If You've Got Mail were about clothing/fabrics rather than books, that would be the first part of this book. Add a fake relationship and a reluctant love interest and that's the rest!

London at the holidays seems like it might be magical but it really is for Victoria and Oliver. Both of them are involved in their own lives and pursuing their own dreams when they run into each other. Of course it’s kismet and as both of them fight it for their own reasons, as a reader you are rooting for them. You can tell they bring out the best in each other. Once they realize it, all bets are off.

I admit when I was offered the chance to read this book I was excited. The title and cover had me interested and then reading the write-up caught my attention. Not knowing anything about the author I dove into this book,

I found the book to be fun, delightful, and full of humor. It reminded me of the holiday comedies I enjoy watching during the holidays. The fun ones where things get sticky as the well-laid plan begins t fall apart.

The story flowed with ease and I felt the characters were well written. The story was fun and classic. The whole fake relationship turning real.

Victoria and Oliver were a cute pair. Though I know nothing about fashion I enjoyed reading about Victoria's life as a fashion designer. Oliver was your typical handsome hero.

Overall a really fun read for the holidays and I admit I would read more by this author if given the chance.

This book is a very cute holiday read and first in a series. If you are looking for a cozy little christmas romance, this is definitely one to check out. The main characters are fun and the setting is great!

This one started out slow for me but may just be because I'm sick.. however, it picked up a couple chapters in and I ended up loving it! Fake relationship with a billionaire? Check! Solid friendships? Check! Billionaire's not a jerk? Double check!! A perfect Christmas? Check! All the feels? Check!
I love their relationship from the very beginning when they meet to the very last page of the book! One detail ON the book not IN... The cover has a blond girl on it but Victoria has dark hair... her friend Zoe has blonde hair... just struck me as weird but didn't detract from the story at all!

This book is just simply charming. Fake engagement, friendships and chasing your dreams. I thought this was such a fun, feel-good book and would recommend for anyone looking for a little pick me up with a guaranteed happy ending! Such a delight to read with unique characters, stylish setting and the pull of will-they won't-they. THIS is my dream book to read! Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Books for this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you’re a romance fan then you have probably read a fake relationship books. The trope is common, so not exactly groundbreaking literature, but guaranteed fun nonetheless.

Regardless of the genre, Meet Me in London is a cute somewhat holiday centered romance. I wouldn’t say Christmas plays a huge role in this one, not like most holiday novels, but there’s a sort of background holiday hum. Honestly, this book could take place at any time of year.

The chemistry between the leads is perfectly done, especially once blended with the warmth of the characters own lives. Their family dynamics and professional lives had some really touching details that balanced the silliness of the premise of the main relationship. I loved some of the backstories weaved into the romantic relationship.

There are a few things I would have done a bit differently, as I wasn’t wowed by really any aspect of the story. Nothing seemed particularly new or fresh and the instalove left me a little confused.

Conclusion
This is a delightfully distracting romantic comedy that fans of the genre are likely to enjoy.

A feel-good book, perfect to read on a snowy night in December. :)

Victoria is a designer. She works at the bar in Chelsea and teaches design classes for young people. She has dreams of one day having her own boutique.

Down the street, they are building a new department store. Small store owners on the block are worried about losing business, not to mention the manager is very, very rude.

Oliver Russell's family's new department story is behind the schedule. His job is to be there and sort it out. On top of that, his family is pushing him to settle down. With his father being sick, he can't tell them he is single, so he asks Victoria to pretend to be his girlfriend, to make his parents happy. But the more time they spend together, the more those fake feelings become a reality.

It's just the sweetest story, I loved reading it! And now it's the perfect time for something heartwarming and cute. :)

Highly recommend it!

I definitely get the holiday romance vibes in this story with the setting of London and the department store. I can picture Christmas in London being very romantic!

Victoria as a character has some sad history, she’s struggling to make her dreams come true as a fashion designer. On the other hand, Oliver is a wealthy business man who conveniently is helping his family open up a new department store – I think you can guess how this one plays out!

The romance is predictable because it’s a fake dating story so we already know what happens there but they had good chemistry in and outside of the bedroom. You definitely see the attraction grows since they have to pretend to be engaged.

RANDOM NOTES~~
Content Warnings: accident trauma

I didn’t connect to the characters and the story was quite predictable but it’s a quick, holiday romance read so I took it for what it was.

FINAL THOUGHTS~~
Why you should read it:
*holiday romance story
*fake dating trope
*Christmas setting in London

Why you might not want to read it:
*predictable

My Thoughts:

This one wasn’t for me even though I think it would make a really good holiday romance movie on Hallmark channel or Netflix. It’s got the setting and story right for a holiday romance, I just wish I could connect more to the characters.

I read this a month ago, and I have no strong feelings about this one way or the other. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it enough to recommend it strongly. I honestly don’t really remember it, so I guess I’d describe it as forgettable? I mean... If you can get it on Hoopla from your library, I’d say listen to it if you are in the mood for a fake dating/fake fiance holiday book.

Thanks to @NetGalley and Harlequin for my ARC!

This was a fun read. I really liked the characters. It was nice that Victoria had an issue that isn’t really talked about much in books. Enjoyed it!

The perfect feel good read. It is set just before Christmas but the holidays are not a large part of the story. It is a story about love and forgiveness both of themselves and others.

The story took a few surprise turns and I loved it. The ending of this book is predictable but the excitement is reading the journey throughout the book.

Aspiring clothes designer Victoria Scott is an aspiring designer, who spends her days working in a bar in Chelsea, and her evenings designing vintage clothes. Oliver Russell is in Chelsea to take over the opening of the family's newest store that his cousin has bungled. Neither of them are interested in dating due to things in their pasts, but they agree to a fake relationship that will benefit them both.

I really enjoyed Meet Me in London. It was an enjoyable and fun story. I enjoyed the fake girlfriend/fiancée trope. Both Victoria and Oliver are likable characters who want to help others. Oliver's family has always wanted him to take over for his father, but it is not what he wants. Now that his father is having health problems, he steps up. I liked his mother and how she wants him to be happy, thinking he just needs to find the right person to love. Victoria wants to help the neighbourhood businesses as well as the design students she works with, so this fake relationship benefits her, but when she starts falling for Oliver, she needs to get out fast. The way they interact and hide their feelings towards one another is so cute. This is an enjoyable Christmas romance with other issues included. Themes deal with infertility, family pressure, guilt, jealousy and fall out from secrets. Of course there is a happily ever after, so even though it is not all smiles along the way, there is an uplifting and happy ending. I definitely recommend this one to those looking for a fun and enjoyable Christmas read.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Meet Me in London was a wonderfully cute contemporary romance that used London to its full advantage! You feel like you are walking the streets of London (and Paris) and Oliver and Victoria are fantastic protagonists that you will want to root for. My only slight issue is that I would have liked slightly more of Victoria's back story, it felt like we got more of Oliver's. However, still a wonderful read!
I would recommend this book to people who like a little bit of the holidays, but not a ton- Christmas doesn't really factor in for Meet Me in London.

This was such a cute read. I've never really thought of myself as a fan of fake dating/fiancées, but after this book, I may very well be one.
I loved Victoria, her simple life, and her desire to be nothing more then just happy. That girl has trust issues though, and rightly so, but she needs to stop getting in her own way. That whole aspect irked me just a wee bit. Oliver is super sweet and I enjoyed his character development through out the book. He grew up with money, but he knew what things were important. A refreshing change from the cocky jerk billionaires you always read about.
The friendship aspect of this book was so great and so unexpected. I loved all of Victoria's Lost Hours friends and that special bond they have. There support system for each other is something every woman wants to have in their life.
I also enjoyed that fact that while there was talk of sexual desires it never went into explicit details.
I really enjoyed this one and can't wait to get my hands on book 2.
I received this ebook from the publisher in return for a fair and honest review.

Trigger Warnings:

The cover and title on top of the synopsis appealed to me so much. It's such a perfect combination of what appeals to me heading into the winter months.
I wasn't in love with this book for the bulk of my read and listen. It seemed to me like the chemistry and general feelings of attraction between the MC's took precedence over character and plot arc depth. I do have to say that the ending was very sweet. Had the middle of the book carried a similar set of feels for me, I would have devoured this easily in one sitting.
I mostly listened to the audiobook and was surprised that it was narrated by the author, which seems rather uncommon. I thought her passion for her work came through clearly. I think that she could do great things and I'm interested to see what she writes in the future.
Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for the advanced copy and Harper Audio for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.

Like a warm blanket on a cold winter’s eve, this book wrapped me in cozy layers. The character development is excellent; Victoria and Oliver’s personalities became so real, little by little. A fantastic addition to my annual Christmas favourites.

I so wanted to love this book and there were parts of it that I really did enjoy reading. First of all, LOVE the cover. It's super cute and immediately got my attention. I think that the story between Oliver and Victoria had so much potential and I was really rooting for this couple. I think they were perfect for each other.

As someone who dealt with infertility, this was a somewhat hard read and I wish I would have known about the trigger warnings beforehand. As someone who couldn't have children, this book really hit me with all of the feels. Victoria's emotions and issues with this are raw and emotional. I felt the author did a good job talking about what she was going through.

I just wish that the accident was dragged on so much. Yes, I know it's a huge part of her story, I don't' know. Something just got to be repetitive about it.

Fans of Josie Silver's One Day in December and Christina Lauren's In a Holidaze will adore watching Victoria and Oliver's pretend engagement dissolve as their very real chemistry threatens to upend all their carefully laid-out secrets. Set against the most charming London backdrop, Meet Me in London is an irrisistable seasonal treat!
This is not the type of book I normally read and this was also not the book for me.
I cannot recommend it.
