It was a fun and Sweet romance novel! The main couple had great chemistry, but the Story Lost me a little in the middle. Maybe it was due To the reading slump I had in June. Jubilee was a great main character, but I got To admit that I liked the love interest, Blake, even more. He was the hot-but-a-bit-weird/quircky guy I love To read about. The miscommunication at the end was not my favorite though. I’ll be reading more from this author in the future, that’s for sure.

I absolutely adore Mila Nicks' writing style. She is great at incorporating real life issues as well as romance tropes.

We meet Blake after he is left at the altar by his fiance Val. Val runs off with some guy Trip. Blake is from an extremely wealthy family. His friends convince him to go on his 2 week cruise honeymoon alone. So he does. On this cruise, he meets Jubilee, a cruise entertainer, with an amazing voice. Blake instantly is entranced. The two take up a little affair while on the cruise and fall more in love each and every day. But will the difference in lifestyles mesh well or cause this cruise to be a sinking ship?

I love how Nicks built each character up individually and then together. She made sure to allow each character to face their own trials and then to face trials together. There was a little bit of steaminess, which was very realistic that made it intriguing. I loved the ending and also the villain that popped up a few times to cause strife. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

'You're not my second choice or my first choice. You are my only choice"

This one was a perfect getaway that I desperately needed. A millionaire handsome charming guy falling for the ever so cheery and charming singer, what more do you want.

Full of cruise, traveling, food, swoon worthy romance, the author surely knows how to make the readers experience major FOMO.
This one had everything I needed. My new favourite book and I loved each and every part of it.

The chemistry between Blake and Jubilee was just *chef's kiss* They fit perfectly together and had so much understanding and love for each that you cannot help but love them.

The other characters like Dawson were so perfectly written and they blended so beautifully. A story of love, pursuing your dreams and how you can brave anything if you have the right person by your side.

I am in love with the author's writing and I cannot wait to read more from her. This was a perfect book for a rainy day with a coffee in hand. Loved it, just loved it.

Thank you Netgalley for the review copy. #ForVacationOnly #NetGalley

This book lost me in Rome. I get the suspension of disbelief but as someone who lived in Rome, that was just not possible in any way.
Also, I kept waiting for the spark between our main characters and I couldn't find it.
This is not a bad book I just hoped for a lot more and didn't get it.
I wished the book itself was as amazing and beautiful as the cover was.

✨Is there somewhere I can sign up for a hot billionaire like this? Cause damn 🥵 I will sign up for that service immediately✨

As a future wh*re for nerdy men, I had the biggest crush on Clark Kent when I was a kid. And Henry Cavil’s existence just made that crush worse. Now imagine Bruce Wayne’s sexy billionaire vibe combined with Clark Kent’s nerdy wholesomeness, that was the hero. And by god was he in love with the heroine 😍

Tropes:
🥺 nerdy, wholesome, cinnamon roll billionaire hero
🎤sweet, sunshine singer heroine (she gave me so many Eve Brown vibes at times) + she’s a badass Latina
🏖 atmospheric vacation romance on a cruise
❤️ “no one gets me like you” vibes
🥰hero pushes the heroine to achieve her dreams and is her biggest fan (this trope makes me melt 🥺)

Summary:
After getting jilted at the altar, Blake goes on his honeymoon alone and befriends Jubilee, a beautiful singer on the cruise ship and their friendship quickly becomes more than that.

This is such a sweet summery, vacation romance with the cutest, most “made for each other” kind of couple. They had fantastic chemistry and were written so realistically.

You know that feeling when you have been hanging out by the beach all day and come home after having a great time? Your skin is warm, your legs ache in the best way, you feel like you're glowing, and you just want to wrap up in a blanket and go to sleep after a nice cool shower. This was the feeling this book gave me. It was so wholesome, romantic, and glowy. It was just what I needed.

And just look at that cover 😍 The publishing industry needs to never stop coming out with beautiful covers like this. It is a perfect embodiment of what this book feels like.

I loved how both were flawed and were in desperate need of development. These two just completed each other. The trope where one MC is the other MC's biggest supporter and constantly pushes them to unlock their full potential makes me absolutely melt. This book was full of that trope. The heroine is a singer on the cruise ship they are on and the hero is constantly pushing her to achieve her dreams.

I could constantly go on about Blake. That man is so in love with Jubilee, it made my heart squeeze. Watching them fall in love with each other with their beautiful vacation destinations as a backdrop was absolutely amazing. I loved getting to travel and experience their romance with them.

I normally don’t like vacation romances because the MCs don’t take the relationship seriously because it’s “just a vacation fling.” That was not the case with the book and I was so thankful for that. Their relationship was so mature and beautiful. They were so supportive and loving, they didn’t let a vacation hold them back from being together 🥰

My only problem with the book was that I felt their conflicts were a little finicky and unnecessary because they did stem from miscommunication. The characters were showing a lot of maturity throughout the book so it was a little uncharacteristic in my opinion. I am not a fan of miscommunication-based conflicts.

If you are looking for a sweet, simple, feel-good, summer read, this is the book for you! Plus you’ll get to support a wonderful debut indie author 🙌🏼 This came out on June 11th. You have to pick this book up right now!

Holiday romance with an element of forced proximity, swoon worthy hero and a talented heroine? This was magical.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Stars
Steam: 🌶🌶/5 (slow burn but some steamy scenes later on in this book)

This book starts out with our two main characters each reeling from a end of a relationship. One gets left at the alter, but decides to still go on his honeymoon by himself (a 14 day cruise). The other she gets broken up with by her boyfriend. She works on the cruise ship as a singer.

I liked the dual narration for the chapters! It told a good story! This story has a diverse main character so we love to see that!

The cruise ship setting makes for a perfect summer romance read! Makes me want to go on a cruise like now! This book is super cute. So many romantic and sweet moments. Some of it is a slow so it takes a bit to get into it but overall a good read. Also I love the head steward Dawson

It made me want to travel! I’ve been to Rome and Barcelona so when they were at those cities I really enjoyed that. Brought up a lot of memories!

It’s a sweet romance read that’s perfect for the summer with a nice touch of spice 😉

I AM GUSHING STILL ABOUT THIS BOOK! I finally finished reading the ARC, and Jubilee and Blake’s relationship and romance are absolutely STEAMY, beautiful, wholesome....just perfect. I could truly gush about this story... There's so much to this especially the delicious slow burn, going from being strangers to friends to kissing friends and then SO MUCH MORE. This is a very fun escapist read for the summer (or any season ), and I just love Jubliee for being a talented woman of color slowly coming into her own, and Blake, who comes from money and status, who is super sweet.

Thank you so much, Net Galley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC for my honest review.

This was a cute summer read!

Blake is an heir to a large fortune and is set to marry an heiress. However, the day before their wedding, she's leaves him at the alter. This leaves Blake with a 2 week luxury cruise all to himself.

Jubilee is a talented singer on the cruise that Blake is set to relax on. These two meet the night she performs her solo and they form an instant connection. As Jubliee has been on apart of this cruise line for quite awhile, she agrees to be Blake's tour guide for his 2 week trip.

Overall this was a really cute breezy read. The setting is so fun. We get to read about them visiting some of my dream destinations in the Mediterranean.

My only complaint is that it was missing some kind of spark. Their chemistry seemed rushed at times and the dialog was a bit cringey.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC!

Although this book intrigued me, I wasn't overly excited to read it, so admittedly didn't get around to reading it too quickly, something I now regret. I loved the characters, and the descriptions of each place and sight were fantastic, and made me want to visit some of them. There were several twists and turns, but the happily ever after was perfect and worth waiting for. I'd definitely recommend

When billionaire heir Blake Is stood up at the altar, he decides to take his jilted heart on his honeymoon cruise. There is runs into singer songwriter Jubilee, who is a cruise-ship singer while she dreams of her big break.
Their relationship begins when Jubilee agrees to be Blake’s tour guide at the ports of call. Will they become something more or will the gap between their respective backgrounds stand in their way.

Overall, super cute “star crossed lovers” romance. It runs a little long in places but is an enjoyable read

I liked that this book had the MALE lead as the one jilted at the alter and I enjoyed the leads being from different worlds, but I just felt no chemistry between Jubilee and Blake. I wanted to love them together, since they were each likable characters as individuals, but I was missing the spark between them.

If you are looking for a unique summer romance, this book is for you!
This books follows Blake and Jubilee, who are both recently dumped by their partners. Blake was left at the alter and Jubilee got dumped by her on- and off-again cruise ship boyfriend. Blake decides to do something spontaneous and go on his honeymoon cruise by himself. While watching one of the live performances offered on the ship, Blake becomes completely taken in by Jubilee's singing. What starts as a friendship and port city guided tours will grow into a deeper connections despite coming from different backgrounds. Can their vacation only romance turn into something long lasting?
This book swept me away from page one. The characters, setting, and writing had me completely interested until the very end. I enjoyed getting to know Blake and Jubilee throughout their vacation! They both were so down-to-earth and just wanted a person in their life to really see them! Their romance and chemistry were well developed and realistic. Their moments together had me smiling and giddy because they both seemed to complete each other as well as accepted the other for who they truly were. Some of the other secondary characters were not really developed, but seemed to be there just to support the main characters scenes. I loved the growth both characters underwent. It meeting each other and falling in love, they gained the courage they both needed in order to achieve their dreams. The ending let me well satisfied. Overall, I would recommend this book to those who are looking for a very enjoyable summer beach read. I can't wait for this author's next new release!

This was a cute summer read! The story follows Blake Mulligan who decides to go on his 2 week honeymoon cruise solo after being left at the altar. While on the cruise, he begins to fall for the cruise singer Jubilee. But will their budding romance be able to survive after the cruise is over?

I loved the setting of this on the cruise and reading about their travels across the Mediterranean. Blake was also a really sweet character and I was really rooting for him and Jubilee. The plot and supporting characters did feel a little one dimensional at times, but this was still a quick, easy read that would be perfect to binge read at the beach!

The writing was so playful, also enjoyable to read. Both these characters were so relatable.
If you're looking for something to kick a reading slump or if you just want a fun, romantic book to sweep you off your feet this summer: look no further.

For Vacation Only is a breezy rom-com about two adrift souls who embrace adventure and find love along the way. The writing is predictable and on-the-nose, but not every story needs to be an emotional epiphany. Sometimes, a book hits the spot simply by being sweet and feel-good, and this one is carried all the way to the happy ending by the cute-as-a-button OTP. A thoroughly enjoyable adventure!
