This book took an interesting concept. Seeing the world from a different perspective, especially when trying to convince children that feeling small is all about perspectives. I think I would have felt better if this book was shorter. For a children's book, it was long and dragged on, and so losing focus on the main point of the "story". I am unsure it will keep the children reading (or parents reading if their children get bored). The illustrations were nice to me but I struggled with the font.
We live in a big world with many small worlds in it.
A picture book about perspective using big and small. It is easy for children to feel small in a big world and each page will give your child new eyes to see how they fit into the big picture. It also opens the door for conversation. It is a book that will engage the mind with curiosity and awe.
A special thank you to Kids Can Press and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
A cute picture book to teach kids to think in different perspective.
I enjoy reading this one!
“We live in a big world with many small world in it"!
I couldn’t really get into this book.
The art was okay. (Kinda weird, but hey, some people like that!), but I agree with some other reviews that it kind of dragged on and wasn’t very engaging.
Can You See Me? was cute but it was a bit too long and it only skimmed the surface of a "book about feeling small". I feel like it could have had a better morale.
Thank you NetGalley for the free ebook copy in exchange of a honest review.
This book is done really well and I liked the premise. It was a bit hard to piece together though because the layout wasn't how it would be as picture book laid out in front of you. Can't wait to see it in person when its published.
Thanks NetGalley for this ARC!
A big thank you to NetGalley and Kids Can Press for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a children's book. I think mostly for pretty young kids. As it is about size. It is an interesting perspective, and I found the illustrations nice but overall it didn't hit me with a big WOW! 3 stars
A fun, quick story for young children showing that perspective is important when we consider the size of the world around us. The illustrations were super cute, too!
I also really liked that this was a translated title and hope to be able to read more books like this for young readers!
A beautiful book for children all about perspective. The artwork in this book was absolutely beautiful and the story was very engaging. This is a book my 3 and 5 year olds will read over and over. Wonderful!
Hmmm... A look at scale, that offers lots of trivial examples (if we were the size of an elephant we could jump over a rhino, or something – I got a bit lost there, I think) without really pinning down any useful fact. Also, quite a visually unattractive look. A pass on this one from me.
In this picture book, the narrator asks the audience to consider perspective from multiple different animals and insects. Peppered with facts and adorable illustrations, this is a fun picture book that challenges the way we look at the world relative to size.
So cute!
Art work was beautiful and the story was so precious. My four year old and two year old loved it
Great book about perspective and how one needs to look closely at something. Things that are small to some can seem huge to something or someone else and vice versa. Small things live in a big world, and big things live among small worlds. It’s all in how we perceive them. Look closely and imagine what it’s like in a smaller/larger world.
Can You See Me - this book helps teach little ones about size and it's relativity to other things. Something might appear small or large depending on what's next to it or where it's at. The same goes for our kids, right? Sometimes kids are small and some are large, but that all depends on life. The pictures in this book are adorable - I honestly would like to hang some of the photos on the wall in a frame in my kids' rooms. This book is charming. I'm a mom of 2 (2 year old, and 9 month old) - for a little bit older child. Maybe a child in Kindergarten or 1st grade.
