The story of three women and their lives over 20 years, their marriages and their secrets that can tear their families apart. As always with this author beautifully written so that you are really engaged in their lives and what turns they are going to take, a heartwarming story that you don't want to leave
Three very different women who have three different kinds of marriages and are three different kinds of mothers. We are reminded how little we know one another and how tiny our understanding of one another’s marriages is—even when we are as close as friends can be.
. There’s a great deal that distinguishes Steph, Teresa and Evie, and yet they are friends, whose lives take them on different paths and whose secrets threaten to drive them apart
Trust no one
Thank you so much to Netgalley, Kerry Fisher and Bookouture for an early copy of this read, for my honest review.
I love waiting for Kerry Fisher's newest book to hit the shelves, and this one did not disappoint. Kerry Fisher is such a talent, and I absolutely adore each of her books, characters and her stories.
As always, I was completely enthralled with the cast, the story line and how the story evolved. I love reading books about friendships, women and how life moves for each of them. The author really knows how to bring each of the stories to life, and you can feel the emotions coming out of the pages.
As always, I have this author on my favorite list, and can't wait for the next one.
This is a story of three women's friendship , told across different times in theor lives. Their friendship put to test by secrets hidden. I am honestly unsure how I feel about this book as I did enjoy parts of the story, yet sections of it and the characters frustrated me. At times I struggled to continue reading .
Thanks NetGalley, Bookouture and Kerry Fisher for an ARC to review.
As Steph reaches 60 she is questioning her life's choices and remaining options.
Twenty years ago three women were inseparable until one eventful weekend that broke them up.
An emotional heartbreaking tale about friendship, what appears to be picture perfect while it's not, new beginnings, courage and hope.
I loved it but so much hated Steph's husband Mal.
Oh what a gem! This is a story of friendship between 3 women; it starts when their boys are toddlers and well into their sixties. In any group of friends, there are some you prefer, some you can’t stand and you cope with their significant ones. Now what happens when faith let’s you discover a secret that may hurt one of your friend? Do you tell or keep and hope for the best? This book deals with the ramifications of life through different personalities, conflict, loss and betrayal.
I enjoy when I have no expectations at all and discover such a rich story.. I loved these women, loved to read about their difficulties and their decisions and how it impacted the rest of their life’s.
I do recommend this one and I am now interested in reading other Kerry Fisher novels. Many seem very captivating and I will look for them, but my To be a read pile is very long…..

Three best friends keeping secrets from each other. Losing friendships. Leaving husbands. 3 different parenting styles. Lots of judgment going on.
Told from each or the 3 different POV's. But from 3 different timelines. I like 2 different timelines. Even though the author was very explicit as to who it was and when. My brain just couldn't handle it. That is the only reason why it lost a star.
I'm sorry. There is too much to give away. Read the synopsis on Amazon or Goodreads.

Steph, Teresa and Evie met at a playgroup for their sons in the 1980s. Steph is brash, spontaneous and takes a laissez-faire approach to parenting as she pursues a career in the travel industry. She provides a foil to the calm and collected Teresa as well as Evie, whose demanding husband has left her somewhat downtrodden and reserved.
Over the years, the three women share a close friendship, even enjoying family holidays together. But by the time of Steph’s 60th birthday - the opening scene of the book - Steph is contemplating leaving her husband, and Evie is no longer part of her life.
The story alternates between several timeframes to outline what went wrong over the intervening years. It’s an emotional and relatable story about friendship, marriage and secrets, one in which I very easily became invested in the characters’ lives.
I was not a fan of this book. I'm definitely in the minority. I hated the characters. I'm not sure Steph, Evie and Theresa were even friends. Theresa liked having Steph all to herself and didn't seem like she wanted Evie and Steph to reconnect. Theresa and Evie should have told Steph what they knew. Their justifications were weak. It felt like no one was actually happy in the book. The husbands were awful, except for Paul. Then there was Wendy. She somehow got to go on all of trips, never paid for anything and always complained. Her actions were despicable. The story was slow and nothing much happens.
Give the book a try, it just wasn't for me. I have loved the authors previous books and look forward to reading more.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bookouture through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
OTHER PEOPLE’S MARRIAGES was a spellbinding meditation of close female relationships. Fisher’s characterisation is incredible and I loved the diversity of age in this book. This, wrapped around an absorbing and compelling narrative, made for the sort of comforting and satisfying read I’ve come to expect of this author.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
Three women, their husbands, their children, their lives, their secrets. This is a really enjoyable read. Three very different women meet in a playgroup and their lives, loves, passions and sadness become intertwined. Beautifully observed, so much so that at times I found myself relating to the emotions and thoughts, Steph, Teresa and Evie, characters that will live on with you long after you’ve finished the book

This book is something very different from my usual reads. I enjoyed it more that I thought I would to be honest.
It’s well written and the characters grow so much on me I couldn’t stop reading until I found out where everything was going in the end.
I wish I had friends like that. I felt sad for Steph and for what happened back in 1995, but I’m happy that she reconnected with her lost friends, Evie and Teresa.
I’ll be honest, I’ve left my birth place many years ago and while living in three different European countries, I’ve lost so much over the years and especially lots of friendships. This book surely made me stop and think about everything. Life choices and past decisions that could’ve changed the course of nowadays life, but while I’m happy where I am now (including my marriage), I miss that lost connection.
I’m happy that I had the chance to read this book because it fulfilled my heart with so much love and gratefulness.
4.5 stars
Arc review from the publisher and netgalley
Other People's Marriages by Kerry Fisher was another beautifully written book by Kerry. She knows how to tell a story and to have people gripped within the first few pages. This book is a great family drama, this time is about three women, Evie, Theresa and Steph. they all meet at a local toddler group which lead to a long friendship with each other, It all started when they were in the twenties to now in their sixth plus years. We all learn about each others ups and downs and how they always help each other through it.
They all have secrets they try and keep from each other but Steph and Evie fell out for many years and have not spoken to each other since!
Theresa tries so hard to get them back as friends - But does she succeed?
I loved all the characters and they all played a great parts within this book. I loved it!
I highly recommend this book and all the books I have read or listened to by Kerry Fisher.
Big thank you to NetGalley and especially to Bookouture for the much appreciated arc in return for an honest review
A remarkable and dramatic novel showing a woman at a crossroads, one that leads her to reunite with an old friend, possible at the cost of her already fragile marriage.
The story is Teresa, Steph and Evie who met at a toddler group with their three babies and have become lifelong friends. The tale lasts through till the ladies reaching their sixties as we learn about their lives and families with a few twists and turns. A nice enjoyable read.
This is the story of 3 women's friendship, spanning many years. It tells of secrets kept, then revealed, arguments then forgiveness. It took me a while to realise I had to read the title of each chapter, as there were times I didnt know whos chapter it was!
I have read and enjoyed this author before and this was no exception. Really loved the story of these women and their friendship.
I just love Kerry's writing. Every time a new release comes out it goes to the top of my pile! This latest family drama did not disappoint. A fabulous read with such relatable characters. It was good to read about an older age group, A gripping family saga of three friends that spreads from the 80's to current time. Secrets and loyalty lead to a terrible conclusion. Some laugh out loud moments along with the real stories of marriage. A really lovely written book - I envy anyone who has it to read.
Other People’s Marriages is a captivating story that surrounds the life of three women – Teresa, Steph and Evie, who meet one another at a baby and toddler group in 1984. With every passing year, the friendship these women share grows deeper. But that all takes a drastic change when what should be a fun filled group holiday results in a rift between Steph and Evie. Following the fallout of the holiday, it is twenty-three years until the women see one another again.
We then find our self in the present day where we meet Steph once again. Now in her sixties, Steph finds herself questioning everything about her marriage with Mal, and if that isn’t enough drama for her, she also gets herself over involved in her son’s marriage too.
The story then takes us through various timelines and allows us to see the story from different perspectives too as we catch up with Teresa and Evie and their relationships too. Just as we know from real life, relationships are never perfect – whether that be romantic or a friendship, and this story certainly takes you on a journey alongside these characters.
This book is full of drama and intrigue from the moment you turn the first page. Each of the characters faces their own troubles, most of which are hidden behind closed doors, showing that not everyone’s lives are as perfect as they might appear from the outside. The storyline itself is so detailed and realistic, you can practically picture the scenes playing out before your eyes as you become fully engaged in the lives of these characters that are brought to life on the pages of this book.
A dramatic story that has me hooked to the very end. Full of tension and deceit, this is an unforgettable read.
Loved this beautiful, poignant book. What a story. Written so beautifully with such heart. Love this author and every one of her wonderful, versatile, stunningly written stories, especially this one.
