I am going back to review some of the titles that I belatedly forgot to review in the past. I unexpectedly had two of these Shatner books on my list. The same review basically works for both books. This is the book that started the series, I cannot believe that this is one that slipped my mind. I ended up loving this so much that I read the entire series. Sci-fi is not even really my thing - but I find myself thinking about parts of this series all of the time. Shatner (and ghostwriter Ron Goulart) created a future world that is easy to see, easy to imagine that we evolved right into the pages. Is it bombastic? Sure. Is it fine literature? Nope. However, it is a pleasant read and I bet if you pick up and read one of the books you will want to continue the series.
