The main character, Chris Black, needs a break after traumatizing events happened in California months prior. He decides to travel to South Africa to assist in the study of fish populations with local researchers. What he finds is far more than fish...
I listened to the narration of this book and thought the narrator did a great job. His voice was unremarkable in the best way. It's so frustrating when a narrator's voice is too distracting and I can't focus on the book.
The book was well written and fairly straightforward. The plot was interesting but I wasn't captivated. I liked the characters but I wanted to love them. Chris has the basic framework of a great protagonist but I couldn't connect with him. All in all I thought it was a good book and I think if you're looking for an adventure you'll enjoy it!
*I received a free copy of the audio in exchange for my honest review.

This was a quick book to get through. I have not read anything from this author, so I had not started this series before. There is a pretty quick summary of the important events, I assume, at the beginning. I found the descriptions of South Africa were one of my favorite things in the book. The premise of the adventurous diver who somehow can't stay out of trouble to be a little far fetched. Getting past that, I enjoyed it anyway. I wasn't really thrilled with all of the voices the narrator attempted to do and I found it distracting at times. I would have preferred it, I think, if I had not gotten the audiobook.
This book was a definite thriller! I was happy that it was well researched and included tidbits of knowledge as far as diving and sharks etc. I can definitely appreciate it when I can learn something while reading a great story!
This audiobook moved along quite well and I enjoyed the shocks and adventures of the characters! Thank you for the ARC of this audioboook!
I didn't finish the book
I didn't like it. I got it so I could set up and listen to audio. I know it is a terrific book but it was not for me. I will continue to search for audio books that fit my likes.
The novel moves along at a good pace and is well written. The author creates a real feeling of tension and unease and it is one of the scariest thrillers I've read for a while. Sharks and underwater a good combination for getting the heart pumping. I’m giving this audio book a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I definitely enjoyed this one more than the first.
The narrator was really good and the story was alot more engaging in this second book.
This was an interesting audio book. The narrator did a great job and I was easily able to follow the plot. Unfortunately, this one was just not for me. It was a mix of mystery and adventure - the life of a marine biologist. I though the description of the area really fascinating and loved the idea of diving in the area but I just couldn't get into the plot. I know others will love this one.
Wow got to say this action packed. This thriller was amazing I had to listen to it in one day it was that good. Not to mention great white sharks are involved. This is the second book in the series but I didn't need to read the first book to get straight into it and enjoy every minute of it.
This is Chris Blacks second thrilling adventure where he is asked to dive off the coast of South Africa to research coral and plankton. However its not as simple as that as the team have complications and find something I think they may wish they had not discovered.
Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did its a 6 star read.

Blood Cold merges the thrills of a mystery book along side the tradition adventure book you would expect where the main character is a marine biologist. The plot follows a marine biologist in his current quest with some graduate friends within South Africa, however his journey is not as straightforward as it first seemed when the wreckage of a ship is discovered.
The book is well written, and with some polishing, could be a best-seller.

The book is well written, unfortunately it was not the book for me and I kept losing interest in the plot. I do believe that for the right person, this book would be a best seller and I wish the author well with the plot and the series.
