The story is quite interesting, but it's hard to listen to. The AI hasn't caught up yet to the needed inflections and proper breaks in places in sentences. So as a voice galley, the tech there needs a bit more work. The story itself seems like a good one, but I can't give it the full consideration I would like as my attention was broken so often trying to put together broken sentences.

There's a flood, and a mama Panda trying to save herself, her mate, and her babies. It starts off with a good bit of action, as these animals are pretty close to all being washed away or plunging to their deaths from the altering landscape caused by the flooding.

I would like to hear it with a non-AI narration, or read a copy. It seems to have a good bit of potential.

The actual recording hasn't been created yet so I'm just reviewing the book. The story is good and there's intrigue action, and adventure. And I like that it's also about climate change affecting animals.

As a 20yr old never did I think this was something I needed in my life. But I DID. This book initially caught my eye as I recognised the author from The Warriors series, but as a kid I never read it. Now as a 20yr old whose favourite animal is the panda and who has had FOMO over the ever acclaimed cat series I was so happy reading this new series.I can see young readers really enjoying this new edition. Although, I did find it a bit difficult not necessarily remembering the characters names, but distinguishing the characters names from other characters / the natural environmental elements. But maybe it’s because I’m not the exact target demographic, or maybe the audiobook format wasn't the best reading experience for me. Definitely want to reread once I can get a physical copy in my hands.

*Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for an audiobook copy of Bamboo Kingdom by Erin Hunter in exchange for an honest review*

I listened to this book and I think it was harder than reading it. From the very beginning it was full of suspense. As the story continued, the characters kept coming and I would not understand for parts of many chapters who was who. I have read other books by Ms. Hunter and this is by far the most complex. As an adult this is complicated, I wonder what kids this is geared to can understand. As a former Librarian, I saw kids stop reading from an author if it was not clear

I used to love Erin Hunter as a kid and her survivors series was my absolute favorite for years so I knew I had to give this book a chance. This has a lot of the key elements of a Hunter book as well as the charm. My only major problem with this book is the same as it is with most of her book: there are way to many characters. I am grown adult and I struggle to keep track of every character so I can't imagine how frustrating it is for a younger kid. Her book and characters are always really great but I just feel like you never really get a chance to fall in love with anyone because there are just way way to many. Otherwise this is a solid book perfect for Hunter's fans.
