC Copy.
I like steamy romance sometimes and this was my first Russain Mufia Romance book. I really liked that, their attraction develops into an unbreakable bond, lust and on the opportunity cost of their happiness. This book started off pretty strong, but true somewhere near the middle to the end, it just got away from the author but still book had it's own grip with the readers.
If you like romance fictions, you will like this book undoubtedly.
This book is the second in the series. I loved looking back over parts of the first story from Olivia and Nikolai's perspective. This really helped get into the book as it freshened the plot
There wasn't as much suspense in this book compared to Marked but it still had me hooked! I read it in less than a day.
I just love how all the relationships are going and the story just sucks you in. I can't wait to read the next one to see where they all go from here.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
💋💋
This is book 2 in this series and it really helps if you read them in order as the story is a continuation of sorts.
This is Nikolai’s story, he’s paired with Olivia.
It’s dark and dangerous, disturbing and tense in parts as well as being pretty graphic.
I would think it could set off triggers for those who have suffered abuse both physically and emotionally, so be warned.
That said it’s brilliantly written and it’s very addictive reading.
As I said it’s dark, The Sinners being 3 brothers who have belonged to an arm of the Russian Mafia, now gone legal and running their own businesses .
Great books and exciting and entertaining reading .
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
I truly enjoyed this book a lot.
I hope to get more of a glimpse from both of them in other books. They were such an enjoyable couple to read, beautiful, understanding, communicative, trusting, and above all-loving. Tash made me laugh and I really wanted more of her as a character, it’s always nice having kids in a story. I would imagine Nik being flustered because of her first day in school. Or having to brush her hair.
I just want more of them and I think I’m re-reading this book.
Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for a review.
Wow wow wow!! This is Nikolai and Olivia book and is the second book in this series! And wow what a series! This is a mafia romance book, its filled with intrigue, suspense action, drama and plenty of heat! I did enjoy book one a little bit more but that's not saying anything against this book because they're both probably my favorite books that I've read this year!! This book had a bit of graphic torture that kind of made me queasy lol I'm kind of weird where a book will stay with me for days! Ill be at work and think of the poor girl that was tortured lmao or a sad book that type of thing but I still absolutely loved this book and series!! They are so so worth reading!! Definitely don't miss out on this book and series! Best books I've read this year!! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me! And a big thank you to Eva Winners for your amazing words!! You've got a lifelong reader!!
