I have not read The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon but now I have to! The Dating Playbook starts with 3 ladies talking about their lives, goals and projects, which I am all for these days! Taylor takes the front seat for this novel and she's struggling to get her personal trainer business off the ground. I found her extremely relatable as many of us (myself included) have experienced living paycheck to paycheck. In these preview chapters, we see changing POVs with Taylor and her new potential client Jamar "Diesel" Dixon. I am all in for this book so far!

As always, Farrah Rochon has me hooked and these are just the first 4 chapters. Taylor was the standout friend in The Boyfriend Project and I am so glad to see she's getting her own book. The cliffhanger at the end of book 1 had me gasping and ready for this book. I hope in the end, she gets the break she deserves. We will find out when the book comes out! Kudos to Farrah!

I was already looking forward to The Dating Playbook and this just cemented it! Taylor was such an interesting character in The Boyfriend Project and it's exciting to get to learn more about her. She's struggling so much in these chapters but there's such an interesting prospect here that could turn everything around for her.

I'm really excited to learn more about Jamar. It sounds like he has such an interesting backstory and some big goals he's working toward and it will be really interesting to see how Taylor falls into these plans.

This sounds like it will be a really fun book for contemporary romance lovers! I love that even within 4 chapters we see the conflict start - that probably means the whole thing will be fast-paced!

This book is going to be great. I knew the moment I read The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon, that this series was going to be amazing. I love the depth of characters, the hint of romance, the banter between love interests, and the premise of a girl falling apart - hoping to build herself back up.

I'm excited to read the rest of this book!

Liked these four chapters although I worry that Taylor is a bit full of her own self-importance, I get that she's a diet and fitness trainer but her holier-than-thou attitude with her client in the supermarket was a bit irritating - and let's be honest sweet potatoes are nowhere near as delicious as potatoes LOL. Also, again, she's basing her reaction on prior experience but just assuming a guy has joined her class to hit on her is very vain, especially when he proved that he was very fit.

Anyway, not sure which way this is going to go, I might like Taylor or I might decide she is irritating.

I liked the writing style.

I loved Taylor from The Boyfriend Project and was very excited to read "The Dating Playbook". She has not disappointed in these first 4 chapters! I love her attitude and her persistence.

I can't wait to read the rest of the book and see if she gives Jamar a chance!

Just reading the first four chapters of this book has you wanting more! Even if you did not read the first book (you should) you get a good sense of the characters just from this sneak peak. Such great writing and storytelling. Can’t wait to read the book.

This was my first time reading a Farrah Rochon book and I absolutely adored it. Jamal is an ex-pro football player who is looking to hire a personal trainer to get back in shape for the next season. Taylor is on the verge of living in her car while struggling to build her personal trainer business. When Jamal comes to Taylor for training, the publicity could be life changing.

This preview was a great introduction into various factors that could either bring Jamal and Taylor together or drive them apart. Without having read The Boyfriend Project, I really enjoyed the friendship dynamic between Taylor, Samiah, and London. The support that they have for one another is real and is what I'd love to have in friends for myself. Farrah has so many different ways she can take this book and I am dying to see how it turns out.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the chance to read a free preview of this book!

I adored THE BOYFRIEND PROJECT, the first book in this series, and I jumped at the chance to preview the first 4 chapters of the upcoming one -- which I pre-ordered, like, as soon as I saw that cute cover. They just look so happy together! And orange is an unusual, eye-catching color choice.

Anyway, the preview starts out a little slowly, with a decent amount of "catching up on the story" exposition. But we see how good Taylor is at her job (for example, I appreciated that we see her give options and modifications in her training class and pushes people but not to the point of injuring themselves) and how much is working against her, and I'm really on her side. I wish we learned more about Jamar and his deal, but with only 1 out of 4 chapters from his POV, we don't know too much yet. But at least he realizes that he shouldn't pursue Taylor romantically AND ask her to work with him; I know it's a low bar, but always good to know the hero's a decent guy. The preview cuts off JUST as things start to get interesting and the stakes are set. I can't wait to find out more this summer!

I cannot wait for the release of this romance between a football player and a personal trainer! After falling in love with the first book I was eagerly awaiting the release of this one and the people at Forever must have been listening to my prayers because this preview was just the thing I needed to tide me over until August.

I absolutely devoured these first few chapters and am eagerly anticipating finally being able to read the rest. I love how Rochon handles both the humour and the romance and I adored the glimpses of the female friendship that was so well done in the first book. I love a good female friendship and these few chapters show a lot of promise.

Overall, brilliant preview! I just wish there was more (or that August was closer!)

Fake dating, cuddling to keep warm and crochet! What more do you need in a romance novel?? Just a joy to read & the author doesn’t shy away from serious topics. Loved it!

I absolutely loved the first book in the series, The Boyfriend Project, so I’ve been eagerly awaiting this one!

Taylor, Samiah, and London met after figuring out they were all dating the same man, Craig. The last book followed Samiah, and this book is all about Taylor. She’s been busting her butt trying to get her personal training and nutrition business off the ground, but just isn’t getting any traction. She’s about one rent payment away from having to live in her car when Jamar Dixon asks her to be his personal trainer so he can up his fitness game and be prepared for next season’s NFL roster. But it has to be a secret…

I am 100% here for a fake dating scenario, and the first four chapters of this book already have me so hooked. I love the friendship between the three girlfriends and the support they give each other. Plus add in a super hot footballer, and I can’t wait to read the rest! Stay tuned for more.

Just finished the preview and it immediately left me wanting the rest of the book. She's to the level of broke that it's either rent or food, so when an opportunity arises that she can't say no to, she's all in. I love watching the friendship this trio have developed from their mutual heartbreak. Taylor is a lovable, genuine character and I'm so excited to see how her story pans out.
