Don't let my low star rating intimidate you. This book does have promising aspects that I liked more than Spoiler Alert.
The negatives lie heavily in the first 25% of this book. There's a lot of five-star ratings already out for this book but I find the first quarter of this book lacking romance. The love interest is quite frankly, a jerk. I get we're supposed to see him as a good person and maybe just misunderstood by everyone but that first quarter the main characters weren't compatible.
I heard this has been pitched as an enemies to lovers (opposites attract)? I don't see it. The first quarter has the main love interest repeatedly criticizing Lauren and for what? It wasn't funny or charismatic. It was overall a bit rude he kept pointing out her "flaws" in the dialogue and his subconscious. Marcus, from Spoiler Alert, is even shown emphasizing this to our dear "Cupid" who couldn't be more oblivious. I feel if we remove the first quarter of this book this might pass more as a friends-to-lovers? If Alex criticizing Lauren was meant to be the enemies portion, I felt it was more condescending than it was cute 'enemies' theming.
Also, while it improved after the first quarter, I still feel it was paced wrong. The last paragraph of the synopsis gives away an important moment in the plot that I believe should've been left to the reader to discover. The road trip moments were fun, part of me wishes that there were more of those scenes in the book.
Overall, I don't think I'll continue reading works by Olivia Dade which is a shame as I usually love novels published by Avon Books.

All the Feels was such a great book! If you have not read Spoiler Alert, I highly recommend you read it before this book, since the events of the book overlap. You kind of get a full 360 view between the two books.
I really liked the dynamic between Alex and Lauren. The relationship is definitely more of a slow burn so if you like slow burns, you will love this.
Like in Spoiler Alert, this book has lots to do with fandom and fanfiction. Between the inclusion of the television show in the book and the fanfiction stories, you really get a feel of Hollywood and fandom culture in the fanfic community.
What I really like about Olivia Dade's writing is how she really develops her characters. They have a lot of depth to them. She gives her characters great backstories that lead into where they are now.
Olivia Dade also DOES NOT go light on the spice in her books. I love a good spicy romance and her scenes are so enjoyable.
All the Feels is on sale November 16th!

By far I can say this is one of the funniest books I've ever read. Imagine a character not only knowing about fanfiction but writing it and acknowledging when a trope is happening?! It was amazing!

This story follows Alex and Lauren. Alex is an actor who, in short words, needs a babysitter to oversee his actions. That person is Lauren, a lovable plus-sized confident heroine. The characters also have struggled with some form of mental illness including ADHD for Alex. The representation was amazing.

This lovable story will have you swooning, laughing, and even tearing up. The way Alex is so vocal and self-aware while Lauren is more quiet and serious makes the perfect mix for chemistry. This is also somewhat of a slow burn but you can see their love building up throughout the story.
Thank you to Avon for an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.
All the Feels was another great installment of Olivia Dade's Spoiler Alert series. I love the way she creates plus-size characters who are loveable and desirable. I really loved Alex as a side character in the first book, and I was excited to see him get his own HEA in book 2! His relationship with Lauren developed in a really sweet way, and I thought they both had great chemistry. Overall this was a fun read!
Is it too cliché to say that “All The Feels” gave me all the feels?
Following “Spoiler Alert” this delightful rom-com follows a television star, and the ex ER therapist hired to keep him in line. An absolute joy to read from beginning to end! Dade is absolutely one of my new auto-buy authors’
I absolutely LOVED the first book in this series, so ALL THE FEELS had a big act to follow and it was good, but didn't quite hit me the way the first book did.
Lauren (Wren) is a plus size female lead that I am certain many readers will find relatable, while others (like myself), absolutely love her but also find her total lack of self esteem a bit hard to read. She does eventually begin to realize her own worth, but only in the last 5% of the book. For many, this will ring true to their own experience as a forgotten and/or often fat-shamed woman. And we absolutely need representation of that experience in books. But for my personally, it was a real struggle to read. But isn't that what book reviews are? You read through the lens of your own experiences and your own wants and needs.
Alexander was much more likable for me, even when he starts off in such a flawed state. He ends up being hilarious and wickedly smart, but also compassionate and sometimes rash. Another part of their story that I found personally hard to read was their teasing and banter (which is a very important part of their relationship) sometimes felt too mean to me. Especially because the Heroine sopends the entirety of the book being constantly verbally assaulted by everyione around her, even her family. Even after these two have fallen in love, Wren says, "I don't understand." to which Alex replies, "Jeez, you're slow." That kind of teasing felt over-the-line for me, personally.
These two have great chemistry, but not great romantic chemistry. Yes, their loathing turns to friendship, but I didn't see the friendship turning to love or passion on the page.
There are so many great things about ALL THE FEELS. I loved representation of ADHD in a main character. Both main characters DID learn and grow during the story, just not quickly enough for my liking. There were plenty of truly funny, snort-laugh moments and also care taken with the dynamics of abusive domestic relationships and mental health issues.
All said, ALL THE FEELS was a good read, but not a great read for my taste. But other readers might absolutely love it.
God of the Gates star Alex Woodroe is a bit of a loose cannon. Following a string of unfortunate events that caused some bad publicity, the showrunners assign him a minder. Lauren Clegg has burned out from her ER therapist job. After the things she has previously dealt with, following around an impulsive star and keeping him out of trouble should be easy.
All the Feels is an absolute delight. It's hilarious, all the characters are fantastic, the pacing is perfect, the banter is amazing, it's all-around excellent. Alex is relentless and a spot-on depiction of someone who has ADHD. I love his drive, intentions, and protective nature. Lauren felt so real and relatable with the different personal issues she faced. I could feel her indifference, resolution, determination, and defeat, it all came through wonderfully. Huge points that she's not considered conventionally beautiful too. The development of their relationship was subtle but extremely well done. Everything about this book is wonderful, it's an excellent read that really made my heart happy.
Opposites attract in this funny, steamy Hollywood fairy tale of a gorgeous TV star falling for the unusual woman assigned to keep him in line. The characters have depth and rich backstories, as well as great chemistry, and it's lovely to see someone outside the idealized concepts of beauty in a lead romantic role. A very enjoyable follow-up to Spoiler Alert. I'd love to read more in this world!
Thank you so much for an advanced copy of All the Feels.
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Star Rating: 3 stars
I was so excited to read this book. While it is a solid three star romance read in my opinion, it did leave me feeling somewhat underwhelmed. I thought the storyline was decently engaging, and the characters were interesting. But, I found it hard for me to buy Into the romance of the story.
For a romance book, buying into the relationship between the two main characters is pretty essential...and the chemistry just fell flat for me. I know a lot of people really enjoyed the first book in this series (Spoiler Alert), and I've seen a lot of love for this book already on GoodReads and Bookstagram. For me, though, this just wasn't that good of a romance. It kept my attention for the most part, but it wasn't particularly memorable and it doesn't really stand out from the pack of romance books I've read this year.
Overall, I would say this is a good read if you're a fan of the first book or looking for a romance to read. If you're a bit choosy about what you read, though, you'll probably find better stories out there to keep your attention as well as other books with a stronger chemistry between the characters.
I loved spoiler alert so much and couldn't wait to get this one in my hands and it did not disappoint!
This book was SUCH a delight and so much better than I was expecting! I never wanted to put it down, and it really did give me all the feels. Plus, one of the main characters, Alex, had ADHD and I am so here for that rep! I have never come across a fiction book that tackles that topic so thoroughly, and it was so well done as well. And while Alex was an actor, Lauren was a mental health clinician, and I loved that aspect of it too. And then the romance was fire, so this book was just all around perfect for me. I highly recommend it!
I had a great time reading this book. I gave it 4 stars. I actually liked it more than Spoiler Alert.
This book is about Lauren who is an ER therapist who is taking a break because she is burned out and Alex who is an actor.
Lauren is hired by her cousin to watch and make sure Alex stays out of trouble before the final episode of the show is aired. This is out of her comfort zone because it means a lot of exposure and people can be mean since she is overweight. She has learned to deal with what people say but it still hurts.
Alex isn’t thrilled that he has a babysitter. He does make the best of it. He has no problem with her weight but he does has an angry issue.
They learn how to best get along and enjoy themselves as they do. Lots of things happen and you have a ball learning them some are good and some aren’t.
I really enjoyed Spoiler Alert so was excited to read this second installment! I really struggled with the book and with writing the review. However, it may just be a case of a “not for me”!
I enjoyed the progression of the romance between Alex and Lauren. And the banter was funny. I loved how they were able to get to know each other and form a friendship that progressed into a relationship. I also loved the connection they built and I felt Lauren made Alex feel heard and understood for the first time in a while.
The main issue I had was the insults to Lauren’s appearance and at times intelligence. I think it just caught me off guard because I wasn’t expecting those types of insults; especially at their age. I didn’t feel like there was as much of an arc for the characters as I would have wished for. I still enjoyed Olivia’s writing and will most likely pick you her next one!
Thank you to Avon for the advanced copy.
"Sh**, Wren. Why are you literally the size of a squirrel? Did you choose not to grow out of sheer, stubborn maliciousness? Because I wouldn't put it past you"
I really really enjoyed this book so much. I thought it was more entertaining and cute than Spoiler Alert. I loved this sort of enemies to friends to lovers kind of trope, Alex is hilarious and they both had just great banter and chemistry throughout the whole book, even when they barely knew each other you could still feel sparks flying everywhere. Dade managed yet again to deliver a great plus size female character, Lauren although seemed so strong on the outside, words about her physicality still made a dent in her armor and she really tried to not let it show either because it didn't matter or because she didn't feel worthy enough to fight back. I found myself identifying with that part of her because I have struggled with my self-image for a long time and some days I'm like “you know what I don't care what others think” kind of attitude, there are other times where one word tears me down, but i'm working on that. In Lauren’s case, she learned to differentiate the situations where she needed to defend herself and where she should pay no mind to what others think. Alex, has to be my new favorite book boyfriend, I liked how realistic his attitude was, because we all know that guys don't like to be vulnerable and always have a non healthy way to deal with that, for Alex was avoidance by talking and his erratic behavior, even when it was with the best intentions, but I still loved his quick thinking, his sarcasm, his heart, his protectiveness (big sigh) he was so delightful.
"You don't need to sacrifice your future to prove your love"
For a moment, I was worried, because I was halfway through and it seemed like the major drama had passed but I was wrong, I still had my emotions in turmoil in that last 25%. We still had some really heat inducing smut, more drama and LOL moments, that just tied this already great story. Totally recommended to all hopeless romantic and contemporary romance lovers.
" This is the best day of my f** life!" he shouted. "Only! One! Bed! My second-favorite trope!"
Thank you to Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the ARC.

All the Feels is the follow up to the insanely popular Spoiler Alert and follows Alexander, a charming, but reckless actor, and Lauren, a former ER therapist hired to keep him in line. This romance has the beloved grumpxsunshine trope AND the only one bed trope. Two classics.
While this was an adorable read and made me add Dade to my auto-buy authors, it was slightly too long. I felt it dragged a bit in the middle, which took away from the story. Alexander and Lauren were sweet, but they did lack the steam. However, this book made me laugh and, overall, I enjoyed it and look forward to what Olivia Dade writes next.

Olivia Dade is back in the Spoiler Alert series with All the Feels that follows the romance between Alexander Woodroe, an actor, and his handler, Lauren Clegg. When Alex's actions result in another fight outside of the set of Gods of the Gate (think Game of Thrones), one of the showrunners has his cousin, Lauren, act as Alex's handler. Lauren has to follow Alex everywhere until the final season airs to help make sure he doesn't have any other outbursts. When Lauren starts to spend time with Alex and get to know him, he learns that what the media reported on may not be the whole story and Alex isn't to blame. As they get closer, their connection starts to shift and the feelings between them can't be contained.
I was introduced to Olivia Dade's writing last year with Spoiler Alert, which I loved. I was so excited to read All the Feels and although I didn't love it as much as Spoiler Alert I still really enjoyed it. I liked the evolution of the relationship between Alex and Lauren and how we got to see their relationship change. As always communication is important and not something romance novels like to deal with, otherwise where would the drama be. I got annoyed by the constant bird-like description of Lauren and did you know she was short? Oh wait you did because it was mentioned SO SO many times. I do love that Olivia Dade includes women of all sizes in her novels and as love interests.
As with Spoiler Alert, Alex and Lauren have their own demons to overcome before they can be together. Lauren needs to believe in herself and not let her fatphobic cousin, and others, get under her skin. Alex needs to let the chip on his shoulder from his past heal because he wasn't to blame for what happened. Trigger warnings for fatphobia and domestic abuse.
I hope this isn't the last we see of the Gods of the Gate characters and the Spoiler Alert series, but only time will tell if there is more to tell. If there is sign me up for the next one.
I had high hopes for this book after Spoiler Alert and it did not disappoint! I love the characters, I love the story, and the inclusion of the one bed trope?! Absolutely! I’m so excited to grab a paperback of this when it comes out and continue my way through the rest of Olivia’s books :) #AllTheFeels #NetGalley
I absolutely loved this book! I nearly stayed up all night trying to finish but had to pass out and finish the last hour or so of it the next day. What great characters that you grow to really care for. Olivia Dade writes relatable characters with depth and flaws and issues and beauty. We, through her writing, become better people and learn to accept and love, not only others, but ourselves for who we are. Absolutely pick this one up!
A solid romance. I enjoyed it much more thoroughly than the first book, so if you were turned off by the first one I'd give this one a chance! Part of this is that Alex and Lauren have so much chemistry AND they interact in person. Dade writes their relationship as an unfurling flower, slowly and then all at once. I don't know if it's because I'm demi, but I always find romances like this one much more understandable. The slow burn of friendship to like to love really had me swooning. I also enjoyed that there were less fandom references in this one. I've been in fandoms since I was a child, but I hate books about them. I just find them cringy and unbearable; it was part of why I didn't particularly enjoy Spoiler Alert. But All The Feels had the right balance of fandom fun and IRL drama.
Thank you to NetGalley for an e-ARC of All The Feelings by Olivia Dade in exchange for an honest review.
I was really excited for this book and was pretty disappointed. I appreciate the book for what it is and the representation. My issues are largely due to technical issues related to character development and setting. I like the bones of the book, I personally just had a difficult time falling in love with the characters and wanting to root for them. I’m sure many people will love this book, it just ended up not being for me!
We’re first introduced to Alex and Lauren in Dade’s book, Spoiler Alert. In my experience reading romance series which follow different couples, each book works as a stand alone - the timelines don’t necessarily over lap and you don’t need to pick up all the books in the series to have a basic understanding of their world. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case in this situation which I personally felt was to the detriment of the story. All The Feelings didn’t feel grounded in reality. Part of this is due to the fact that the character development for both characters is not the greatest. Mostly we were told and not shown aspects of their personalities. And there was a lot of exposition through dialogue that unveiled things about the characters well into the book that we as the audience should’ve already known. And because the exposition was during dialogue it made it feel clunky and long. The other reason it didn’t feel grounded was because of the premise. Alex is a famous star in Hollywood staring in a popular show but I didn’t really believe that because again a lot of telling and not showing. I didn’t really understand what the show was about and it’s impact in pop culture. I’m very invested in pop culture so it’s typically difficult for me to suspend my disbelief about a fictional show and actors. And it seemed unrealistic that a producer could actually force a babysitter/handler for an actor. Wouldn’t you need their permission to be followed all the time? I guess Alex was blackmailed into accepting a handler because his job was on the line but it just felt so convenient for the plot line.
I personally didn’t like the characters because they didn’t feel well rounded. Lauren had a handful of scenes in the book with interactions with friends or family. We didn’t even have a scene involving her work or hobbies. The rest was just her and Alex. While this isn’t necessarily a negative in romance books, it becomes negative when you can’t imagine the character existing beyond the book and beyond the scenarios presented. I really don’t know if I fully grasped who Lauren is beyond her relationship to Alex. Alex specifically felt so immature for a man in his 30’s. While he was definitely written with the intention of being a silly / goofy guy, his goofiness simply came across more as rude/immature/ teenage boy kind of way. Additionally Alex writes and loves fan fiction for his own show but it seems unrealistic that a bunch of actors would read and write fan fiction. And while I love fan fiction and stories with that plot line, I didn’t enjoy it here. It basically felt as though fan fiction influenced the writing and story telling in every aspect and it is unfortunately a detriment to the execution. If Alex didn’t have a fan fiction hobby, it wouldn’t change much of the plot or important aspects of the book. He should’ve just ended up being a show runner or writer for the show himself if fan fiction was so integral to his personality. The book was in some instances self aware of the culture of fan fiction and common tropes but I didn’t really think it added to the book in a nuanced way.
Also some of the tropes used felt forced, partially because of the lack of chemistry between the two love interests and also because the scenarios were evident plot devices instead of organic scenarios (ie. having to sleep in the same bed and cuddle because the B&B had only one room available with one bed which also had a broken AC making the room freezing).
Specific examples of things I didn’t like about the characters:
- Alex spoke at the charity for the organization and it came across as white, cis, straight man savior complex
- Lauren mothers him way too much
- how Alex describes Lauren, ie shrimp woman, round, bird like
While I had trouble fully enjoying the book, I intend to pick up anything else Dade puts out.
