What better way to plan for your TBR than this book? I certainly cannot think of one. If you are looking for an all-in-one preview and synopsis of upcoming, must-have books, then this is the book for you. Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy.

Great way to preview what is coming. Thanks. I do get a little frustrated trying to addd it to the Adobe Digital editions. Wish that was easier. Its too small to read on my phone in the Netgalley app.

Buzz Feeds combines the information about to be published books - which is not always easy to come by - with excerpts that are long enough to give the potential reader a good sense of what he's getting into. Check out this mind blowing piece published by reviewer Mal Warwick.

"According to the latest Bowker Report (September 7, 2016), more than 700,000 books were self-published in the U.S. in 2015, which is an incredible increase of 375% since 2010. And the number of traditionally published books had climbed to over 300,000 by 2013 according to the latest Bowker figures (August 5, 2014). The net effect is that the number of new books published each year in the U.S. has exploded by more than 600,000 since 2007, to well over 1 million annually. At the same time, more than 13 million previously published books are still available through many sources.

But Steve’s article referred only to books that were recently published and in the English language. Taking another look at the piece, I began to wonder how many books have been published in the whole world, in every language.

Well, Google has an answer to that, of course! As of August 5, 2010, that number stood at 129,864,880. Staggering, isn’t it?

As you’re probably aware, Google Books has been scanning books in enormous numbers for many years now, as have many libraries. Google reported in October 2015 that the total number of titles scanned was over 25 million. The company intends to scan all 130,000,00!

If you’re thinking of writing a book, you might keep these numbers in mind. Getting anybody’s attention with a book these days is a tall order."

I love reading each edition of Buzz Books. I always find many (usually too many!) titles to add to my TBR list, and the samples of upcoming publications definitely whets my appetite to read some of the books that will soon be published. These sneak peeks are great. (In this edition, I especially enjoyed the sneak peeks of The Saints of Swallow Hill, Small Things Like These, and Friends Like These, and each of these book is now on my TBR list.) Buzz Books is simply a fantastic resource for upcoming publications, and I look forward to each season's new edition.

Always love the Buzz Books samplers. I can't wait to see all that will be released later in the year!

This book is a sampler of forthcoming novels, and as such was quite a treat to read through. There are some excellent extracts within, although of course not all of them will be for everyone. If you want a sneak peak of some new book, pick up a copy now. Looking forward to reading Richard Osman’s next book.

Buzz Books 2021 is a treasure-trove of what readers value the most: substantial excerpts from a curated selection of dozens of the most highly-touted books scheduled for publication this fall and winter.

I am particularly interested in:
• Mitch Albom, The Stranger in the Lifeboat (Harper)
• Lauren Groff, Matrix (Riverhead)
• Claire Keegan, Small Things Like These (Grove Press)
• Kimberly McCreight, Friends Like These (Harper)
• Richard Osman, The Man Who Died Twice (Pamela Dorman Books)
• Ruth Ozeki, The Book of Form and Emptiness (Viking)
• Bisi Adjapon, The Teller of Secrets (HarperVia)
• Jessamine Chan, School For Good Mothers (Simon & Schuster)
• Amanda Jayatissa, My Sweet Girl (Berkley)
• Eva Jurczyk, Department of Rare Books and Special Collections (Poisoned Pen Press)
• James Kennedy, Dare to Know (Quirk Books)
• Matthew Pearl, The Taking of Jemima Boone (Harper)

Mildly interested in:
• Patti Callahan, Once Upon A Wardrobe (Harper Muse)
• Donna Everhart, The Saints of Swallow Hill (Kensington)
• Noah Hawley, Anthem (Grand Central)
• Lorena Hughes, The Spanish Daughter (Kensington)
• Tiphanie Yanique, Monster in the Middle (Riverhead)

Any books not mentioned means I have no interest at all at this time.

Given me some great ideas for my Wishlist Wednesday and Spotlight Sunday posts for my blog along even more books to add to my want to read lists. Great way to sample a few books without committing to reading the full book.

I enjoy how this book gives an overview of upcoming books and how the sections are broke down in order to find specific genres. Looking forward to reading some of the books reviewed in this book.

This publication has become a personal semi-annual gift. It provides an opportunity for me to sample works from both veteran and debut authors and enables me to list titles to search for in the upcoming months. I have already received my first request! Fall and winter choices are looking good.

Just a lot of similar books in this edition. Disappointing, but I’m sure someone will find something they liked.

I look forward to the Buzz Books Catalog every season. There's always a few (okay... a LOT) of books that get added to my TBR whenever I get one. Just from the excerpts I know I have a lot to look forward to later this year. Some highlights from the Fall/Winter 2021 edition -- David Attenborough's The Living Planet; Mary Roach's Fuzz; Neil Bradbury's A Taste for Poison; Robby Krieger's Set the Night on Fire; C. M. Kushins's Beast: John Bonham and the Rise of Led Zeppelin, and novels by Louise Penny, Jo Nesbo, Michael Connelly and so many more... It's gonna be a good year. Thanks as always to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch Buzz Books for making these available!
