Leslie North has done it again...I devoured this book in one sitting. I love a good protective hero that prioritizes tenderness and isn’t afraid to show love. Protecting His Fake Wife is the 2nd in the series but I had no trouble following without having read the 1st. Cant wait for the 3rd! Thank you for the arc!

A fun, exciting read with an intriguing underlying series storyline.

I though the characters were well developed and written well in this story, with a good amount of romance, intrigue and excitement pushing the story along to a lovely HEA.

I am glad I have read the first in his series though I don’t think you would miss much and so this is ok as a stand-alone. Having said that, I’m excited to read the final book in the series next.

I enjoyed the character interactions, and felt Charlottes frustrations at how hard headed Easton was when they had to pretend to be married at first.

The underlying mob storyline was well integrated into this book, and also the other characters in the series which I always enjoy seeing in a book.

I accepted this arc in exchange for my honest review

Another great addition to my library, Leslie North doesn’t disappoint. This is the second in the series but can be read as a stand-alone.
Easton and Charlotte’s story is full of suspense and romance, as they avoid Zac’s killer, whilst enjoying a Spa hotel. It does end with an unanswered question though, who and why was Zac shot, which will hopefully be answered in Holly’s story.

We are back with the three girlfriends that witnessed the mob kill the ex of one of the ladies. They find protection from the Aegis Security group. A company owned by former SEALs . This time we get Charlotte Burnside’s story and that of her protective fake husband, Easton Yates.
These two fly to Florida to spend time away from the site of the crime and the mob, going undercover as newlyweds.
Easton is overprotective , and with reason. Charlotte’s heart is starting to get involved but her childhood experiences keep her from wanting to see anything beyond the present.
As the danger to them and their friends intensifies, so do the feelings.
In the end , will Easton be able to protect Charlotte and his heart?
This was a great addition to the series. Definitely as stand alone since the author gives the reader a detailed summary of how the three couples end up splitting in order to keep the ladies safe.
I was entrusted a copy of the book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I enjoyed reading Easton and Charlotte's story. Charlotte learned early on how to calm him down and act more rational. I can't wait for Holly's story so we can finally see who the murderer is and why.

Leslie North consistently brings great characters and passionate romance to life. As a big fan North's, her name provokes an automatic one-click from me. I am always entertained. I cannot wait to read the next one.

Protecting His Fake Wife (Aegis Security Book Two) by Leslie North
Publisher: Relay Publishing
Genre: General Fiction (Adult) | Romance
Publication Date: April 29, 2021

Protecting His Fake Wife is the second book in the Aegis Security series by Leslie North and does not disappoint! This can easily be read as a standalone romance or read as part of the series. (I recommend reading the first book, Protecting the Single Mother, because it is just so good!)

I really enjoyed this book! I found the story to be enjoyable. It is filled with suspense, steamy chance romance, adventure, and of course amazing chemistry!

This is a fast read (I read it in a couple of hours) and I couldn't put it down! The story was great. I loved the characters. I love how this book is intertwined with the previous book, but follows a totally different path. I loved the flirtation and the discovery of feelings. There is so much packed into this book and I just couldn't get enough!

Thankfully, the next book in the series, Protecting His Pregnant Partner, will be released on May 6, 2021! I can't wait!!!

I'm so grateful to Leslie North, Relay Publishing, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.
