Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Clare accepts a new job to find a missing woman in a small town. The more she digs for answers, the more questions she has. Thus book kept me on the edge of my seat.
I really enjoyed this book, I found the characters tough but evocative, just when I started to like a character they did something which made me re-evaluate! I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series and finding out more of Amy’s past. I like that drug use was mentioned but not glorified or vilified more of a nod as in, this is the situation and no one really likes it, it’s just the way it is - in this small town.
I really loved this story and found it suspenseful and thrilling. The location was fantastic and really added to the feel of the book. Brilliant and well written HIghly recommend this book.
Well written psychological thriller with a creepy setting, I can understand why the reviewers are divided on this. At times, Clare and the people of the town seem a bit contrived but the book ultimately worked for me because of Stuart's writing and, frankly, the plot. It actually raised some interesting questions and hit topical concerns, such as drug addiction in small towns. THanks to netgalley for the ARC.
I have to admit I struggled with this book. I had a hard time connecting to the characters. There was a mystery and action, enough to keep me reading to find out how it would end, but it wasn’t a book that I couldn’t put down. It is a good portrayal of small town life, everyone in other peoples business. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
Personally I love a missing persons book and read a lot of them! This book was right down my alley! The beginning started off a bit slow for me! But like many others it quickly picked up the pace and before I knew it I was done with this great thriller!
Really enjoyed this book! Thanks NetGalley Publishers and author for this great advanced readers copy
A missing girl. A girl running. One may be able to save the other. If she can survive the small town and herself. Who did it and why?
I enjoyed this book for the most part. It's a good read, there are a few spots that seem confusing or rambly but for the most part it was good. Definitely good for anyone that like a mystery and some action
Growing up in a small bush town, I couldn't help love the characters and the location of this book! It reminded me so much of home! This was my first Amy Stuart book and I read it because I had gotten an ARC of Still Water and wanted to read this first. I'm glad I did because you are introduced to the main character Clare, and her story starts to comes out a little bit in each book. We still don't know everything about Clare and Malcolm which keeps me very interested in reading more of this series ! I'm usually not a fan of books that revolve around missing person's, but I really loved this book. It was a thrill ride and enjoyed Amy's writing. I found this story to be very original, I did not expect the ending. Can't wait to read more and highly recommend.
I went back and forth with reviewing this book, the plot and storyline was decent it had suspense, action, drama, plenty of drug use lol and while I did enjoy reading this book it just wasn't like omg that book was awesome! Its definitely worth reading and I think plenty will really like it! But for me it was just ok?! I would recommend it but not as one of my top favorites! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
