Given that the pandemic has forced all organizations to rethink how we define the meaning and place of work in society and for individuals of all generations, this book is a timely addition to the plethora books currently being published about the topic of the new world of work. The author is based in the UK but his lessons and case studies are applicable to the US as well where I am based. He covers a lot of ground in this book about the impact of technology, finding purpose and well-being at work and the focus on the triple bottom line. I especially liked that he has a section for Human Resource professionals with a special emphasis on organizational development specialists which is my area. There are a lot of good nuggets in this book and it would have been helpful to expand out the conclusions at the end of each chapter to include key bullets or action steps leaders and organizations should consider implementing.
