A great easy pool read, nice bit of mystery thrown in to keep you reading. Well thought out characters and attractive cover

A complicated little love story but a beautiful one as well. It tells the story of Ruby a film star whose social media gets hacked and the story of how she strives to clear her name. Her lacklustre agent doesn’t do much to help her at all apart from foisting her on the delightful Mitch in his villa in Sicily. I know that’s where they meet but much of the rest of the book is set in Scotland. Cue lots of mis-direction and subterfuge and all is well at the end. I really thought with the title there would be more happening in Sicily. But I enjoyed it.

A really lovely summer read that takes the reader from New York to Sicily, the Isle of Skye and even a ouch of Yorkshire. Perfect way to relax but also solve a little mystery as the romance unfolds..
Will certain read more from this author, he view on friendship, beautiful settings and easy story telling invite the reader in and make you want to stay cosseted in the company of the characters.

Before even reading the synopsis of the book, the cover of Under A Scilian Sky definitely caught my eye. It's a great story about the highs and lows of being on social media and of course the negative impacts that can have. It's a fun romantic story with a touch of mystery added in the mix. The characters are all well rounded. Truly a great read!

Oh my goodness, where do I start? I couldn't put the book down, It does take you on a journey.
It's intricate in a very subtle way. The main character is not overbearing, she starts out as naïve and grows the more her fame led life throws at her. She is an English lass called Rubie , living in NYC, from there her life post a social media scandal thanks to a mystery hacker, takes us to Sicily and a gorgeous town in on the Isle of Skye.
She had to grad the last thread of dignity she had left, you won't regret meeting Tyler, Valerie, Phillipe, Jessica, Brie and Bayleigh, Jacopo, Luca, Dougie, Shelby, Miceli, Jules, Reid, Chewie and so on.
The absolute star is Nero the little Terrier, I absolutely fell in love with him. Reading the book I ended up adopting French, Italian and Scottish accents too.
There are some thought provoking moments, some uncomfortable moments and some incredibly near sexy moments,
Another thing the book did is remind me of a song by PM Dawn. called Set Adrift on Memory Bliss, perfect for the summer of 2021.
I am sure you can tell, I absolutely recommend this book as a summer read.
Hopefully, you will enjoy it as much as I did. Now, I can't wait to get stuck into Lisas' back catalogue.

Perfect for a holiday read, particularly if you're a mystery fiction fan. I loved the Italian setting and the glitzy heroine. This was a "light read" in the best sense of the word: engaging without weighing the reader down. A real pleasure.

Thanks Netgalley for a arc copy of this book for a honest review..

Under A Sicilian Sky by Lisa Hobman was a fun, adventurous, emotional journey with a bit of mystery thrown in. I so enjoyed traveling with the famous actress, Ruby as she tried to outrun the paparazzi after a social media hack destroyed her reputation.
Ruby Locke, a famous actress finds out her social media accounts were hacked, and now her once adoring fans have turned on her as they believe she posted vile comments on her accounts. On the advice of her agent, she goes to Sicily to a home of a friend of a friend, in order to let the uproar of her unpopularity die down. Then her fiance, Tyler Harrison, a Hollywood heartthrob, breaks their engagement, making her even more unpopular. While in Sicily, Ruby meets her landlord and a mysterious neighbor that interests her.
When the publicly fails to die down, and gets worse, she escapes again to a quaint village on the remote Isle of Sky, in Scotland.
This book is a real page-turner. I kept going so I can find out who and how Ruby’s social media accounts were hacked. I enjoyed the locations, both Sicily and Isle of Sky, and the author’s descriptions of these picturesque locations were vivid and realistic and allowed me to escape and feel as if I was there with the characters.
This book gave us quirky characters and a couple of adorable dogs too! It’s fun, light and an enjoyable read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is the first book I have read by, Lisa J Hobman. It won't be the last.
I loved every little bit of the story. The characters were so real, and the location couldn't be better I really felt as if I was there.

The title of this appealed to me as I have a fondness for Italy in general. I was not disappointed. The book grabbed me with the likeable main character, Ruby. I lived the highs and lows with her and was sad when the book came to an end. The descriptions of the places were great and drew you right in, and the interactions of the various characters were believable. I guessed the culprit towards the end (no spoilers here), but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the book. I was keen to keep reading it and devoured it in 2 days. It was an easy, enjoyable and escapist read, which was great. I’ve not read any previous work by this author, but based on this I will definitely be reading more.

Brand new from the top 20 bestselling author of Dreaming Under An Island Skye. This was one read I couldn’t wait to delve right into! Engaging writing style that kept me turning the pages. Thought-provoking, tender and original. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received an advance copy of, Under A Sicilian Sky, by Lisa Hobman. This is a great book. Lies, secrets, families, and beautiful locations. Ruby is a great character.

Under the Sicilian Sky by Lisa Hoffman is both a mystery and a romance. The story revolves around the negative effects an Internet hacking has on the life and career of actress Ruby Locke. Ruby's agent sends her into hiding to a villa in Sicily where she meets Scottish property mogul Mitch. The story follows her fight to clear her name and the consequences of the twist at the end. You will have to read it to learn more.
I loved this book and read it in one rather long sitting. You just can't put it down, so be warned. Although there is romance involved it doesn't detract from the main theme of the book which seemed to be very well thought out and researched. It is a thought provoking read that really gets you to think about the negative side of the Internet, especially social media. The underlying romance keeps the book from being to heavy, giving it a much softer touch.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a solid, hard hitting but friendly storyline. Youngsters (teens/young adults) could learn from it too!
