Thanks to #Netgalley for making this book available to me.

I was drawn to the book due to the title and ideas behind it and found the poems easy to read but unfortunately hard to connect to.

The ARC of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Bhangu makes a unique collage of poetry and prose. While I enjoyed learning what love is and its ideology in regards to Bhangu's perspective, I am quite saddened to say that I was not able to relate to much of the ideas written by Bhangu. However, that doesn't mean that it won't seep into the hearts of other readers who may find this book to relate to them in their experience of love.

This book was sent to me as an ARC on NetGalley. However all opinions are of my own.
I have become such a massive lover of poetry over the past couple of months, and the cover was the sole reason I picked this book up. However I was really unable to engage with this book I felt like the poems were very engaging. I wouldn’t say this book was a bad book I just don’t think I connected with it very well therefore I find it extremely hard to leave a review which would be beneficial to somebody else wanting to read this.

Unfortunately I didn't love this one. I didn't find it to have particular depth or anything I could connect with. This may work for the right reader though.

"Love for another is all good so long as it doesn't morph into a prison, and trap the soul from communing with The Great Architect"

This is one line from the book that encapsulates the message of the author. Everyone searches for a soulmate, while the author believes the soul is already complete and search for a supposed half is unnecessary. I do not think the endeavour is unnecessary rather the expectation is overblown and honestly incapable to meet. Like Mike Bhangu rightfully said, the love/ soulmate shown on TV/Hollywood creates a perfect but yet wrong image of love. The kind of love portrayed is one that traps and breaks the soul. Hence the need for a supposed soulmate.

This collection was short but really thought-provoking.

Although a quick, easy read, this wasn’t my cup of tea. There were some interesting poems, but I didn’t feel like I related to any of them. Not for me, but it doesn’t mean someone else won’t love it.

An interesting collection of poetry and prose. Very much enjoyed the words and ideas surrounding love from the authors point of view. Would have liked there to have been more as I managed to read this within a very short amount of time. The one thing I didn’t t like was the advertising within the book. It really disrupted the flow.
