KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR WITH ATTITUDE MEETS PRINCESS WITH SASS
Wow. Mariah Ankenman has stolen my heart and has given me so much joy to have read The Wedding Dilemma. The constant teasing and back-and-forth between Tamsen and Parker hooked me from the very beginning. I instantly related to Tamsen as an artist with mishaps everywhere! I love her attitude and go-getter personality. Getting to uncover Parker's character and see his hot side was great too😍 The way they both matured together and strengthened each other's weaknesses is perfect. I couldn't put it down, this was an amazing read, definitely would recommend!

I loved the storyline.
The way Tamsen and Parker meet is so funny,
Looks like Parker always find Tamsen in funny situations.
I'm so glad I picked this book.
It is awesome.
Parker is one of the firefighters answering Tamsen’s 911 call for help out of a plaster cast. They both feel a pull towards each other but the circumstances don’t allow them to act on it. And the circumstances don’t get any better when they meet again at their parents engagement party and they realize they are going to be step siblings.
When they get roped into planning a joint wedding shower for their parents, the push and pull of attraction gets too hard to be ignored. They hope that working it out of their system might make being at common functions easier.
The wedding dilemma is a light hearted and fun read. I enjoyed the banter between Tamsen and Parker and also the push and pull between them. I also enjoyed the bond between the firefighters and hope there is a book coming between Ward and Diaz.
This book has many laughs, some swoon and a little heartbreak. Tasmen is a bit of an accident waiting to happen. It's not so much that she's a klutz, but she keeps finding herself in embarrassing situations. Once of which is how she met Parker. A firefighter who answered the call from a damsel in distress. There was a spark at that first meeting, but the two never thought they'd see each other again. That is until they meet at their parents engagement party. Finding out they are about to become step-siblings put a quick halt to any ideas they may have had... or does it? Both have issues when it comes to love. She isn't looking for it, knowing what it did to her father after losing her mother, and he doesn't believe in it due to how he witnessed his parents relationship panned out. (Hint... it wasn't good.) The side characters bring some added humor. It's a good story that flows smoothly, alternating between POVs. I would have liked to see how they came to accept their soon to be sibling status as this was a big deal throughout the book (but their change of mind/heart in the end was never really explained.) There is some sexual content included that may not be suitable for younger readers. Overall, it was a light-hearted read, though there were some deeper emotions at play at times.
*I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley.
The Wedding Dilemma is a fast-paced, steamy forbidden firefighter romance that pulls you in from the beginning and holds your attention until the very end. A steamy page-turner that is sure to leave you wanting more,
Forbidden romance and trust issues come together in this sweet and spicy romantic comedy.
Who doesn’t love reading about a sexy fireman and his smart and talented lady friend? Crazy people, that’s who.
This particular forbidden romance trope isn’t usually something I go for, but everyone’s adults and who can deny that chemistry? Again, crazy people.
I'd just finished a light-hearted romantic comedy before starting this book. It's not usually a genre that I go for, but I felt that I wanted something else light and fun to follow on with. It turned out that The Wedding Dilemma was just the right book. The book opens with the heroine getting stuck inside a plaster cast that she's doing for a gallery display and this set the tone for the rest of the story.
Like all good lighter-hearted reads, this wasn't one that didn't have any issues for our characters to deal with. Neither Tamsen nor Parker is looking for a relationship. Tamsen doesn't want to fall for someone and then risk the pain that her father felt when her mother died. Parker has some serious trust issues and by acting on those he actually betrays Tamsen's trust.
Overall, this was a really enjoyable and entertaining read. There's a little bit of heat and passion (and even a passion painting!) It is also fun and in parts quite amusing without trying too hard. (This is why I tend to avoid Rom Coms, usually they try far too hard and just fall flat.) I don't know if there are plans for any more stories around some of the smaller characters that we met in this book. If it is, then I will be signing up to read them. I really enjoyed this one.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
YES, this is what I'm talking about, forbidden romance, sexy, steamy and hot firefighters! Sign me up.
Once I picked up this book, I couldn't put it down. I read this book in one sitting, #sorrynotsorry.
I will admit, I went into this book blind, I saw Mariah Ankenman's name and I just had to sign up to read and review this book. I have loved all of Mariah's previous books and this one did not disappoint! Tamsen is hilarious, she is adventurous and creative, she speaks her mind and doesn't shy away from things. Parker is funny, protective and HOOOOOOT.
These two are to be future stepsiblings, I will admit I don't usually like this trope, however, no one can deny the chemistry between these two. The sparks were flying. They were just perfect together. I loved how well they clicked from the very start, how they challenged each other and also how they supported each other. I loved it.
I highly recommend this book and all of Mariah's previous books.
The Wedding Dilemma was a good time. A hunky firefighter with a spunky artist. The situations were fun. The spice was delicious. This is the perfect weekend/beach read. If you need something light and playful, look no further.
The Wedding Dilemma is a delightful romance that takes place between an artist and a firefighter. The book started on a hilarious note, and it only continued to get funnier and steamier as time went on. I thought it was cute and the characters were well developed!
Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Everyone loves a good romance with a hot firefighter!
This was a super cute book with the unlikeliest of circumstances for the main couple, to say the very least. What would you do in that situation? At the beginning it seemed like a big deal but over the course of the book, it drifted into the background. I love how they main characters had interesting, and creative jobs. A firefighter and an artist. It’s nice to see different professions in romance novels.
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the earc in return for an honest review.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
I received an advanced reader's copy of The Wedding Dilemma by Mariah Ankenman from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, I felt this was a solid novel and I found it to be well written. The plot was engaging and moved swiftly. I appreciated how nicely crafted the main characters were, but do wish there had been more development of the secondary characters.
This novel was a quick, fun read.
The Wedding Dilemma by Mariah Ankenman is the first book in the Mile High Firefighters and the author certainly starts the series with a bang! Ms Ankenman is a new to me author, but she won’t be a stranger from now on, as her writing is fun, exciting and oh so HOT! I must admit the cover reeled me in, as who doesn’t want to read about a sexy firefighter and ALL his adventures, but there’s’ so much more to this story and author’s skill at keeping the reader engaged and entertained was what will keep me coming back for more. Talented world building, a great storyline and likable characters all add to the enjoyment of this story and there’s plenty of laugh out loud moments too. I’m glad that I decided to take a chance on a new author, as I rewarded with a delightful, delicious and seriously sexy read.
Good book! This is the first book in the mile high firefighters series, and it was awesome! It was funny , had lots of heart and a great storyline! This is Tamsen and Parker book, Parker is a hottie firefighter and Tamsen is kind of jack of all trades as she has a bunch of jobs lol mainly she's an artist! I can't wait for more in this series! I will definitely be reading the whole series! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
4.25⭐
The Wedding Dilemma was a delightfully fun, steamy romance between firefighter Parker and struggling artist Tamsen. And I had such a ball reading it as not only was it full of sexy firefighters 😉 But it was such an easy read that wasn't in the least bit clichéd. And with plenty of meet-cute and flirty moments it was a great way to spend a morning.
So, if you're heading away for a weekend to relax by the pool or at the beach you should definitely consider taking THE WEDDING DILEMMA with you.
When Tamsen is in need of a rescue from an embarrassing situation the sexy firefighter Parker takes the call. Embarrassed, she doesn't expect to see him again and can only rely on her fantasies. But that wouldn't be a very interresting story so, of course, she meets him again. At her Dad's engagement party. Engagement to Parker's mother. Sparks fly and it doesn't take long for the two of them to act on their attraction.
The wedding dilemma was the perfect balance between cute and sexy. I liked the relationship between Tamsen and Parker and how it developed. The story was well paced. Neither too fast nor too slow.
Plus the sexe scenes were fire (no pun intended) !
Overall it was a nice read and I enjoy myself !
