Through the author's own personal stories and personal way of communicating with the reader, I'm feeling hopeful and ready to thrive.
Nicole Crank is a new-to-me author and I absolutely love her book, I Will Thrive. In I Will Thrive, Ms. Crank shares her testimony and shows people that no matter what God can use them for His Glory. Ms. Crank reminds the reader often who they are in Christ and that regardless of what has happened in your past, God has a plan for you and you have a purpose. I read this book as part of my devotional time and it really ministered to me. I highly recommend this book! Thank you to NetGalley, the Author, and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book! (This review is also on GoodReads.)
( Please note received an advanced e-copy of the book . ) Much more than a book, I found ' I Will Thrive ' to be a workshop conveniently stored within book pages. If one is willing to do the work, and have Nicole accompany the reader, this journey can indeed be life changing. Will definitely gift and recommend copies of ' I Will Thrive ' !
Wow! This woman's life has been incredible. Like somebody make a movie about this woman. I have met Nicole Crank and her family, and I would never have thought that any of this has happened to her. What a beautiful testimony of God's restoration and that through Him, anyone truly can find freedom and thrive!
From page one this book had my captivated. Nicole's voice is so real and authentic, so easy to read and relate to. The first chapter begins with a crazy story from her life, and I was as hooked as any great fiction. She does a fabulous job of mixing the crazy pieces of her life with truths from God's word. I wish every faith building, teaching book was this easy to read and such a page-turner.
This book is engaging. Crank's writing style is easy to read. Her story is one from which to learn how to thrive, not just survive. Molested, raped, abused in marriage, she helps us understand we are not what happened to us in the past. She helps us learn how to change the label from shamed to loved by God.
This is a very encouraging book. It is eye opening to understand the attitude Crank has today after all that has happened to her. She knows God can take the epic mistakes in our lives and turn them into something amazing. God doesn't hold the past against us and neither should we.
She also reminds us that God's intention is not to give us a life of rainbows and roses. “His intention is to strengthen you to do things you never thought you could do.” (160) Her life is a testimony to God's work of transforming from the inside out.
This is a good book to read if you are struggling with shame, thinking that God could never redeem the terrible mistakes you have made. Crank's memoir and her encouraging teaching will give you hope in God. “Your best days are not behind you, they are in front of you,” Crank writes. “The best is yet to come.” (70)
I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.
I will Thrive is more than Nicole’s story, it’s a guide to help others walk through their unresolved pain to victory. She shows us that horrible things from your past and bad decisions doesn’t stop you from living your best life. This book gives insight on how to overcome the past and live a victorious life. She reminds us that God is with us and He will never leave us alone.
