The book started off really strong and I was so excited, but as the plot transitioned and the story progressed, I started to lose interest. I would still recommend it under the right circumstances but it had so much potential it couldn't uphold.
Hello you had me at the title of this book!
Thank You so much Fovever publishing for allowing me to read an advance copy of this book.
Let's talk about what genre this one falls into
- romcom (check)
-BFF love trope (check)
-slow burn (check)
-make u laugh out loud (check, CHECK)
I really enjoyed this story line, not only are we treated with a great romcom read but the author also sprinkles in a story line of how someone deals with grief and I truly enjoyed that. I just felt that gave the book just a little extra more that I really enjoyed reading about. I give us hope that it does get better and grief does take time. Love truly does heal us. We are also given a slow burn and she totally teased us with will they or won't they get together. And HELLO Keanu ... do I need to say anymore!
Go out and read this book!
What a fun and delightful rom-com! You don't usually see older women represented in this subgenre, which makes HOW TO MARRY KEANU REEVES IN 90 DAYS such a unique and sweet narrative. Lighthearted, sexy, and all-around enjoyable!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was a light, fun book that still had some depth to it. I enjoyed it.
I absolutely adored this book, it was such a fun read. I immediately fell in love with all the characters and was intrigued throughout the entire novel.
This was my first KM Jackson, but it certainly will not be my last! This book was so stinkin' cute! I really enjoyed the alternating perspectives of Lu and True telling the story. I also really enjoyed how this book "name-drops" a lot of celebs. It made it feel like I was watching E! Network while reading a fictional book. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for a copy of this book for an honest review.
This was such a fun story of following your dreams, finding yourself, and realizing true love has been right by your side the whole time.
I really enjoyed Bethany & True’s escapades, the fun celebrity cameos and, of course, all the Keanu references. From beginning to end this story is truly an adventure!
Really interesting premise. I loved that the characters are over 40. I am here for all the love stories between older characters. There were two main things that I really did not enjoy about this book.
1. All the celebrity name droppings/citings. I think that on a book that mentions a real person (KR) this is probably appropriate but I still found it annoying.
2. The fact that Lu never really delved deep into what was the "break" that caused her to pursue this relationship/marriage with KR. In some ways I see this as a comp to Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and the one thing that worked well in that show is that the show and even the main character Rebecca knows that leaving her job to go be with her ex-boyfriend is not healthy and "normal". I think that Jackson really missed the opportunity to explore that more for the character of Lu and for the reader.
Overall it was an enjoyable read that had a nice love story.
How To Marry Keanu Reeves in 90 Days by K.M. Jackson is out today! Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy.
CW for long term grief and anxiety.
True has had a crush on Lu for a long time, but he was her brother’s best friend and they have a shared history that would make it hard to start dating. But when Lu hears that her celebrity crush, Keanu Reeves, is set to marry in 90 days, she and Tru go on an epic road trip to try and meet him and try to convince him to fall in love with her instead.
I admit that the whole premise seemed fun for a while, but it was a little over the top for me. The main characters were about my age and the whole chasing a celebrity to stop his marriage seemed wild even for a big fan of many actors. True certainly was deep in the friend zone for so long too, their relationship felt one sided for a lot of the book as well.
But despite all that, it was a fun read. Lots of Keanu and other celebrity references, one bed forced proximity sex scenes and a friends to lovers trope. DM if you need more details on the content warning or to chat!
I could not get interested in this book. I was sort of annoyed by the characters in the beginning and I couldn't focus on what was happening at the beginning either. There was nothing interesting to hook me into the story. It also didn't explain the main character's obsession with Keanu Reeves and why she would be so concerned that he is getting married. It was an odd story line and I had to DNF. Thanks for the option to try it.
I loved this book! This book is funny, heartfelt and a fun adventure for the main character finding love.
And yes she is obsessed with KR but who isn't?
Get this book for a fun quick read.
I so wanted to love this book. The cover is adorable and the plot seemed so fun and quirky but it sadly just wasn't the book for me. I think if you're into celebrity culture and have ever had a crush on a celebrity you may enjoy this one though.

A delightful romp from start to finish! Fabulous interactions between the friends. If you’re looking for a light, fast, read, this is a fantastic one!
After hearing tabloid reports that Keanu Reeves is getting married, Bethany Lu becomes determined to get him to call off the wedding and marry his actual soulmate (her). Her BFF, True, agrees to help her find Keanu, and the two go on one wild adventure after another - just barely missing Keanu each time. Will she get Keanu to call off the wedding in time? Or will she discover that her True love (she what I did there?) has always been there for her?
I really enjoyed this friends-to-lovers romance, but I think it was just a little too over-the-top for me. I need my romance books to be believable - and I couldn’t buy that they could basically find Keanu Reeves multiple times. It was a cute, quick read! If you’re a Keanu fan, I recommend you read this.
Thanks to @NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for my ARC!
I included How to Marry Keanu Reeves in 90 Days in my monthly and weekly roundup of new releases and spotlighted it as Book of the Day on all of my Black Fiction Addiction platforms.

I had so much fun reading this (listening to this). This was a perfect book to pick up if you just want to tune out everything and smile for a little while. I'm not really a "Keanu girl" so if you're not, like me, you'll be happy to know this book isn't so much about Keanu, but more so about the idea of Keanu. It's about what him and his movies mean to Lu.
Lu and her best friend (who's obviously always been in love with her) True go on this quest to meet Keanu and they end up in the middle of so many crazy shenanigans. I absolutely adored it. And, I loved True, I was just in love with him!
I was initially excited about this book based on its fun premise and fabulous cover. Unfortunately, it left me disappointed and I ultimately DNF'd this book. The characters felt like early twenties, rather than forties, and the idea that this woman is so obsessed with Kaneau Reeves she abandons her life to go on a road trip in search of them is literally insane, stalker behavior. On reading the blurb, I thought it was more of a tongue-in-cheek joke, and then the first page references the MC's "insanity" almost as a joke, but I keep reading and it seems odd, and not funny.
But ultimately, the reason I decided not to finish the book was because it was taking too long for anything to happen, and was incredibly slow. Perhaps others will enjoy this, particularly those looking for a later-in-life heroine who is a bit on the quirkier side, but it just wasn't the book for me.
Thanks to Forever for my eARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What the WHAT!!! How to Marry Keanu Reeves in 90 Days was an overwhelming obsession story about Keanu Reeves. And I enjoyed him as much as many others, but it was just TOO MUCH!! I was not too fond of Bethany and her stalker-like tendencies and not seeing what was in front of her face the entire time. I enjoy some pop culture references, but this whole story was just over the top, and I found myself zoning out on celebrity name drops and appearances. For a book labeled as a romantic comedy, once again, I find that this author and her team missed the mark.

My Highly Caffeinated Thought: A charming and fun read centered around a Keanu Reeves obsession.
In HOW TO MARRY KEANU REEVES IN 90 DAYS, Jackson tells a friends-to-lovers story with heart, witty banter, and a bit of heat on the side. Not to mention the celebrity cameos that will bring a smile to the reader's face.
Within the pages of this book, you will meet a cast of characters as unique as they are diverse. Bethany Lu’s personality beams off the page, and the moments where her inner dialog is said out loud create humor and pure enjoyment. However, the best part is how she relates and interacts with the people within these pages. Then, of course, there is Lu’s relationship with True as it becomes the main storyline as they go on the quest to find Keanu Reeves.
If you are a celebrity lover or just someone who likes to read the magazines at the checkout lines, you will love this book. There is a thread of loss intertwined within the characters' stories. However, for the most part, this is a lighter read. It completely hits all the Keanu Reeves loving notes.
