This is a cute book about bug facts that you learn in the bug club. I think this is a cute little book that kids could learn a lot from.

The Bug Club by Elise Gravel is a wonderful non-fiction book! I enjoyed this book and the cute illustrations. It is very informative and great for all ages but especially for young readers.

An amusingly illustrated book full of fun facts about all sorts of insects. This is not a comprehensive book of knowledge by any means, but it's a great, quick read for bug fans of any age--and even for not-so-fans, like me!

Gravel shares information about some of her favorite bugs. The artwork is realistic but has some cartoon style overtones that elementary level readers will appreciate. The facts are presented in easy to follow paragraphs and bullet points. A set of other facts is included at the end as are some illustrations of imaginary bugs. Readers can use this book as a starting point for their own insect explorations; Gravel even offers a suggestion for how to study bugs at the end of the book.
A solid addition to elementary school libraries for mid to upper elementary level readers.

This book is a compilation of the author's favorite facts about bugs. The art is adorable and there is so much information. It had bugs in the book that I haven't heard of, so I learned a lot. It was cute, but didn't dumb down the facts or the vocabulary which I absolutely love in nonfiction books for younger audiences.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I love all of Elise Gravel's bug book and was thrilled to receive her newest The Bug Club. This title was another fun read that was both gross and interesting, and kids will love it.

Another adorable book by Elise Gravel! After enjoying “The Mushroom Fan Club” I was excited to read this one too. The illustrations are a delight and the positive attitude toward bugs is refreshing. As someone who spends half of her swim time rescuing bugs from the water this book made me really happy. I would recommend this book to any kid who is curious about bugs and doesn’t know much about them yet. I would also recommend this as a read aloud.

This was really cute. The illustrations are warm and friendly and just made me smile. I think this would be a great read along, with some bug drawing of our own to go along with it.

This isn’t a dry book. The illustrations are fun and engaging, and the book is full of gross and strange bug facts. Gravel does a fantastic job of sharing a subject she loved as a child while demystifying bugs for young kids. Bugs are fascinating, and there were definitely some exclamations from my young review partner. This may become a favorite book for libraries to have on their shelves or for young future etymologists.

Super charming and funny. Great for kids who love weird stuff, but also gentle enough to give some comfort to kids who might be afraid of bugs. I really like the way Gravel asks young readers questions throughout the book, encouraging them to try things and create art of their own. The only thing I wish for is a few more spreads that are cartoony and scientific at the same time, like the extremely cool snail diagram.

If you have a child who is into insects or you think should be, this is a charming book of cute illustrations and interesting facts about the author's favourite specimens. The author/illustrator guides the reader on an entomological tour of the most fascinating 'bugs' (the author is Canadian, so some insect names may be unfamiliar to UK readers, like referring to woodlice as 'pillbugs' ).

There's a little humor, lots of stylized drawings, and the information is beautifully presented. It's a perfect little book for exactly what it is, and with the author's clear enthusiasm for the subject, it's made me a little more appreciative of how interesting insects actually are!

This was SO much fun, and I think will be a hit for young readers. I loved the fun drawings and the personal touches that Elise adds throughout. I found myself reading these facts about bugs out loud to my family, so I learned something too!

Super cute and informative! I loved the illustrations and definitely would have loved this graphic novel when I was a curious kid who thought bugs were super weird and cool and probably aliens.

Such a fun book! Non-fiction, but written in a chatty first-person style with bright cartoon-style illustrations which would be perfect from early years up. Including an introduction, key facts and even a section on imaginary insects, this might not be a comprehensive account packed with information and realistic diagrams, but it makes up for it in charm and child-friendly chat.
