I loved this book! It's well-written, enjoyable, and a great Christmas read. Susan Mallery did a great job of writing in a way that captures the readers attention, and makes you not want to put it down until you're finished! I would highly recommend it!
This was an ok story, I didn’t like nor did i hate it. I like the authors writing style and will continue to read from her.
Two cute romance stories make this book well worth a read.
Four stars.

I found this cute holiday read to just be delightful. The characters were believable and the setting was nice. I would recommend this story!
This was a good book. I really enjoyed that it took is on the journey of two sisters and their romances. I also enjoyed that it was a nice clean read.
Thank you Harlequin and Netgalley for allowing me to read this title for an honest review.
Another wonderful Susan Mallery book. I love Christmas books. This is a two and one story book. It takes place during Christmas.
Last Christmas I was yearning (for the first time) for cozy Christmas reads, even though I’m currently in gods ole’ hot Miami Florida. I guess that could be the reason why, now that I think about it, I miss the cold! I don’t think I’ve ever read a Christmas book (if thats a thing) before. I was into it from the very first page. Loved the atmosphere, the small town vibes. Literally like all the Christmas hallmark movies but in a book. I didn’t mind that at all. I’m very much looking forward to the next installment!
The Somerville family invites you to celebrate their second wedding in this perfect snowy Christmas read, perfect for fans of Robyn Carr and Debbie Macomber.
Susan Mallery’s new novel is a delightful and well-written book about two sisters and their struggles with love. The Somerville sisters, Reggie and Dana, have been unlucky in love, but this changes when Reggie goes home for her parents’ second wedding.
As Reggie and Dana find themselves caught up in the magic of falling in love at Christmastime, the sisters realize that they might be ready to make a change, and the perfect family Christmas is just what they need for a new beginning.
The Christmas Wedding Guest is a light, easy read; the writing draws you into the story, and the characters’ struggles with family and love pull at your heartstrings. Such a perfect Christmas read for those who love romance and holiday vibes.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Harlequin through NetGalley. The opinions in this review are entirely my own.
The Christmas Wedding Guest is the second in a series of romance novels . This is the story of two sisters, Dena and Reggie. Dena is a pregnant single teacher, Reggie was engaged -for a week-end. A feel-good story of family frienda and love., Thanks to Netgalley and the publ;isher for the ARC in exchange for my honest rebview.
This was a great holiday read, perfect if you like those Hallmark movie vibes. While it was a bit cheesy at times, this really didn't bother me at all because j enjoyed the characters and the story.
It was about two sisters, each home for Christmas and to celebrate their parents voe renewal. Each sister hadn't really had any luck in love and now they each have their chance at romance and happily ever after.
It was a sweet story about love, second chances, family and of course, it all centered around the Christmas season. I enjoyed it!
It wasn't my favorite story of the author and I initially had some difficulty connecting with the characters, but I gradually surrendered to the way the couples were getting closer and I ended up with a smile on my face.
This is classic Susan Mallery with a warm, quirky small town, likeable characters, and a sweet-natured romance (or two.) This particular one wasn't my favourite of her proliferate title list, but I still found it heartwarming and entertaining. It was charming and I loved the little rules of Wishing Tree residents regarding the snowfall and Christmas celebration.
I loved this one. Christmas spirit, family, and romance all rolled up into a perfect read that had me laughing and crying. As always, I love Susan Mallery's work and this just left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
The Christmas Wedding Guest by Susan Mallery is the first full length novel in the contemporary romance Wishing Tree series. There is also a prequel novella already available in the series and as with a lot of contemporary romance each book changes the main characters in the story with the setting of Wishing Tree, Washington being the common theme. This means that each book of the series can be read in any order or as a standalone if choosing to do so.
The Christmas Wedding Guest is a two for the price of one contemporary romance set at Christmas time, of course. The story features the Somerville sisters, Reggie and Dena, who both are in search of love. Reggie is back after going through as what she thinks of as the world’s shortest engagement and Dena is pregnant but without a partner to help.
Both sisters are helping to plan their parent’s vow renewal ceremony as the holidays approach. Reggie unexpectedly finds herself crossing paths with Toby who was her first love before she had left and sees those old flames are still burning. Dena on the other hand had given up on waiting for a man for her chance to become a mother but now that she’s pregnant she finds herself falling for Micah, a guest staying at her inn.
I have to admit I was a little skeptical going into The Christmas Wedding Guest since it was going to be following not one but two couples. My concern was how would it have time to introduce so many characters and make me engaged in not only their lives but their new relationships. Well, concern flew out of the window pretty darn quickly as I sat down with this lovely tale. I really did enjoy both relationships and was completely onboard with not only the characters but found the setting and story just lovely too. Definitely a holiday winner and I’ll be interested in reading the rest of the Wishing Tree series in the future.
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
I really enjoyed this Christmas story. Thank you Net-Galley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this story.
We get great characters. Reggie and Dena are sisters and both strong women. Reggie hasn't been home in a while. After a broken engagement she didn't want to go home and be the topic of conversation. Her engagement didn't last long not even a week. Dena she wants kids but hasn't found the one yet so she decides that she is going to have a baby, who needs a man for that.
Reggie and Dena's parents are having a wedding, the dream wedding their mom has always wanted. With the planning of the wedding, Dena being pregnant and battling morning sickness, Reggie is stepping up and helping out where ever she is needed.
We get a second change romance, and Rockstar romance and a dream wedding all in one story. Some readers think that it is all to much for one book but I thought it was easy to follow and it was a great read. I so want to visit Wishing Tree and hang out with this family! I can see this as a holiday movie!
The Christmas Wedding Guest hit me right in the feels!
The Christmas Wedding Guest features sisters Reggie and Dena. I couldn't have loved them both more. Dena has decided to have a baby on her own, giving up on love (for now). Reggie has sworn off love after a brutal break up. As they help their mother prepare for her renewal of vows they go on a moving path of self discovery and love.
The two main love interests had the more tragic pasts, Micah having lost his wife and unborn child, Toby with issues involving a past girlfriend. I thought both of these issues were handled well and showed the growth of the them in just a few short weeks.
Mallery knows how to make you feel things and I couldn't be happier with this being my final read of the year.
‘The Christmas Wedding Guest’ by Susan Mallery was a delightful, engaging holiday read that left me feeling warm and fuzzy!
I enjoyed The Christmas Wedding Guest and look forward to reading the rest of this new series from Susan Mallery!
Such a cute book!
The story revolves around two sisters as they prepare for the holidays and plan their parents vow renewals. Their little town is Christmas oriented and I loved reading about their shops, the Wreath as a town square, the 15 minute snow fall requirement before putting out snowmen, town advent calendar, school charity, and so much more. Not to mention the men. Did I mention Micah and Toby? Not sure which one I liked more for Dena and Reggie but they were perfect for both.
I love that the sisters were more realistic and relatable. The author did a good job world building and describing everything.
Seriously I loved this book and all of the characters. It was just perfect. I would love to hear more stories from Wishing tree!
