This was a fairly good book, but a bit melodramatic for my taste. I do know that it helps my interest the whole way through!
I have mixed feelings about this story. On the one hand, I enjoyed the retelling of Autumm and Finn’s friendship, their high school years and seeing them finally finding their way back to each other. On the other hand, there were some events and secondary characters I could have done without and then there was the ending. Nope, not THAT ending, I knew that was going to happen (and still it gutted me!) but the actual end to the story.
I have no words. Maybe I’m old and too cynical, but it didn’t do it for me.
I did like the concept and most of the elements included. I think the author did a great job in keeping the reader invested in Autumm and Finn’s story and I’ll go as far as saying that the story had the right mix of teenage angst and drama along with that puppy-love feeling of “I’ve fallen in love with my best friend” thing mos of us long for as individuals. But I could’ve definitely done without that ending, thus my 3-star rating.
