Jo Wright is the author of the popular Kitty Katz children’s books. When she’s invited to the first Little Bridge Island book festival, she hesitates to accept because best-selling author Will Price lives on the island and she does not like him one bit. Her agent assures her that he won’t be there so Jo decides to go. Guess who’s there when she gets there? That’s right – Will! He wants to make things right with Jo, if she’ll let him.

No Words was a fun, quick read. Meg Cabot is on the board of the Key West Literary Seminar so not only has she attended book festivals as an author, she’s been involved in organizing them as well. I feel like No Words gave me a little inside scoop about the literary world, which I loved.

Will writes Nicholas Sparks-type books (although Meg has said that he’s not based on a real author) and there are excerpts from Will’s book, The Moment because Jo is reading it. Those were filled with really funny, over-the-top melodrama. I loved how she satirized that type of book.

I felt like the chemistry between Will and Jo was a bit forced but overall, I enjoyed No Words. Meg Cabot is comfort reading for me. Her books give me a warm, fuzzy feeling when I’m reading them and No Words was no exception.

I have loved Meg Cabot's books for years. No Words is no different! This was a great addition to the Little Bridge series. I loved Jo and Will so much.

Jo is a best selling children’s author. When she first meets Will Price, the heart throb best selling writer of tragic love stories there’s instant chemistry between them. But it comes crashing down when he gives an interview trashing her, her books and her confidence. A year later she has writer’s block and a need for some easy cash. So, when she is offered a spot at the Little Bridge Literary Festival she takes a chance and then immediately regrets it when she runs into her nemesis Will Price as soon as she gets off the plane.
In typical Meg Cabot fashion the book is full of charming, lovable characters and enjoyable hijinks. While I loved both the hero and the heroine, their romance was unfortunately lukewarm.. Even their happily ever after left me hanging and wishing for a little more. I was glad to revisit the lovely island of Little Bridge but I wish there was more love in this love story.

After reading the first two in the series, I knew I needed to read this one! Like her others books, No Words didn’t disappoint! I’m excited to see what else she has in store!

This may be one of my favorite romances, I absolutely loved this story and the characters. I can’t wait to read more from this author!!

I keep reading the books in this series, and they just keep being a disappointment. The blurb for the books are great, but the actual books are a disappointment. Jo was annoying and immature and completely unrealistic. She HATES Will until she LOVES him. It was ridiculous how fast she changed her (stupid) opinions of him. Because I’m a glutton for punishment, I’ll probably read the next one in the series, but I don’t think Meg Cabot deserves to be able to publish a next one. HARD PASS. At least the cover is cute?

Thanks to @NetGalley and William Morrow and Custom House for my ARC!

No Words is a fun and flirty romance, but I never warmed up to the main character. Jo was a successful grown-up woman, but she came across as very childish. Also, I never fully understood Jo's issue with Will. He apologized, but Jo was not willing to let go of the slight. I have enjoyed Cabot's Little Bridge Island series, and I will keep reading, but this wasn't my favorite from the author.

I received an eARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

A cute enemies to lovers trope. Jo Wright has sworn off going to Little Bridge Island until she gets an offer she can’t turn down. She heads to the Island for a book festival thinking the one person she has been avoiding will not be there. She doesn’t even leave the airport before she runs into Will, the one person she didn’t want to see. She is in complete shock not only that he is there, but that he seems sorry for what he did.

I felt like there was something missing from this one. I enjoyed it, but kept waiting for the big moment… it just didn’t come for me. It’s a quick, cute read.

Two authors falling in love at a book festival, with Meg Cabot's trademark humor and fabulous cast of characters? Yes, please! I'm a huge fan of all of Cabot's books (especially The Princess Diaries and The Heather Wells Mysteries), so when I was approved for her latest book on NetGalley, I was stoked! And NO WORDS definitely did not disappoint. It also thoroughly made me long for in-person book festivals again so I can be that person with a backpack full of books for my favorite authors to sign (Cabot being one of them). As an author myself, so much of this book was relatable as well. If you love reading, book festivals, romance, writing, or all of the above (like me!), I urge you to read NO WORDS right away!

This was such a cute romance book! This is the third book in the Little Bridge Island series, but it can be read as a stand alone. I have been a huge fan of Meg Cabot’s books for years, and she just keeps getting better and better.

This was a book about authors and their books, and I loved it. What’s better then a book about books? I thought all the characters in this book were so fun. I loved all the different authors in this book and hearing about their stories. I enjoyed the chemistry between Jo and Will, I felt like it was realistic. It wasn’t a super steamy book, which was nice. Overall, I thought it was a really cute book and I would highly recommend checking it out!

Thank you Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book. It’s an enemies to lovers trope, two successful authors with history and bad feelings, thrown together at a small town book festival. Meg Cabot is a master of romance and No Words was just a fun book. The setting is quirky and really makes me long to live there. I recommend this book if you’re into enemies to lovers, small town romance, a funny and endearing cast of characters and a sweet, easy read guaranteed to make you smile as you’re reading. Meg Cabot’s signature wit and humor fills every page.

I am a huge Meg Cabot fan, so I was thrilled to receive an advance copy of this new novel of hers. This one was a good book, not her best. Disclaimer is that this is the third in a series, and I have not read the two books prior to this one in the series. This may impact my opinions. I never felt like I truly knew the entire cast of characters, and though this book is billed as a rom-com, there was a lack of romance, in my opinion. I still think it is worth a read, and I plan to read the two preceding novels to paint a clearer picture. Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow and Custom House for a copy of this book for an honest review.

I fell in love with Meg Cabot’s writing a long time ago. I’ve read her Princess Diaries series about 25 times. This novel is my first foray into Meg’s adult romances, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. No Words is an excellent rendition of a contemporary romance.

Jo Wright loathes Will Price. This guy arrogantly proclaimed that children’s literature isn’t a worthy type of writing, setting Jo off on a long road of hostility and passive-aggressiveness. But, it isn’t just that Will looked down on Jo’s chosen genre, but that now, Jo’s feelings are all wrapped up in this feud, and she suffers from debilitating writer’s block. Jo blows through deadline after deadline with nothing to show for it when the children’s librarian from Little Bridge Island’s library invites her to participate in their first book festival with an offer Jo can’t afford to refuse. But, escapades of every sort take place on the island and toss Jo’s world in a tailspin. Will Jo escape the island intact, or will her career plummet like a meteor?

I’m not going to lie. I didn’t like Jo. She is childish and self-centered, dwelling on her own misery while blaming her lack of ambition on everyone but herself. I found her whiney and not someone I wanted to share brains with for the full length of the book. She jumps to inane conclusions about everything and mistreats her friends. I had no sympathy for her at all.

However, I adored Will. The man has a brilliant mind and seems sincerely sorry for the slight against Jo’s work. From Will’s every movement and comment, you could tell that he felt horrid about what happened. I loved how he kept popping up on the scene to ruin Jo’s day. I laughed so hard every time he showed up driving the author’s van to haul the authors around the island. No matter how much Jo pushed Will away, he kept his cunning sense of humor intact.

The island itself was gorgeous. I could feel the seawater hitting my face when the group went out on the boat excursion. The dolphins were right there in my mind’s eye. Will’s stately home put me in the mood for relishing daiquiris in the moonlight. The big windows surrounding the exterior made me feel like I was in my dream home. The hotel felt quite charming. Meg Cabot has a wonderful way with words, and her descriptions of everything were glorious.

When I chose this book, I had no idea it was part of a series. I still didn’t know when I started creating this post. What this can tell you is that it works beautifully as a stand-alone novel. There was no information dump letting you in on past happenings in the series, nor any other hint that something came before. I did fall in love with the spunky, highly pregnant librarian, and it turns out her story was in the second volume of the Little Bridge Island series. I will be picking up the other two novels to spend more time in the sweet little town.

I award No Words 4 out of 5 stars. If Jo had been a bit more likable, this would easily have been a 5-star book for me, but I couldn’t get past her childish behavior. I recommend this novel to anyone who loves romance in a sultry sea town full of charming and enticing bits of history. Pick this one up for a great weekend of romance reading.

Little Bridges Island Library is having a book festival and Kitty Katz author Jo Wright isn’t sure she she go, especially if her nemesis Will Price is going to be there. A fun book themed romance. ARC from NetGalley.

Thank you to NetGalley for the arc. I was a little disappointed in this book. The writing felt more juvenile and not like adults, so the tone was off. I enjoyed the writing/author references and the enemies to lovers idea but the romance didn't feel believable. I was particularly looking forward to the dyslexic rep but it also floundered a bit for me. This one was a miss for me.

I loved this book so much. It had me laughing out loud multiple times and I finished it in like 3 hours… I loved the author element and how all of them got along and supported each other through it. Jo and Will’s banter and little moments were so cute. The side characters were great and didn’t let Jo get away with anything. I love this little island and will definitely need to visit again.

I love Meg Cabot! This is the third book in the Little Bridge Island series.

This book definitely teaches that you shouldn’t judge a book or it’s author by its cover. Jo Wright and Will Price are both authors in different genres. Jo had always swore she’d never step foot on Little Bridge Island because Will Price, is living there. He made a disparaging remark about her writing that she won’t forgive him for.

Then Jo’s given an offer she can’t refuse: an all-expense paid trip to speak and sign at the island’s first ever book festival. Even though arrogant Will is the last person Jo wants to see, she could really use the festival’s more-than-generous speaking fee. She’s suffering from a crippling case of writer’s block on the next installment of her bestselling children’s series, and her father needs financial help as well.

Will Jo and Will run into each other? Can Jo ever forgive him for what he said? I really enjoyed the characters. There are several background characters that really bring this book together!

Romantic fun book in this ongoing series. I loved the literary aspects of these characters and the peaks at former couples from Little Bridge Island. Highly recommend!

No Words is the newest book by Meg Cabot of Princess Diaries fame. This quick read is everything you could ask for in a book meant to make you smile.

The main characters are authors who are attending a book festival on an island in Florida. Jo is the author of a very successful series of preteen books about a cat. Will is the author of adult romance series. Jo doesn't like Will ever since he dissed her series and claimed books for children are not true literature. But when they meet, sparks fly.

This book has humor, heart, characters who are relatable and likeable (and some who are purposefully not) and it is a quick read for someone who wants a mostly light hearted read with the enemies to lovers trope.
