I would like to thank Netgalley, Kensington Books and the authors for this lovey anthology.
Each story is set with the bakeshop that Rebecca owns and runs in Lancaster County as the backdrop. We meet three different ladies – Rebecca, one of her workers and the local teacher. All love Christmas but have aspects of their lives that they would like to be different. The characters are well written, the stories are really lovely and draw you in. I liked the bakeshop as the backdrop and the subsidiary characters that came into it. You got to know the community as well as the main characters.
Would recommend this anthology.

Three different stories by three different authors, each presenting different reads that feature Rachel's Porch Bakery.

The first two novella's take place mainly in the bakery, and embrace many of the same characters, delightful! The third visits Rachel's but is a story of a woman who loves teaching, but whose home life is very hard.

You will be quickly page turning and looking for answers as these tales unfold, and wanting more as the last page is turned!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Kensington, and was not required to give a positive review.

These three novella Christmas stories are sweet and filled with baking and romance with each centering around Rebecca’s Bake Shop.

Shelley Shepard Gray brought a lovely story between adults Rebecca and Aiden in A Christmas Cake for Rebecca. Their love story began before as young teens. Rebecca was known for her beautiful Christmas cakes. But what will happen right at Christmas when she becomes ill with all the long hours she had been working to fill so many orders?

The Best Christmas Present Ever by Rachel J. Good explored childhood friends Christian Yoder and Lizzie. Lizzie was an amazing cake decorator and had a heart for others. How will Lizzie minister to Christian and his young daughter who is in the hospital when they met at the bake shop? I enjoy this story as a dog brought joy to several characters.

Loree Lough contribution brought The Christmas Cupcake tale that found school teacher Tess buying cupcakes for her students to celebrate birthdays. When Asher Stuery became sweet on Tess how will he win her over when she feels an obligation to her abusive father and caring for him in their home. I enjoy her brother Noah and his determination to aid Asher.

These fun tales will bring smiles, a desire to bake and maybe experiment with making fancy cupcakes or a beautiful Christmas cake this upcoming holiday season.

Thank you to Keningston Books and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book. Plus being a winner on Goodreads to win a final e-copy of delightful tale. I was under no obligation to write a positive review and have expressed my own pinon.

This was the perfect book to start my early Christmas novel reading binge that happens from the fall until Christmas. I loved each story individually, and of course the way they all tied in together. Each other contributed their own unique take on their novella, but didn't break the flow of the entire novel as a whole. If you love Amish fiction or Christmas themed novels, you will love Christmas at the Amish Bakeshop.

This book shares 3 stories that connect characters and I really liked it. I would've liked to get to know some of the characters better but it was a nice compilation.

Thank you Kensington Books for allowing me to read Christmas at the Amish Bakeshop
by Shelley Shepard Gray; Rachel J. Good; and Loree Lough through NetGalley. The book will be released, September 28, 2021.

A CHRISTMAS CAKE FOR REBECCA by Shelly Shepherd Gray, is a delightful story of Aden and Rebecah’s love lost, love found. Can second chances really happen? Will a holiday illness bring about this chance?
5-stars, easy to read, enjoyable.

BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER by Rachel J. Good
Lizzie moves back to her hometown to care for an ill aunt. After getting a job in a bake shop, she meets Christian Yoder who is caring for his daughter, Johnna, who is having to undergo surgery. Who who have guess these two would get a chance for friendship and possibly more. As always, Rachel tells a 5-star story.

THE CHRISTMAS CUPCAKE by Loree Lough
Tessa Beachy is the community school teacher and the daughter to an explosive father and sister to a lovable brother Noah. The Stuery family was community neighbors but the younger brother, Asher, piqued her interest. Could she trust anyone to be kind, loving, and caring after the example her father had shown her? A wonderful 5-star story told by Loree for us to enjoy.

These ladies have interwoven each individual tales around the bakery, Rebecca’s Porch. Very uniquely, these ladies have told individual, stand-alone stories that center around this one bakery in this 5-star collection.

I was given an ARC by Kensington Books through Netgalley. All options are mine, and I was not required to give a positive review.

3.5 stars

Amish stories are some of my favorites, and I really enjoy the novella collections. Throw in Christmas, a bakeshop, and some of my favorite authors, and it's even better! The cheer and encouragement was perfectly timed. The stories are heartwarming and focus on second chances. Faith and hope are key themes. This is a great book to get you in the mood for the upcoming holiday season, and the novellas are short enough to easily fit into a busy day or schedule.

I am such a sucker for a good Christmas story, and these are all good. Throw in a bakeshop and they’re beyond good. Full of Christmas charm, I enjoyed each one. I liked the way the characters overlapped in each story. You felt as though you really got to know them and wanted to spend time with them. At the bakeshop of course, having coffee and Christmas cookies.

Each story is heartwarming, full of second chances, faith, and hope. If you enjoy Amish stories, Christmas stories, or simply relaxing novellas, then I highly recommend this one.

I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.

This is a delightful book!! Get yourself a cup of tea and some cookies to get you in the mood. It has three stories, by three different authors, that have overlapping characters. I love it when I get to know a character and I see them again in another book.
The first novella is “A Christmas Cake for Rebecca” by Shelley Shepherd Gray. Rebecca is a single woman who owns the bake shop where all the action happens. Her former flame moves back to town and Rebecca is trying to bake Christmas cakes for the bakery. This story will get you in the holiday spirit!
“Best Christmas Present Ever” by Tachel J. Goode, is the next story. Lizzie moves to Lancaster to take care of her sick aunt. She gets a job at the bake shop. Christian is a widower with a sick daughter, Johanna. He meets Lizzie at the bakery and they learn to help each other through their challenges.
“The Christmas Cupcake” by Lorre Lough, is the final novella. Tessa is a teacher who buys cupcakes for her class and Noah is a builder who doesn’t read. You will be rooting for them this entire story.
These authors are all amazing!! I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author and Kensington Books through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

I absolutely love each of these stories and especially the fact that they build on each other. Each one is different in its own way but so sweet and fun to read. Clean Amish romance at its finest!

I absolutely love these novellas about holidays, especially the Christmas Holidays. And I am a sucker for Amish fiction. All the stories were equally good and all had different life lessons, that we all can learn from in are own lives. This was an easy read and very feel goody. Which is not a bad thing. I would recommend this to anyone who is depressed or feels blue during the holidays. it is a nice pick me up.

These three stories are sweet and entertaining stories centered around a bakery called Rachel's Porch. I love how they are all intermingled and the characters from previous stories end up in another story. It feels very connected and well-written. However, at times, I didn't think that enough research might have been done on the Amish way of life.

I have been around Old Order, New Order, and even Mennonites and occasionally a character would behave or say something that would be considered wrong in the Amish faith. But, that being said, I did love these stories and the characters in them. I honestly wish the stories were longer so I could read more about the families and couples - but, perhaps that occurs in the next book.

These three books are a quick read and would be a perfect lazy, day book.

Thank you NetGalley for the free copy for my review. All opinions are my own.

This is a sweet holiday read of three novellas centered around an Amish bakeshop. The novellas all connect with people who either work or shop at the bakeshop.

Second chance love, faith, and hope are intertwined in each story. Each book is a sweet, quick read that you will not want to put down until you have finished reading it. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys clean, sweet Amish romances.
