This was good. Not as good as No Exit, but good. I enjoyed the perspectives from both Lena and Cambry. Lena's blog format was interesting. Lena is trying to find out what happened to her sister and the story was not quite expected, but very twisty and entertaining. I did question some of the dialogue, it was a little basic at times, but overall, a decent read.

Taylor Adams takes us on another thrill ride with his newest thriller, "Hairpin Bridge". It is full of twists and hairpin turns literally and figuratively. Wanting answers for her sister's death, Lena follows in her twin sisters' footprints to pinpoint what exactly happened to her estranged sister. Throughout the novel, Lena struggles with her relationship she had with her sister and with her life. It is a book you won't want to put down!

I love a good "cat and mouse" thriller and this one hits every spot! I was anxious reading this book and didn't dare to put it down out of fear of missing something (although really, it's a book so I wouldn't technically miss anything)! Yikes! This is a thrilling, edge of your seat read filled with twists and revenge!

Entering story full of suspense and lots of twists and turns. Loved the different perspectives and formatting (blog, prose).

Wow! A book that had man layers to it. With all the layers and the information that was being provided it didn’t bore me. I was intrigued and kept flipping those pages. How the mystery unfolded. It was a story of love, loss, and finding the truth. An excellent book that is definitely recommended.

This should have be an action movie.

I loved No Exit and was beyond excited to see this one coming!!! However, somehow, this book just wasn't for me. Sadly, I almost dnf'd it. But loving No Exit so much I figured it was going to get better. It didn't.

You go back and forth in the book as to what's going on, probably what was going through Camby's mind along with things in her notebook, and what Lena wrote for her blog.

A twin sister, Lena loses her sister Cambry. According to word, she took her life off of Hairpin Bridge, but Lena is not buying the story. She goes off to Montana to clear her sisters name and set it straight. She finds the officer, Raymond Raycevic, who found her body to question him about the situation. They meet up at a cafe and he agrees to take her to the place it all happened. When they arrive she pulls out an old fashion tape recorder and asks to record their conversation. He's hesitant at first, but agrees. Hearing the story from what Raycevic tells her and what Lena believes happened is what kept me in the book turning the pages. It was kind of keeping on my toes, making the pages turning, but then it just fell.

With me loving No Exit so much I will read another of his books and I am bummed this book just wasn't for me.

Hairpin Bridge started off with a bang! I loved the second chapter. It was very intense. But the storyline veered in a different direction than what I expected. The dialogue was a little cheesy at times. Overall, it was a fast iced read and at times, super intense. I just didn't love this one

We immediately learn in this book that the main character's sister was found dead after jumping from Hairpin Bridge with a suicide note found nearby. An incomplete text never sent from Camby's phone leads Lena to believe that someone else may have been involved. Cambry had also attempted to call 911 sixteen times.
I enjoyed that the book takes place over a period of hours. This made for a fast pace and I felt like I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. In this one, The book revolves heavily around Lena's meeting with the police officer, Raymond Raycevuc, who she believes could be possibly responsible for her sister's death or at the least, be hiding information. This action takes place at the Hairpin Bridge where her sister allegedly jumped, but what follows is a long stand-off between the two in which the past events are oddly revealed - by Lena's blogs, by way of Officer Raycevuc, and by some weird flashbacks from Cambry's perspective, which appear though to have been penned by Lena as her theories of what might have happened?

I enjoyed the multiple narrators, the pace, and the suspense. I do wish I could've gotten to know the characters a little bit more personally, but it was fast and it held my attention.

This was my second book by Taylor Adams and it didn’t disappoint……I was hooked from the beginning and it kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who did it. Thanks NetGalley for the ARC

I haven’t read No Exit but heard a lot of great things so I was excited for this one. I was ready for an edge-of-the-seat and page turning thriller. This never made it for me.

Lena’s twin Cambry is assumed to be a suicide but Lena got a cryptic text from her and believes she was murdered and goes to confront her killer. The story jumps from Cambry ‘s thoughts, Lena’s blog and what she thinks happened to her sister. It was confusing. What is true and what is imagination? The only real characters are Lena and Ray and a truck driver. There was no character development and I never felt anything for any of them, no one to root for. It was one, long and drawn out show down and I was finally relieved just to get to the end.

PROS and CONS:
Adams has a gift for writing riveting stories. He can write scenes that build such anticipation that I almost have to close my eyes...amazing really! There were two scenes in Hairpin Bridge that filled me with such tension that I almost had to stop reading. Keeping the several different points of view straight - Lena’s, her blog, her imagination for Cambry… was a little difficult but a good way to bring everything together. The ending was a bit of a letdown for me.

READ IT?
If you are into action packed scenes, you won’t find a better writer for you than Taylor Adams. I’m certainly a fan!

I REALLY REALLY wanted to love this book. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I put this in my I liked it but it probably wont be the first book I recommend to anyone. I just didn't feel any real connection to any of the characters. I actually found myself not really caring what happened to them. I loved No Exit and was looking forward to this one but sadly it just wasnt the pop i was hoping for

Much different vibe than No Exit and was a bit confusing at times as to what exactly was going on. I will look forward to the authors next book since No Exit was a 5 star read for me.

I went into this book with high expectations and was no disappointed.
This is an amazing story of a sister finding out what really happened to her twin sisters death . This is a story about revenge and I loved it. So much twist and turns. I can’t wait to read more from Taylor Adams!!!!

Hairpin Bridge is a fast paced thriller that had great potential.

Lena and Cambry Nguyen haven't spoken for a while now. Cambry is the free spirited sister that is always on the move, so when Lena learns of her suicide, red flags start flying.

Lena wants to tell Cambry's story while uncovering the truth behind her death. So she drives to Hairpin Bridge, where the incident took place, to interrogate the police officer that found Cambry's body.

This book was told from so many different perspectives that I often got confused on who's head I was in. One second I'm in Lena's, then the next, within the same chapter, I'm in Ray's (the police officers). I had to continually go back and reread paragraphs because the switch happened so quickly that I kept thinking I missed something. This was a 3⭐ read for me. It definitely could have been formatted better to make for a more reader friendly experience. I usually love stories told from different POV because it keeps the reader (me) needing to know more while getting a glimpse into each character personally. Hairpin Bridge unfortunately fell short.

absolutely loved this book, even more than No Exit. I really enjoyed the plot, the twists, the fast pace. It was exactly what I needed to read.

No exit by Taylor adams was one of the most nail biting fast paced psychological thrillers I’ve ever read- this book was good but not as great compared to No Exit or his other book Eyeshot. It was very thrilling but I had a hard time keeping track of everything at some points. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free copy in exchange for review.

Just finished reading this book and wow, that ending!
This book was kind of slow to start. It felt a bit repetitive. But when it picked up, it didn’t slow down! Twist after twist after twist! I kept thinking wtf could possibly happen next?!? I was definitely taken by surprise for a few of them. Once the entire story reveals itself, it becomes clear why it seemed to drag on at first. I’m glad I kept reading. This book could have easily been 5 stars but the initial drag of it made me rate it at a 4.
I really enjoyed the different perspectives. It seemed to cycle through past and present, between Cambry, Lena, Raycevic and even the truck driver. Little clips of blog posts were also included. I loved reading from different characters, really getting a full story rather than just one or two perspectives.

I wish to thank NetGalley for this compelling revengeful psychological thriller. This is my second Taylor Adams book and another one that had me turning the page quickly.
This book takes place over a few hours. The main characters, Lena and Cambry are twins that were never close. One of the twins is dead under suspicious circumstances and the other twin is trying to determine how she died.
Allegedly, Cambry jumped to her death, although Lena believes this is not in her character. The story is told in two different timelines, with Cambry telling about her ordeal and how she ended up on Hairpin Bridge with police officer, Raymond Raycevuc, Cambry is on a solo cross-country trip after her boyfriend left along the way. She ends up in Montana and possibly saw something that she should not have. Lena is more of a recluse, only going to work at an electronics store and spending the rest of her life in her apartment. Twins could not be anymore different than these two.
Will Lena find out the truth about her sister's death? As she is following all the clues that she can discover, her own life becomes threatened by the same police officer. Is he telling the truth or hiding something? Lots of mystery in this book that will keep you up late at night.
