This is book two in The Lost Corisis Series and it is Riley and Gavin's story and omg this is definitely a must read. When Riley gets stood up yet again and left sitting in a coffee shop on her own things are not adding up especially as it is happening with her job as well and she has never had this happen before as she is a friendly person and now it seems like no one wants anything to do with her and that can become very lonely. Gavin works for the family company with his dad at Denham Global and he would take over the company when his father retired even though it is not what he really wants so when his father wants Gavin to find a girlfriend and get engaged within six months of loose the company Gavin begins to worry about his dad's state of mind and it will put Gavin in a difficult position. Riley is a positive person and believes in love where as Gavin doesn't do relationships and he has no intention of ever getting married but when they meet nothing goes according to plan even though the connection and chemistry between them is so strong but will Gavin change his attitude and mind about how he feels or will be miss out on something really special with Riley only time will tell. I absolutely love this book and I couldn't put it down as it was a real page turner and so addictive. I loved how Riley helped Gavin to see a different way of life and even though he tried hard to fight it the person inside him wasn't the person that he wanted to be anymore especially after spending a lot of time with Riley as they were so perfect together but he just had to take that giant leap and let down his walls and let people in. Ruth Cardello is an amazing author and writer and I absolutely love her books as they have so much depth to and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I can't wait to read more of her books in the future.

I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this book.

He Said Never😢

This is only my second book by this author and the more I read of her books, the more I love them❣️And honestly, I think this book is better than the first one in this series, even though that one was good, this one is light-hearted, fluffy and sweet with some steam thrown in🔥

We met Riley in book one as Teagan’s best friend but also as the person Gian was trying to meet to find out if she could be related to one of his family members😊 When they discover their is a family connection, unfortunately Riley’s mother and twin brother aren’t as keen to get to know them. This story however, shows Riley getting to know them better but also her chance meeting with a man in a coffee shop by the name of Gavin😍

I really enjoyed this story, it was quick paced and romantic and I can’t tell you how many times I smiled throughout the story and had a laugh at all their antics🤩 I will definitely be reading more by this author in the future….I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and willingly leave my honest review❤️

He Said Never is book two in The Lost Corisis series but can be read as a complete standalone. I know this for sure as this is my very first book by this author and I had no difficulty at all following along with the characters or the story line.

Riley has recently discovered she has family she didn't know about, and while she wants to develop a relationship with them, this has caused some issues with her mother and brother. She is also not having much luck in the dating world and there is a part of her that is starting to wonder if the two things are connected.

Riley happens to run into Gavin one day, and though their meeting is less than ideal, there is a connection on both people's sides. For his part, Gavin is trying to balance issues related to his father and his father's company.

I really liked both Riley and Gavin as the main characters and I overall enjoyed the story line. I think Riley and Gavin had good chemistry and could easily see them together. I thought the book was well written and was happy to have found a new author that I would like to read more from in the future.

Never Say Never....

Once again Ruth Cardello takes us on another romantic ride, that we don't want to end!

Riley is fun, funny, lovable. amazing and loyal. She deserves someone who gets her and isn't afraid to stand up to her newly discovered brother Dominic, who is rich and powerful but well meaning.

She finds that and more when she literally stops Gavin in his tracks in a coffee shop. Gavin doesn't quite know what to make of the beautiful woman. He makes her an offer which she immediately turns down and he can't get her off his mind.

By chance they meet again and he once again, insults her by thinking she's a kept woman but there's something about her that keeps drawing him in and soon their world collide...perhaps his Dad wasn't as crazy as he thought when he challenged him to find a wife.

Another well written book in this series that is the perfect combination of angst and romance

If you read the previous book ion this series then you have already met Riley now we get the story as she navigates a relationship with her newly found brother and also tries to placate her mother and to make things even more complicated she has to deal with Gavin. Her mother was terrified of her father and she judges his son the same way after all he shares the Corisis surname. Dominic just wants a chance to finally get to know the sister he never knew he had. Gavin's father just wants him to settle down and start a family and Gavin sees his chance with Riley he will help her with her brother and she will be his fiancée The only problem is he is starting to have feelings for her and those feelings are making him grow. What happens when he has to make a choice will he pick Riley You will have to read to see

He Said Never is such a wonderful pull at your heart read. I loved every moment of this one. Riley is simply wonderful. I love how she does not back away from getting to know her extended family and seeing the best in people. There is such cute banter between Riley and Gavin that you are going to love and it will put a smile on your face. Gavin is so anti relationship that it took him a push that he really needed to see how life can be. I love all the changes in Gavin. There is something really special about Riley and Gavin that will just melt your heart. I could not put this one down. You really need to one click this one and meet Gavin and Riley. Lets not forget you get to see what Dominic Corisis gets into. I cannot wait for more of The Lost Corisis to come next.

Sweet, beautiful, romantic and enjoyable, I loved this book.

A wonderful love story with emotional moments and funny ones too, so much going on and never a dull moment.
You really can’t go wrong with one of Ruth’s books, and if it involves the Corisis that’s even better.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

🌆A new favorite in the series!😍

I have nothing negative and plenty of positive reaction to Riley and Gavin's story. It's so well-written and I liked the characters so well that it was a quick read, right down to the will-they-survive-this-rift climax and the family-packed ending.

Cardello created two characters with a big difference in socio-economic backgrounds and the way their parents raised them, but with an important similarity: both were raised by one parent soured on relationships by their own bad experiences in romance. Riley's positive, open personality is just so different from Gavin's when she first gets to know him, and I loved his gradual transformation throughout the story as he woos her. The secondary couple subplots added a nice touch, especially bridal client Eugenia and her mother-dominated husband and the surprise object of Riley's mom's affection!

There's some heat to spice up the romance but this is much more a personalities and attitudes to life clashing then meshing tale with emotional and family baggage thrown in. The complicated Corisi family tree is very involved in the plot, particularly some behind the scenes moves by Dominic Corisi, Riley's recently-revealed half-brother.

I've really come to adore this family and the various novels Ruth Cardello has written about them. This may be the story I've enjoyed most so far, but I'm hoping for some remaining singletons in the family to get their own romantic adventure.

Thanks to Montlake and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Riley is still trying to figure out her place in the world after learning she has a family she never knew existed. As well as being extremely rich her new brother, Dominic Corisi, is very protective and interferes in her life in more ways than one. Gavin’s father has just told him he needs to get married in order to take over the family business but the one thing that is certain, Gavin never intends to marry. However, once he meets Riley he doesn’t stand a chance in keeping that vow.

He Said Never is another beautifully written love story which this author does so well. I loved Gavin and Riley’s characters as they seemed so different from each other in many ways but they really were perfect for each other after all was said and done. These two met in such a unique way with a bit of humor in the mix which starts the story rolling. Gavin really didn’t stand a chance from the beginning. I adore this author’s style of writing as she does family, humor, loud, sweet, sexy and sometimes tears so well. You can never go wrong with any of Mrs. Cardello’s stories.

I don’t give a 5 star rating often, but, this book deserves it. I loved Riley! I loved her outlook and how she cares for family, both new family members and the ones that have always been in her life. She was the perfect match for Gavin’s cynicism. They were able to overcome Dominic’s interference in his trying to protect the ones that he loves. Another winner!

This was the first book I've read by this author and I really enjoyed it! Riley was fun but it took me a little while to actually like Gavin. He got on my nerves a little but like Riley, once we got to know him, he turns into someone you love. I hope there will be more in the series and can't wait to read them!

What an emotional journey!

Gavin starts out absolutely sure of himself, who he is, and what he wants in life. Just like his father, until recently when dear old dad started acting a lot more sentimental and is now requiring that Gavin produce a fiancée before he can take over the company. Determined not to let his dad dictate his life, Gavin considers asking someone to pose as his fiancée and when he sees Riley in the coffee shop, he thinks he might have found his candidate.

Riley has been stood up - again - and is in no mood for the fickle attentions of unreliable men. That's the version of her that Gavin meets, and it's clear neither of them is what the other needs. But that doesn't seem to matter when their paths cross again.

I loved how sure Gavin was, how he clung to the word "never" like a lifeline, until he found himself, quite literally against his will, falling in love and finding his person. The part I loved most in this story was how there was never an ounce of miscommunication - these two were brutally honest with each other right from the start and not afraid to call each other out along every step of the way. Except for a discussion he had with her brother, that is.

I am totally in love with the entire Romano side of the Corisi/Romano extended family, and I felt right at home when the whole fam-damily gathered around the table. The strength of these stories is in the bedrock of family values that guide each of the characters along their journeys.

Gavin and Riley enjoy a wondrously romantic journey to their HEA and I loved every bit of it. The secondary romance was a sweet surprise, bringing happiness on so many different levels. The heartwarming romantic gesture at the end was sublime, making all Riley's dreams come true.

I savored every moment, every paragraph, every exquisite scene in this amazing book. Each one of these interconnected stories reveals more growth in the expanding Corisi family; making each one better than the last only because of all the cumulative happiness. If you know who Dominic Corisi is, then you owe it to yourself to read this book. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Oh I loved this! I have a feeling I'm going to like this spin-off series much more. I love the broody male alpha and how Riley understands him.

The romantic buildup and anticipation was great but the smutty scenes was just okay. There aren't too many so it didn't take away too much for me.

I also felt that Fara meeting the Corisis for the first time would have been made a bigger deal as the story emphasises just how difficult that would be. But that was completely brushed over. But again, as this wasn't the main plot, I didn't mind at all too much.

Overall, I loved this for the connection between Riley and Gavin. Their banter was witty, their connection clicked and they are good together.

The second book in The Lost Corisis series. It is a standalone but it helps to have read the first book so you are familiar with the background and characters.
I really enjoyed the developing relationship between Gavin and Riley. I also enjoyed the continuation of the family
dynamics evolving.
Easy and quick read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an independent review.
3.5 stars

I absolutely loved this book from start to finish.

I loved Riley and her optimistic outlook on life that helped her to see the best in people rather than the flaws. I also loved Gavin and his stubborn refusal to try change and his confusion when change happened anyway.

As a couple they were completely believable and I personally enjoyed reading them discovering a friendship and building on that.

I got a bit lost sometimes with Riley's extended family but the author has shown the different sides to how family works and how communication is essential.

It isn't often these days a new to me author makes me want to binge read their back catalogue but I can honestly say Ruth Cardello is definitely on that list!

I really enjoyed Riley and Gavin! Riley finds herself in the most complicated of family webs, but her newly found family are truly looking out for her, in the most obnoxious of ways. Gavin is afraid of commitment due to his own upbringing but simply can't help himself when he meets Riley!
I love how Riley stays true to who she is throughout the whole book. And Gavin for seeing that about her and loving her for it. Gavin isn't easily spooked when her meddling family true to run him off. The pair take their time with each other, learning about each other and learning how to be together.
I really enjoyed the writing style of the author, this was my first book by her and it won't be the last!

This was a fun book to read. I also read the first book in the series and was excited to have the opportunity to read this book as well. I’m not sure how realistic it is to have family as rich and powerful as the Corisis, but it’s fun to dream. Gavin and Riley’s story is so much fun with a little bit of intrigue! Definitely take the time to check it out!

Riley has a very complicated family situation she is trying to navigate without hurting anyone. Gavin has been issued an ultimatum by his Father. When the 2 meet sparks fly. This is a romance with a predictable ending but I still enjoyed the book. Perfect for a quiet afternoon, maybe on the beach. Likable characters for the most part, some who start out kind of rough but redeem themselves in the end. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

A story of dark secrets.....
Riley doesn’t want her mom to know that she’s been seeing her newly discovered family, the Corisi clan. Riley’s biological father made her mother’s life hell, and even though he’s dead, her fear of anyone who shares his last name lives on.

After attending two funerals, Gavin’s father has decided Gavin needs a wife and children to be happy. Rather than inheriting his family’s company, Gavin now must earn his way back into his father’s good graces by producing a fiancée.

Everything with Riley would have gone easier if he had just lied to her about his meeting with her brother Dominic. The truth would have hurt her, and that was the last thing he wanted.

He never wanted a relationship, but when he is forced to choose between business or a future with her, he realizes he’ll choose her every time.
