Although the series is only mentioned in the notes at the beginning of each recipe, this is a charming small collection of recipes. While the teatime sections are particularly good, there are also recipes for main dishes and drinks.
What a fantastic book! Even though it’s inspired by Bridgerton, this is the quintessential tea party recipe book. There are recipes for every skill level, guaranteed to please your guests! There are plenty of pictures! The recipes feature canapes, scones, tea time sweets, cocktails, and dinner party dishes!
I know this is a cookbook, so I can’t really wish for a chapter covering entertaining tips and table setting for the ultimate experience, but I can’t help thinking that this would make this book even better!
Disclaimer: I first read it as an ARC. In exchange for an honest review, I am thankful to Dahlia Clearwater, Skyhorse Publishing, and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of Teatime at Grosvenor Square.
What a treat of a cookbook! I loved watching Bridgerton and this book of recipes will really get you into a regency vibe - I've never come across an actual blancmange recipe before!
There are so many options to try and attempt to wow your guests with. My only issue is that a lot of the baked goods call for a food processor which I don't own, so I'll be doing more by hand.
The cocktail section was a nice surprise too, not something you see in every cookbook.
I'm off to the kitchen to try my hand at the Macarons!
This cookbook was a delight to read through, with plenty of Bridgerton references to be entertaining and fun to read.
The pictures are stunning!! And, the recipes each sound suitably fancy and special enough for a special occasion, but still easy and accessible for most anyone to make.
I think this book would make a really nice gift for Bridgerton (and even Great British Bake Off) fans.
Not being familiar with Bridgerton saga, Ido have an appreciation for tea and all it's wonderful food accompaniments! This is going to go into my tea time recipe book collection! I can't wait to see the book's photos in color- so many wonderful (and tasty!) recipes to try in the coming year! Canapes to dinner parties and everything in between!
I got this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I love it! Loved it!
This little cookbook comes out in perfect time when we are all having hangover from watching the show. All the receptive stuff are so cute, photography is lovely, really gives you that Bridgerton look! I had tried some of the cocktails, delicious and such a fun addition to a cookbook. I really appreciated having drink included, as they are so often overlooked.
I made a promise that i will try out bunch of these recipes and for sure i will, they seem perfect for entertaining and high tea!
I highly recommend this colorful cookbook, such a fun grift for a Bridgerton fan in your life!
This is a really fun recipe book for anyone who’s a fan of the Regency Era. Are the recipes historically accurate? Of course not. If they were, the ingredients would be very difficult to acquire, they would taste terrible to most modern pallets, and it would take at least half a day to make them. This book offers modern versions that are inspired by that particular time period. So, if you’re having a Bridgerton watch party, or just want to set the mood while snuggling up with a good Regency book, this gives you a lot of tasty options. Pictures are included for about half the recipes, and my attempt at red currant queen cakes came out quite nicely.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
While I have not seen Bridgerton yet, I’ll fix that with a Tea binge-watch party with my closest friends and we’ll be enjoying a selection from this book. Tea is always a good thing in my book, but even better when it’s enjoyed with friends.
There’s plenty of recipes to accommodate all tastes and appetites. I’ll be making a selection of canapés, sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, lemon curd, sweet treats, tea and cocktails for the event and I cannot wait! I have missed high tea during the pandemic and, like many other things I started doing myself since we were locked down, why not make high tea myself too. A great first big get together for all of my vaccinated friends who are ready to binge on this series and some treats.
This is so fun! If you've ever read a historical romance novel and wanted to eat what the characters are eating, this is for you. Lots of Regency style recipes that are easy to follow, with fun little blurbs that tie them to the Bridgerton series. The book also has lots of great pictures. I'll be trying all the scone recipes for sure!
Excellent, a winner.
Teatime at Grosvenor Square is beautifully illustrated with easy to follow recipes. There are recipes for jams, spreads, even scones. Beautiful imagery and a great coffee table book.
Well done!
This is such a cool premise for a cookbook! I love the modernized versions of what would be served at teas for the aristocracy, honestly this book made me want to host a high tea! I've saved lots of recipes and can't wait to try them out!
THank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.
This is the perfect antidote to the never -ending wait for the second season of Bridgerton. This is a beautiful book which has a wealth of recipes to make your own meals and occasions befitting of a mention in Lady Whistledown's pamphlet.
Teatime at Grosvenor Square is a stunning collection of recipes based on the Bridgerton series. With a great selection of recipes for any occasion and beautiful photographs, this book is extremely aesthetically pleasing.
The recipes felt well constructed and easy to understand. This was a fun and creative selection of recipes!

This is a cute cook book!
There are pictures of each recipe, which is something I like. There's a variety of recipes for tea time from cakes, entrees, hot chocolate, and cocktails. Some of the recipes are a bit time intensive, but there's instructions for each and a short description of how the recipe relates back to the show.
Overall it's a fun cook book for tea time sweets and savory bites!
A very cute cookbook that will thrill the fans of the series. The recipes are simple and look beautiful. Many of the inspired French recipes are not quite to my taste.... being half French and knowing the real deal, but it looks the part and I'm sure most people will be happy with that. In any case, all of this is easier to do than the real deal. In fact, this reminds me more of traditional British meals, and in a way it makes sense. I think this will also please watchers of the English Heritage Youtube channel with Mrs Crocombe. A fun short book to make impressive tea parties.
Beautiful cookbook and the recipes look amazing! I love the photos and i'll definitely try some of these recipes. I haven't watched the show yet but it's on my list now after this cookbook. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review
This book is promoted for fans of Bridgerton. I have never seen the show but enjoy good tea time foods so you can still enjoy this cookbook without having seen the show. I have experienced High Tea several times in some really nice places. This book will allow you to have a beautiful tea service at home with family and friends. These recipes are delightful and beautifully created. Every attention to detail is included. Whether they are finished off with edible flowers or herbs they are gorgeous. And these are not your mother's cucumber sandwiches; there are hardy crostinis and filling tartlets. Oh and the scones! You can't have a tea without scones. There are several different types to choose from. And you must have clotted cream and jam to go with the scones. They have you covered for those too. Desserts are covered as well. You can have a tower of macaroons, tartlets and trifles.
I received Teatime as Grosvenor Square as part of a NetGalley giveaway.
In the spirit of Bridgerton and other British historical romances, Teatime at Grosvenor Square is a selection of mostly teatime-ready sweets and small bites for your next watch party or book club session.
The recipes and ingredients are accessible to even novice chefs. Measurements are Imperial/American, though there is a conversion chart in the back. All in all, a cute, well-themed cookbook that can be used to create a fun setting/themed event, but also as inspiration for appetizers and treats for more generic parties.
How delicious! As a fan of the Bridgerton books, show, and all things tea and cake, this cookbook was delightful. This would be a lovely gift for a friend. The recipes are very easy to follow and the photos are gorgeous. The little Bridgerton references smattered throughout the cook book were very fun. I made the cranberry brie bites and they were so easy and delicious. I would recommend this book for any Bridgerton fans looking to host a fabulous afternoon tea.
