I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher. This in no way impacted on my view.

Hope Chambers is a perfect student, but being perfect on paper will only get you so far. To spice up her personality and application in the weeks leading up to her MIT interview, she enlists the help of soccer star Landon Watkins. Though Landon may be Mr Popular, following the death of his grandmother and his spiralling, his grandfather gives him an ultimatum, and helping Hope will work with that. Hope may only need help for a few weeks, but getting closer to Landon has opened her eyes to just what she's been missing.

When I read Gutter Girl, I knew that the series would be an enjoyable one. I liked both Hope and Landon, who felt like real teenagers, who weren't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and made mistakes. Project Personality is full of laughs and teenage love, with a bit of angst thrown in too. A lovely teen romance.

First of all, thank you to the publisher and the authors for giving me the ability to read this book early! Unfortunately - this book was not for me. While I LOVED the other books in this world, this one didn't quite give me the same energy/I did not love it as much as the others. I felt very connected to the other 2 books I read in this world/series, but this one I could not get as invested in. Even though it wasn't for me does not make it a bad book however. I am still a HUGE fan of these author's and their writing styles and the way they work together!

Reading these two titles from the Twin River High series brought back pleasant memories of my teenage self who LOVED reading and getting lost in the worlds of Sweet Valley High and the Sweet Dreams series. They were the 'go to series' for most who wanted to experience high school romance, drama and different issues teenagers face in their high school life in written form. From love, breakups, popularity contests, getting good grades, being accepted, etc. it covered a huge range of topics in a setting and with characters that were relatable. I think the Twin River High series will manage to do just that for a new generation of teenage readers... Kelly Anne Blount and Lynn Rush have created a bunch of characters who will be as relatable to the teenage population as the characters of SVH and Sweet Dreams were. It was fun reading these two titles.

My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher Entangled Publishing, LLC/Entangled Crush and the authors for the e-Arc of the books.

A quick, fun, and engaging read you will not want to put down. I just wish I picked it up sooner! I loved my time with this and cameos from characters past. Honestly, I got To All The Boys vibes and I absolutely adored it! Easily a new favorite and a 5 star read.

Told as well as Gutter Girl from both points of view, its pages fly by and it's ideal when you're in a mood for a cute and sweet story - despite the heavy issues addressed within.

Another swoon worthy romance from Blount and Rush! Hope had done everything possible to pad her resume for college, except maybe enjoy what’s around her. Enter Landon and Project Personality. She enlists his help to help get a personality before her interview. He opens Hope’s eyes to a world she only ever thought of as off limits to the populars. They’re just people afterall.

What happens when this turns into more than just a project? Will the feelings stick after the project is over and the interview is through or were they just for show?

I love how Blount and Rush make you fall in love with their characters and story from the very early pages of each book. While this book took me quite a bit longer to get through than previous ones by the duo it’s was still very enjoyable. I also loved getting to see flashes of previous characters we’ve been introduced to and have come to love. If you’re looking for quick easy contemporary romance reads that deal with real issues check out the twin River series today.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me this Arc in exchange for a honest review...

After reading and loving the first one, I had high hopes for this, and boy it didn't disappoint!

I love how these books are realistic and deal with real world problems. Hope growing up and having this dream and achieving everything she can only to have someone, who doesn't know her at all tell her that she's boring and has no personality makes me mad as hell.

I really enjoyed how Landon and Hope bonded and helped each other out. I felt that they were good for each other and balanced each other out. I'm happy that in the end, Hope realised that what she was told didn't truly discourage her from following her dreams and that she had it in her all along.

I can't wait to get stuck into the next one!

Can a cliche make a good book?
.
The answer is YES! And This book was the proof, the storyline was an utter cliche:
A nerdy girl who is so smart and spews random facts whenever she's nervous, she can't get in her target school because "she doesn't have a personality" and asks for help from the athlete, who has a tragic backstory that makes him keep people at arm's length.
What i really liked about the book was: 1)it was fast-paced, i finished it in one day, it was that good.
2) the writing style was awesome, it was really engaging.
3) the story was packed with drama that only teen books can contain, which was a nice escapism from reality.
4) the fluff, the book had some swoon worthy fluffy scenes which for me was a good depart from the loaded scenes in adult fiction romance.
There were some details i didn't like: sometimes there were some repeated scenes, like Hope getting anxious when talking to anyone, or when the Landon keeps wallowing in self-pity anytime he feels himself getting closer to her.
Honestly, that was a really good book.

I have read the first two books in this new series and they are adorable! The first book features a high school jock that secretly writes fantasy romance. The second book is an opposites attract trope and the third features fake dating and a YouTube star. The books are easy to read and have cute dialogue. The authors deal with some tough topics and have the content warnings listed at the beginning. I wish I would have had this series in high school. I would definitely recommend these to teens who like romance!

How can someone didn't have personality ?

Thank you Net Galley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC, i voluntarily read and reviewed of this book, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was what i'm thinking. Hope Chambers straight A student, who told she doesn't have personality. No one can't stop her to get into MIT, even a personality she should get in 2 weeks. But she need someone to help her to doing this project, so she ask Landon Watkins, junior soccer player. He's popular, not a jerk, and she save his life once.

This book is so cute and fun. I like their journey on theri project, and the tasks Landon give to Hope, it's exciting to see how Hope being brave every step she take. I understand how strugle Hope when doing this project. my heart so full with their cuteness. They are so adorable !!! Oh and i can see a glimpse of Mcknna here, she's so wise.

Landon is my favorite character here (and his granfather). He's not just who they see on the surface, his thought, his word, sometimes have a deep meaning. I like character with dark past. How his thought about Hope is so sweet, and whenhe think he less than everyone, make me really sad. I love Hope when she babbling facts when she nervous, so adorable, and how she find who she are in their journey. they're so perfect for each other how Landon carring to Hope, want to be someone be there for her, and how Hope always eager to know landon better and trying to be someone he can trust.

I really enjoy reading this, Twin River High series character always have surprising way to show their love to their beloved one, aaaa i can't wait to read the next book in the series.

"Hope. It's wasn't only her namesake. It was what I was starting to feel when I was arounf her."

Project personality was the mediocre second installment in the twin river high series.

The plot felt overdone and too cliché. The fluffy light hearted element I enjoyed but sometimes it felt a bit too cheesy. The characters were again a bit too cliché but the background stories made them well rounded.

Overall this was an okay read but I would still definitely read the third installment.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the E-arc! All opinions are my own.

This was a cute story! I never read the Sweet Valley High books, but for some reason it felt like they might have been similar. Some of the writing and plotting felt a little obvious or overstated (the male character being so down on himself for his past--I would have liked more 'showing' over 'telling' there) and IMO, the phrase 'claimed her mouth' was overused. But this was a cute, fun read that made it feel like summer!

I was really excited to read this after loving gutter girl so much. Although this wasn't as good as gutter girl, it was still fantastic. I love the whole idea and concept of this book.

One thing that I love so so so much is the interconnectedness of this series. How we got insights of McKenna and other cameos from other characters.

I loved this sooooo much and although very extremely cringy, recommend it for a nice indulgence (read gutter girl first?)

Project Personality by Lynn Rush and Kelly Anne Blount is the 2nd book in the Twin River High series, and another great addition. I found this book to be a sweet, fun, and delightful young adult contemporary romance. Hope Chambers has perfect grades to get into MIT, but was told by her counselor that she needed a personality. At lunch time Landon Watkins, Mr. Popular and soccer star, was chocking on an apple when Hope saved his life. Hope told Landon to pay her back he had to help her get a personality. I love this genre, there is something so innocent about first loves. I love the quirky people and situations in this book, and watching the characters grow. I found this book to be a quick read, and highly recommend it to all YA romance readers, young and old.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

So much heart in one story! Project Personality will give you all the feels from start to finish, so many emotional barriers and mountains to climb, my heart broke for these characters.

This story had my heart in it's fist and just kept squeezing, but I hung on to every word. I loved the character development and how they overcome so many obstacles together. Plenty of laughter, getting into trouble and finding genuine friendship - this was the perfect addition to the Twin River High series.

Project Personality reminds me of a cute 90's rom-com where the brainiac girl needs the hot athletic guy to help her with a social experiment to become popular but with a contemporary flair that only Blount and Rush can master.

All Hope wants is to magically develop a personality overnight so that she can wow her college interviewer. she's accustom to fading into the background but all that changes when she gives Landon the Heimlich.

We got glimpses of Landon in the first Twin River High book and I loved that we get to see his story. The authors of this series do not shy away from controversial topics and I applaud their trend of penning main characters with real-life issues and scenarios. Blount and Rush are superb writers and they delicately balance strong themes with the perfect amount of sass and humor to keep the reader entertained.

Landon is the product of drug addict parents who was rescued by his grandparents only to have his beloved grandma pass away which leads to a rapid decline in his behavior and mental wee-being. Reading the inner dialogue of Landon was both eye-opening and scary while being deeply insightful.

Amidst this downward spiral, Hope comes into his life like a ray of super-smart light. She needs help ditching her anal uptight ways and Landon needs help appeasing his grandpa who is two seconds away from sending him to boot camp.

I enjoyed that their relationship was symbiotic and resulted in him helping her as much as she was helping him. Watching them navigate the constraints of teenage life while dreaming of the future was heartwarming. I relished the subtle tones of believing in yourself and upliftment throughout the novel and anxiously await the third installment of the series.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing, the authors and NetGalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This series is amazing! I really liked Gutter Girl but Project Personality was to die for. If you’ve ever been the awkward smart girl with a ton of social anxiety you’ll love Hope. I’ve been that girl for as long as I can remember and having a character that I can say is 100% me was amazing. This was one of the funniest, most heart wrenching and heart warming books I’ve read. This whole series is full of feel good reads and I can’t wait to get started on Chaos Theory.

This will be a spoiler free review. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I inhaled this in one sitting. I’m thoroughly enjoying these Twin River High books. They’re kind of giving me JLA Wait for You series vibe (minus the NA classification). I’m such a sucker for these kinds of cute contemporaries that don’t shy away from harder topics and trauma.
My only complaint that I have is that these books – this one definitely – isn’t long enough. Just shy of 300 pages, there isn’t enough time to really connect and get to explore the trauma. By that I mean, the trauma and/or the aftermath is on the page, but the “getting over it” (I use that phrase lightly) is almost glossed over.
This book takes place over a few weeks, and while I know that the character who is struggling isn’t “healed” by any stretch of the imagination, it just felt a bit easy and convenient.
And don’t get me wrong, I still utterly loved this book, found it to be cute and adorable and I loved the ending – I literally squealed into my pillow after reading it. But I would like more.
But I will say, I also do really enjoy the fact that this book is a quick, relatively light read. I was just able to turn my brain off and enjoy the adorable moments. And omfg I loved the premise of this book – I swear YA contemporaries make me regret my high school experience. I want something this adorable, okay?
Hope and Landon are adorable and the way they navigate each other, how Landon was just on board to help her…it was great. Was it a little rushed? Yeah, but I was lost in the story, so I didn’t care that much. Hope was so adorable – I feel like I’m saying that word a lot – but this book was adorable! She really grew as a character and learned to stand up for herself. I loved that she brought out a better side in Landon, as he did her. They complimented each other very well.
I will say that I really wasn’t a fan of her two best friends. I get that they’re all insanely smart and somewhat lack the ability to discern social cues, but they irritated me. They felt manipulative and controlling and just honestly, annoying. Tbh, I think Hope was a better person without them. They felt naïve and childish and then what they did towards the end – that was horrible. Was not a fan.
Overall, I loved this book. I loved the first one, this one was great, and I really cannot wait to dive into book 3. It’s totally my next read. If you’re looking for a cute, quick YA contemporary, you probably want to check this out. If you want something in a similar vein as Brigid Kemmerer’s YA contemporaries, or Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Wait for You series (minus the NA classification), then you’re going to enjoy the stories coming out of Twin River High.

this book is the second in the twin river high series and i couldn't be more in love.
the story follows ,nerdy mit bound hope chambers as she saves landon your typical overwhelming tired footballer from choking we get to see how their friendship blossoms, thought its a bit rocky and awkward in the beginning .
this story was soo cute and heart warming and while i didn't necessarily like the mc in the beginning i grew fond of their relationship: Landon pushes Hope well out of her shell and her comfort zone and Hope manages to keep Landon grounded, giving him again a reason to look at the future. .
just a light fun read while having heavy issues discussed .

What a cute story! A good hearted smart girl and cute and popular boy who has an unfortunate secret take turns telling the story as they work on a project together! Hope is so smart like MIT smart and also hilarious and she doesn’t even know it! Landon starts to see her warm and genuine personality and the attraction starts to build up but, even as charismatic as he is, he thinks he is not good enough for her.

I liked that it was not just a love story but has some real relationship and life lessons like self acceptance, healing from trauma, joy in helping each other and trusting people with a second chance. Even though these characters were in high school, I could relate to their struggles and heart breaks because these issues still exist in adult life as well. I wish I had this book when I was at high school!

It was so easy to read and I wanted more and more of their story! Did Hope get into MIT? How about Landon? I am so ready for the sequel! I think I want to read the first and third book of this series too!

I want to thank NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for approving my request for ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
