Little Pieces of Hope is a perfect book to keep on your desk. It offers a brief glimpse of sunshine and fun--a breath of fresh air. Todd Doughty has collection page after page of reasons to smile. Little Pieces of Hope is an ideal gift, too.
This is a charming book that would be lovely to browse through at random, opening to a page that will probably give you a moment of happiness and even hope. (I didn't find that rushing through it, and especially the chaotic formatting of the e-galley on NetGalley, did it favors.) But what a wonderful a Christmas gift this would be in its printed form, which is delightful. Link is to an interview with author Doughty I did for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
What a breath of fresh air during these crazy times. I love that this book can be picked up and read in any order. The vignettes always make me smile!
What a beautiful book. It does what's on the tin -- a book of little pieces of hope. There's a scattering of short essay bits throughout, based on certain topics. But overall, it's just lists upon lists of sweet things that bring joy and hope into our lives.
