I don't know if I can adequately put into words just how much I love this book, but I will try. First, the cover is everything. I am so excited for more diversity in romance- including diverse body types. I was so sad to finish this book because I love the characters so much that I just wanted to hang out with them forever!
I really wanted to love Lauren & Alex’s story as much as I did Marcus & April, but it just lacked the substance and character development. It was also a bit too slow of my burn, with nothing really happening majorly until the 60% mark. At least give a little tease earlier!
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is a book where you need to have read the first in the series to follow along. I found this a lot choppier than [book:Spoiler Alert|50496918], and both characters really needed to undergo massive mental shifts in how they functioned and how they expressed their emotions. It was a really bumpy road, and even after the ending, my realist brain was strongly advocating for therapy for both MCs. But they both (kind of) got there in the end.
Alex was also a little hard to believe because it was incredibly evident that he was a man written by a woman. Most of the things he said or did felt almost caricaturish, or lines lifted from a TikTok on how the ideal man acts. I don't know if it's a bad thing, but definitely go in with a suspension of belief.
Dade goes out of their way to talk about how unconventional the heroine looks. Broken nose, plus sized body, RBF... But the way people reacted to her was akin to how the villagers reacted to Frankenstein's monster. I cannot imagine people being that cruel so consistently to someone's face, when, by all accounts, people who have spent more than 2 minutes in her company find her perfectly average looking. And this is also disconcerting when you see the cover image of an attractive woman.
But it's a still a fun, slow-burn of a read, and there are plenty of cute moments to make this worth a purchase/check out from your local library.

The chemistry between these isn't really believable. They seem more like good friends not like 'soul mates". Also the sex scenes between them seemed so out of place and not really added anything to the story.
Olivia Dade books always satisfy two things, romance and a bit of Greek history. These are so much fun. My favorite bits are the charts with the cast members, but I fell in love with the characters as well.
2.5 Stars
Lauren Clegg has just called it quits as an ER therapist after completely burning out. While recovering from burn-out she gets hired by her cousin to watch over his client Alexander Woodroe. Alex is a typical Hollywood star: rich, charming, sexy, and impulsive. His recent bar fight was the final straw and his intervention is Lauren. She is tasked with keeping Alex out of trouble and watching him 24/7.
Despite being complete opposites in every way, Lauren and Alex begin to connect and enjoy each other’s company. When Lauren begins to see Alex as more than a troublemaker, her job becomes less black and white.
This book did give me all the feels but not in the way I think it intended to. When I read the description and saw the cover I had to read this book. As a plus-sized woman, seeing a plus-sized woman on the cover gave me all the feels--in a good way. The woman on the cover is gorgeous.
I think I was a lost cause in the beginning after Alex meets and describes her as a “birdwoman.” Not only does he describe her as avian, with a crooked beak, but he goes on and on about it--going through different birds she could be. While he never comments on her size other than calling her round he says her eyes “were her only feature an honest observer could call pretty”..... WHAT?! What makes this worse is that these aren’t just thoughts---he says it...out loud. Not cool.
Alexander struggles with ADHD and the book did a decent job of incorporating those qualities and showing how that affects him. But it went to the extreme with it and had him unfairly immature and narcissistic. He lashes out at the slightest provocation and becomes violent; the book tries to redeem this by spinning it to seem altruistic.
The romance also leaves a lot to be desired. He describes her as round (instead of, say, curvy). And his thoughts on having sex with her are excited due to his imagining that if she’s on top of him….he wouldn’t be able to get up. Sigh.
I did love the quote “your lack of anger does not reliably indicate a lack of wrong done to you.” I love that Alex was trying to help Lauren see that she should stand up for herself. What would’ve made this effective is if Lauren was able to understand, process, and act on it; instead Alex does it for her.
Is this a love story or a story of dysfunction?
I love everything by Olivia Dade, but this one was hard for me to get into. The first half seemed really long with too much concentration on Lauren's appearance and I almost stopped reading, but then the second half was really good so I'm glad I finished!
"I am not a sex worker, and you are not my client. Thus, we cannot, as you so eloquently put it, 'Pretty Woman this shit.'"
5 freaking stars!
My first experience with an Olivia Dade book was Spoiler Alert, the first book in the Spoiler Alert series and I really enjoyed. I didn't think it was possible to top Marcus and April's story, but I was so so wrong. This book made me extremely happy throughout its entirety. I found the female MC Lauren to be extremely relatable, intelligent, and overwhelmingly thoughtful. Alex the male MC was hilariously charming, caring, and maybe a little preemptive to protect those he loves, but I found it endearing. Alex is unapologetically himself throughout the entire book and wears his heart on his sleeve. I have a serious weakness for emotionally available men and men who aren't afraid to cry. *swoon*
Dade has a way of bringing issues to life in a respectful and understandable way. In All the Feels, Dade tackles fat shaming and gives us a glimpse into the mentality of an overweight person (I know all too well). I felt that Lauren represented overweight women in a positive way showing that we all have the same thoughts: be small, don't let anyone notice you, don't stick up for yourself. However, she also shows us just how WRONG that mentality is. Lauren shows a change in her mentality not only due to her relationship with Alex, but within herself as well. Dade also tackles ADHD with Alex. She gives us a perspective of how someone with ADHD may act or think. I am unable to comment further on that without having ADHD myself, but I felt as though I understood more than I did before.
All the Feels was so charming and I couldn't get enough. I absolutely Lauren and Alex as a couple and I loved watching it all unfold. They have so much chemistry and so much depth to their feelings for the other. I want to read this book over and over again.
5 stars without a doubt! I loved Spoiler Alert on such a personal level so when I saw Olivia Dade was doing a sequel I knew I had to have it! Thankfully I got an eARC so I didn’t have to wait as long to read this. Dade tells a story that kept me eagerly turning each page. Lauren, the female protagonists, was a character I could heavily relate to. Alex, bless him and his desire to protect and love Lauren and for being the one to show Lauren that it was ok to value herself and put herself first. This books had so many emotions, a lot of “pegging” 😉, and many powerful lessons to take to heart. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I absolutely adored this wonderful book.
Olivia Dade's ALL THE FEELS was good, but not great. I hate to say anything negative about a body positive romance, as they are so sorely needed for the genre, but this book wasn't it for me. Echoing other reviewers, I feel the heavy-handed descriptions emphasizing how far from conventionally attractive Lauren is jarred me from the story and made me sad. While I loved the punchy banter and was satisfied by the HEA wrap up, I wish the character of Lauren could have been given a different treatment with fewer reminders of how ~far from the gold standard~ her body is. Bonus points for honest and necessary conversations about mental health, career burnout, and healthy conflict resolution. SPOILER ALERT and ALL THE FEELS missed the mark just a tad for me.
I screamed (internally and sent my sister the fainting Elmo gif) when I was notified that I had access to this ARC and All the Feels did not disappoint. I LOVED Spoiler Alert (I mean romance novel and fanfiction colliding - I injected it straight into my veins). I can confidently say I feel the exact same way about All the Feels. Alex and Wren's slow burn-ish, blissful ignorance of their feelings for each other had me laughing and the abundance of some of my favorite tropes (road trip, only one, and the newest addition, air conditioning that won't shut off) makes All the Feels in absolute delight. I also loved the various interludes whether it was text threads, emails, and my favorite, AO3 FanFics written by Alex and others :), and found it to be a clever transition to the next set of chapters. I will be telling all my friends to read All the Feels (and Spoiler Alert if they haven't already), and am preordering a copy now, because this will definitely be a romance novel I turn back to again and again.

Full disclosure, I actually DNF’d “Spoiler Alert.” I don’t really understand the world of fan fiction so many of the references in the first book were lost on me. Alex was actually one of the few redeeming factors in my humble opinion so when I saw he was getting his own book, I felt inclined to give Olivia Dade another chance…and I’m really glad I did! The banter between Alex and Lauren was great (I legitimately laughed out loud). Aside from the body diversity, I also really appreciated the ADHD representation. As someone with ADHD myself, it was nice to see characterization aside from the stereotypical distraction by shiny objects.
Overall this was a very enjoyable slow burn romance. Alex and Lauren has great chemistry and Olivia Dade writes about difficult topics with honesty and heart.
Holy moly! The description seems so implausible…a conventionally attractive man being really really into a conventionally unattractive woman. I went into this one expecting to be unconvinced. But I was! It makes total sense why these characters are into one another! And it’s so freaking refreshing to have a woman who’s fat and apple shaped (not, like, just hourglass but bigger) depicted as just matter of factly attractive. Because being attractive is not simply based on how closely your body fits any particular beauty norm. Attraction is alchemy, and his attraction to her reads as genuine gold.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.
From first sentence to last Olivia Dade’s All the Feels is a prolonged attack on the softest, sweetest, & also screwball comedy-loving parts of me. I loved it from beginning to end—every note is perfect.
Alexander Woodroe, an actor on a Game of Thrones-type blockbuster show, has gotten into trouble again. The showrunner gives him a minder until the show airs, the man’s cousin, whose name is Lauren Clegg & who used to work as a therapist in an ER.
Their first meeting is not auspicious & the ones that follow don’t go as Alexander would like either.
Described by a coworker as a “delightful asshole,” Alexander runs his mouth like he’s training it for a marathon & Lauren has the patience of a saint. He wants her attention…& eventually her smiles, her laughs…& later, her touch.
& Lauren comes to see that beneath his cat & also orchid-like high maintenance traits 🤣 he’s a good person. A principled person. A deeply caring person.
I could list so many fantastic things about this book. How the heroine is quietly charismatic & & relatable & admirable & confident. Lauren’s strength of character, her figuring out how to set boundaries & take up for herself w/out allowing the bullies & harassers who make fun of her appearance to take too much of her life, & her Big Harpy Energy has me with mouth agape—I love her.
& Alexander, wow, what a hero. I adore him fiercely. As Lauren & others point out, he’s whiney & charming, his heart is so pure, & he sees Lauren as the remarkable person she is. His journey too is stellar—& his realizations about how he reacts to what happens to others—his impulsive protective instincts—are truly 👏🏻.
The humor, the heart, the steam: it’s a trifecta for me. I give this one 5 huge ⭐️; it lit up every part of my heart.
Release date: 10/26.

I want to fist say thank you to the author and NetGalley for giving me the eARC. Truly enjoyed this book, fue tan adictivo y es tan freaking cute que me derrite. El libro fue maravilloso y gracious que uno más pide? Nada! Fue tan additive que fue difícil de poder parar de leer. Lo recomiendo demasiado
I've never disliked one of Olivia's books, but this one really stole my heart. The slow burn way they fell deeply and profoundly in both love and like with each other was incredibly emotionally satisfying. I really appreciated both the fat and ADHD rep, which were very carefully done.
***I received an ARC of this book, through Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.***
***Content Warning...This book discusses fatphobia (including instances where Lauren had fatphobic comments directed at her, both from strangers and family), ADHD, and domestic abuse. Please make sure to always check your triggers before starting a new book!***
Having just read "Spoiler Alert," for the first time, I was ecstatic when I saw Netgalley had approved me for this ARC. I didn't think I could love Olivia's writing any more than I already did...I was wrong. Happily so.
Olivia has a way of writing these amazing plus-size romance novels with realness infused throughout. My favorite part of both "Spoiler Alert" and "All the Feels" is that neither one contains the "insta-love" trope. We get to see these characters meet and get to know each other and have their relationships evolve into something more.
These couples are able to feel a level of comfort and trust with each other than they don't normally experience with others and that ability to be open and vulnerable with each other allows love to blossom and grow.
If you're looking for a well-written and squee-inducing plus-size romance...look no further! In "All the Feels" we get two people who think they know about the other person only to find out their totally wrong, friends to lovers, forced proximity, and so many more fantastic tropes!
My hope is that Olivia has more plans for stories set in this awesome universe because I desperately need more!
This book may seem like a light romantic comedy on the surface, but it really tackled some heavy issues with the right level of care. Alexander is an actor in danger of being tossed out of Hollywood for his emotional outbursts, but his struggles with ADHD and a heavy dose of guilt from his past are unknown to many around him. When Olivia is hired by her cousin to be Alex’s “keeper”, she tries to keep her distance from him, but his charms eventually wear her down. As they become more important to one another, Olivia struggles with her own insecurities and Alex struggles with his own past.
I really appreciated the way that the story handled Alex’s ADHD. The author explored how Alex’s ADHD effected him and his decision making instead of just making it a small part of the story. The storylines of self esteem, bullying, and domestic violence were also handled very well. I was a little frustrated with the amount of attention paid to Olivia’s size and physical appearance. I understood the idea that she was supposed to be different from the stereotypical “beautiful heroine”, but there seemed to be more of it than was necessary.
Overall, this was a story that definitely drew me in and I stayed up way too late because I just had to know what happened. I appreciated the emotional depth in the main characters’ relationship, and I the secondary characters intrigued me enough that I will be looking for more stories from this author.
I’ve been looking forward to Lauren and Alex’s story since I read Spoiler Alert earlier this year, and I was not disappointed! I really enjoyed this book, maybe even more than the first one. Lauren and Alex are great characters respectively, but really shine together. They had great chemistry and their banter had me chuckling out loud at certain moments. I also really enjoyed how the author was able to balance the rom-com feel of this book with the more serious aspects of the story, and seemed to handle these topics with the care they deserve. Overall I highly enjoyed All the Feels and I can’t wait to get my hands on a final copy when it comes out!
And the winner for most suitable book title goes to…………… ALL THE FEELS!
Holy smokes I LOVED this book. I LOVED it. I thought I might, when reading Spoiler Alert I really had a soft spot for the Alex/Lauren storyline and I thought their characters were a bit more dimensional than Marcus and April. By the time I had finished Spoiler Alert I knew I needed this story ASAP.
I love the characters, I love the cover, I loved the story and the toned down use of side materials (that was a complaint I had with SA - so many text convos and fanfic that it became too much). This book was a great slow burn and really hit me where it hurts - the character development, the banter, all of it made me so happy. Seriously, Olivia Dade knocked it out of the park!
